"If person A manages to get Person B to admit their defeat then Person A wins, if Person B however does not want to admit their defeat, Person A can draw some blood from Person B, if any blood has been drawn then the opponent is the winner, however, the cause of the blood must be because of the opponent. Even the slightest amount of blood means the opponent winning, and no cutting open too much of a large wound."
Duchess Ella said, explaining to Lady Melissa regarding the rules while using her sword to hit Lady Melissa's shoulders, as Lady Melissa nodded her head, focusing on Duchess Ella's words while dodging her attacks.
"Alright."
Lady Melissa said as she brought her ten fingers together, making a satisfying crack noise before she moved the bangs on her face, all while still miraculously dodging Duchess Ella's attacks somehow.
Lady Melissa, instead of dodging Duchess Ella's attacks by moving to the left or right, this time moved backwards, though she still moved left or right when she couldn't move backwards.
Admittedly, it was a little tricky for her to both move backwards while she was trying to dodge Duchess Ella's attacks, and Lady Melissa had multiple close calls the first few times she was still adjusting to her new strategy.
Since the bench was behind her, Lady Melissa would be continuously dodging each one of Duchess Ella's attacks until she would be touching the bench, then she would try and get the sword while her body was facing Duchess Ella since she needed to be able to avoid Duchess Ella's hits.
Lady Melissa could try and move her head while trying to get her sword, but that would be riskier since she wouldn't be able to see any of Duchess Ella's moves.
And as much as Lady Melissa wished she was a bat so she could've used echolocation to detect which direction Duchess Ella's moves were coming from, the reality was that she couldn't so whether she liked it or not, for the meantime she would be stuck like this, moving backwards continuously whilst trying to dodge each one of Duchess Ella's attacks.
Lady Melissa hadn't been giving any punches or kicks to Duchess Ella so far, her focus on getting the sword that was on the bench just a few more feet behind her.
Unfortunately, Lady Melissa was closing the distance between her and the bench at an extremely slow rate, only moving a few centimetres every time Duchess Ella would try and use her sword to hit Lady Melissa.
Eventually, Lady Melissa started to get irritated with how slowly she was closing the distance with the bench, deciding on a whim that she'd just go and turn her back for a few seconds to get the sword.
As Lady Melissa saw Duchess Ella's guard dropping for a second, Lady Melissa immediately ran and took her sword that was on the bench as Duchess Ella soon caught up to her, using her sword to hit Lady Melissa's back.
Luckily for Lady Melissa, she had managed to squat the moment the sword had almost hit her back, with the amount of power Duchess Ella had put into that hit, Lady Melissa shuddered at the thought of the amount of blood that would be seeping through her back.
Lady Melissa was pretty sure that her definition of not too much blood and Duchess Ella's was far more different, and instead of it bringing fear into Lady Melissa's body, Lady Melissa was energised.
The reason why Lady Melissa loved duels with Duchess Ella so much was because of the adrenaline rushing through her veins every time she would do so, although she knew that the Duchess wasn't going to kill her.
The thought of being hurt excited Lady Melissa, much more than she would've liked to admit.
Perhaps Lady Melissa was a bit of a masochist as well, although she would never admit it, she enjoyed the pain she received after seeing the Crown Prince and the brunette-haired woman together.
That was why Lady Melissa felt so confused, on one hand, she was sad and jealous, and on the other hand, the pain that was in her heart just felt so good.
"Eyes open soldier."
Duchess Ella said as she had almost hit Lady Melissa, as much as Duchess Ella would love for the duel to end just like that and then, she didn't want to win a duel with the opponent daydreaming, it was practically like fighting someone who didn't have a sword.
Though, she did do that to Lady Melissa at the start of the duel so she couldn't say anything about it.
Lady Melissa was now trying to hit Duchess Ella as well, using her sword and even using her feet to try and get Duchess Ella to fall on the ground, so she'd be able to pin her down and get her to admit defeat.
Unfortunately, though, that didn't look like it was happening anytime soon with the amount of stamina Duchess Ella still had.
Lady Melissa licked her lips, this was going to be fun.
She had more than enough stamina to go and continue to entertain herself with her duel with Duchess Ella, and she was more than happy to be able to duel out her own emotions (if that's even a thing) and get rid of whatever emotions that were left off last night.
Lady Melissa had decided to ignore all the emotions she had for the Crown Prince, but she was only letting out the anger and frustration she had, and the other mixed emotions that had filled her heart from yesterday's incidents.
It wouldn't hurt, right? Besides, Lady Melissa would feel better after a great duel, and the one that had so happened to be there for Lady Melissa to have a duel with was her teacher, so Lady Melissa decided that she'd have one with her teacher, also partially because she had hidden intentions for her teacher, it wouldn't hurt to gain more allies, especially with the amount of power and influence Duchess Ella had.
