There were probably a bunch of other reasons why a parent would leave their child in an orphanage, but Lady Melissa was sure there weren't many.

The next two men she had chosen were Noel and Nathan, they were brothers and they had similar appearance though there was a clear distinction with the both of them.

One of them was blonde haired, while the other was grey haired, and their eye colors were different as well, the blonde haired who was named Noel had the colour purple.

While the other sibling, named Nathan who was grey haired had the colour black, and Lady Melissa assumed that the both of them had different personalities as well.

"Call Derreck for me, and tell him to come here."

Lady Melissa told Justin, as he quickly followed her orders as he searched around the estate to tell Derreck about Lady Melissa's message for him.

Justin soon came back, with Derreck this time as he knocked on the door, patiently waiting for Lady Melissa to allow the both of them in.

Derreck opened the door, wondering why he had been summoned by Lady Melissa, he had thought that she'd take more time to decide on her jew bodyguards; though it looked like he thought wrong.

"I've already chosen which ones I want as my new bodyguards, I expect them to start working from Monday."

Lady Melissa said, as she handed the list of candidates to be her future bodyguards with other people who weren't going to be a part of her future bodyguards to Derreck.

"Alright, may I know which three of them out of the ten people that you have chosen to be your mew bodyguards?"

Derreck asked Lady Melissa, needing to know which one of the people that Lady Melissa had chosen so he could communicate with them and tell them that they got the position.

"I've circled their names with red ink, but the ones that I've chosen are Clara, Noel and Nathan. Any more questions?"

Lady Melissa asked Derreck as he shaked his head, telling Lady Melissa that he didn't have any more questions to ask her.

"Great, you can go now."

Lady Melissa said to Derreck, as she brought both her hands together and giving Derreck a big smile as he soon left her room.

Lady Melissa realized that she might've put Derreck in a tough position, since he only had four days to communicate with them, then again he had managed to find them in a matter of less than twenty four hours.

So this shouldn't be a problem for Derreck, or at least not that big of a problem for Derreck. Tomorrow was the day Lady Melissa was going to be attending Duchess Victoria's ball.

The ball was in the afternoon and it would go on till hours on end, though that was to be expected since it was a ball.

It was a masquerade ball though, so Lady Nelissa like many others would be wearing a mask on her face, and hide her identity.

It was going to be pretty obvious who was who though because even a part of the face was hidden there were other distinctive features on who a person was.

Like their hair colour or the colour of their eyes, or even how they spoke to others. When the little details were added up with each other it would be enough to know who was who.

Then again, not many people have seen Lady Melissa's identity yet, at most all they heard of her would be rumours of her appearance, so it would be a pleasant surprise for them.

Lady Melissa would be able to find out about other nobles' personalities without them knowing her identity since they hadn't seen her before yet.

Something about that fact felt comforting to Lady Melissa, she could hide herself behind a curtain without anyone knowing her identity.

Though Lady Melissa did wonder how she was supposed to greet Duchess Victoria if nobody knew her identity, which included the Duchess.

Maybe Lady Melissa could just greet the Duchess without revealing her own identity, since Lady Melissa assumed the Duchess would be with a flock of people by her aide.

Then again this was Duchess Victoria that she was talking about, one of the most influential women in the capital, so she was at no shortage of gossip.

And since Lady Melissa had attended the tea party held last time, some of the women might've told Duchess Victoria all about Lady Melissa.

So, there was a pretty big chance that Duchess Victoria had already known about what Lady Melissa looked like.

Lady Melissa decided that she'd just greet Duchess Victoria and thank her for inviting her to the ball, without mentioning her identity or who she was.

She decided that she'd only tell Duchess Victoria about her identity if she was asked, if she wasn't asked then she wouldn't mention her identity or anything.

The next day after Duchess Victoria's ball would be the hunting event, and the Shayla estate had already gotten an invite from a few days ago.

Lady Melissa was sure that she'd be invited, after all even the royal family members hadn't seen what she looked like.

Lady Melissa's parents would be attending as well, at least for the first few hours as it was compulsory to attend any events hosted by the royal family, unless it was an emergency.

The King had a reputation to uphold after all, to act understanding and kind while still having a leash on his citizens.

Speaking of Lady Melissa's parents she hadn't been seeing them often these past few days, and when she did they'd usually ignore her.

Without even sparing a glance, maybe it was because they were too filled with ego that they didn't want to apologize, and maybe Lady Melisa was like them, filled with ego and not wanting to apologize until the other did so first.

Least to say, things were going to get interesting in the hunting event, for better or for worse.
