Lady Melissa soon regained her composure, answering Justin's question.
"No, he's not my lover, he's a friend of mine that passed away suddenly."
Although Lady Melissa told Justin that she was going to be answering his questions, it didn't exactly mean that she would be truthfully answering them.
Lady Melissa had never said she would be truthfully answering them, though she decided she wouldn't lie too much.
She didn't want lying to become a part of her, subconsciously or not.
"He's your friend? I thought he was your lover since you were crying a lot."
Justin said, explaining to Lady Melissa why he had even thought of Baron Kevin as her lover.
"I can see why you thought that way, though I can tell you that he is no lover of mine, I'm sure you've run a background check on me to know that I had no sort of lovers in the past."
Lady Melissa said, knowing that Justin had already run a background check on her the moment she had first seen him.
"Well, I knew you had no past lovers though one could never be too sure, I thought that the one from yesterday was perhaps a hidden lover that you somehow had managed to keep hidden."
Justin said, telling Lady Melissa that he had thought she hid her lover so well, that practically nobody knew of his presence.
"You know it's easier said than done, hiding a lover, that is, people like to run their mouths so easily, I don't think I'd ever be able to hide a lover from everyone."
Lady Melissa said, telling Jusin that she didn't think she'd be able to hide her lover from everyone.
Lady Melissa genuinely thought that way, she felt as if she would accidentally make a slip-up and accidentally reveal that she had a secret lover.
Hiding a lover from a few people was hard enough, but hiding it from almost everyone or everyone? That was impossible.
"I agree with you, I believe it is hard to hide that sort of thing with everyone with the number of eyes and ears nowadays."
Justin said, telling Lady Melissa that he agreed with her.
Lady Melissa simply nodded her head, feeling the same way as Justin.
"Is there any other question you'd like to ask me?"
Lady Melissa asked Justin, wondering if he had any other questions that he would like to ask her.
"I have hundreds of questions in my head, though I'm pretty sure you wouldn't, or couldn't give an answer for most of them though, so no other questions. What about you though Lady Melissa? Do you have any questions to ask me?"
Justin said, telling Lady Melissa that he had hundreds of questions to ask her, but he knew that she wouldn't answer most of them, deciding that since Lady Melissa wouldn't answer them, he wouldn't ask them.
"Well, any questions that weren't included in your file? I don't think so, though truth be told I have a couple of questions, but sometimes it's best to forget the past."
Lady Melissa said, hinting to Justin that she had a few questions regarding his past.
"No, believe me Lady Melissa, I've moved on from the past, as hurtful as it was."
Justin said, telling Lady Melissa that he had moved on from the past.
"Is that so?"
Lady Melissa asked, wondering if Justin had truly moved on from the past.
"Yes, now are there any questions regarding the past you would like to ask me?"
Justin asked Lady Melissa, wondering if she had any questions regarding his past that she would like to ask me.
"Your file says that you lived with your sister in the streets when the both of you were younger, but the file does not mention anything about your parents, could you tell me about them?"
Lady Melissa asked, wondering about Justin's parents and who they were.
"Truthfully, I don't know much about my parents either, and neither did my sister. I don't know anything about my father, but me and my sister were born in a brothel, my mom was a prostitute."
Justin said, telling Lady Melissa about where he and his sister were and his mother's occupation.
"Oh."
Lady Melissa said, not expecting Justin to say that, as she didn't know how to reply.
"Yeah, I think my father was a client of my mother's and it was just an accident."
Justin said, stopping his sentence before he quickly continued.
"Me and my sister, have different fathers I assume, since my mother was a prostitute, I doubt that they were the same people."
Justin said, explaining to Lady Melissa that he believed his and his sister's dad's were different people.
"So your mom raised you and your sister for the first few years of your childhood?"
Lady Melissa asked, wondering if Justin's mother had raised him and his sister for the first few years of his childhood.
"I wouldn't say that she raised us, she had never really taken care of me or my sister, and her co-workers hated us, at least most of them did. A few of them felt bad for kicking us out since we were children so they let us stay."
Justin said, explaining to Lady Melissa that his mother's coworkers had allowed him and his sister to stay in the brothel.
"We would eat scraps of food from the brothel and we would be asked to clean the rooms after they had intercourse with their clients."
Justin said, as Lady Melissa instantly felt bad, not being able to imagine the kind of trauma Justin and his sister had to go through at such a young age.
"It wasn't that bad though, I mean we were given food and shelter."
Justin said, as he looked at Lady Melissa's eyes, not wanting her to feel guilty.
"You were a child, you couldn't just be kicked out, you should've been treated properly, and you shouldn't have to go through that."
Lady Melissa said, telling Justin.
