"Go and leave now."

Lady Melissa ordered Derreck as he soon followed her orders, leaving Lady Melissa's room and closing the door whilst he left.

"I think you'd like to drink some soothing tea Lady Melissa, you don't look so good."

Justin said, his tone sounding worried, and although Lady Melissa would love nothing more than to drink chamomile tea and fall to sleep for the whole day, or for the whole year, she had a swordsmanship lesson.

Lady Melissa wanted to escape reality, but she had been already doing that for the past few weeks or so, she couldn't waste more time trying to escape from reality; when in fact she should've been confronting her fears.

"Oh please, don't worry about me Justin, your job is just to guard me from dangers from others, not from myself, so get your head out of the gutter, and start actually doing your job."

Lady Melissa harshly said to him as she gave him a bitter smile, enjoying how quickly Justin's face had dropped as he nodded his head.

Lady Melissa almost felt bad; keyword almost.

She didn't though, since she was still feeling the numerous emotions she had yesterday, and this might've not been the best way to cope with things, but it was one of her ways of coping with things.

Lashing out.

"I'm sorry Lady Melissa-"

Justin said, apologizing to Lady Melissa before she had suddenly cut him, her eyes staring so harshly at his figure.

"Did I allow you to speak? No. So don't."

Lady Melissa said, as Justin quickly shut up, not saying anything as he nodded his head once more.

Lady Melissa didn't feel guilty at all; instead, she felt somehow relieved and felt better, perhaps she was a bit sadistic.

Not that she minded it that much though, Lady Melissa was just in a bit of a bad mood.

And, whether it was intentionally or not, she would sometimes lash out.

But she would never lash out like this, in her previous life she would use to 'lash out' by denying to eat food or drink water for a few hours, which was admittedly not that big of a problem since Lady Melissa would eventually give up on lashing out after a few hours since her stomach would be rumbling and her throat would be thirsty.

Lady Melissa's mind couldn't erase the image of Justin's surprised face before he would quickly change it into the first face he had when seeing her.

The face that she would continuously see for the first few days he worked for her.

Recently, she had caught Justin smiling to himself for a few seconds, before he would quickly change his expression.

It would embarrass him a bit, but luckily, Lady Melissa wouldn't tease him for it.

Lady Melissa left the room, as she told Justin to not follow her since she was going to have a swordsmanship lesson, and she was going to use it to her advantage.

She'd been taking out all of the feelings she had when she saw the Crown Prince with the brunette-haired woman yesterday at Duchess Victoria's ball.

Lady Melissa had cried more than enough last night, but it wouldn't hurt for her to take out her feelings more right?

Besides, Lady Melissa knew that Duchess Ella was more than capable to handle Lady Melissa's attacks, she had learnt from the best after all.

Lady Melissa went downstairs, as she opened the doors, being met with Duchess Ella.

Now, Lady Melissa knew better than to be disrespectful to Duchess Ella who could practically know her out in less than a minute if she wanted to.

Duchess Ella wasn't afraid of the authority that Lady Melissa held over her, even though Lady Melissa had more status than her it had never phased her, and it would never phase her.

Lady Melissa had never seen Duchess Ella intimidated or afraid of someone, including the King or any members of the royal family for that matter.

Duchess Ella was a confident woman, one who believed in herself more than anyone else in the room, and one that would never, ever doubt herself.

"Good Morning Duchess Ella, do you mind us doing a duel this session?"

Lady Melissa asked Duchess Ella, who in return furrowed her eyebrows for a few seconds before quickly replying to Lady Melissa.

"Fine, but if you lose then next lesson you're going to have to do twice as many laps across the estate than you usually do."

Duchess Ella said as Lady Melissa would do three laps around the Shayla estate every morning, or evening if she didn't have time in the morning, and before they started their lessons she would usually do a few laps as well.

During her lessons with Duchess Ella, Lady Melissa would usually do five laps around the Shayla estate, and her body had adapted to how much Lady Melissa would run- and walk in the day for that matter.

Lady Melissa used to spend most of her time in the house, hence she had never really spent much time walking or running, so her stamina was extremely low.

It was surprising honestly, how much Lady Melissa's stamina had changed ever since she took swordsmanship lessons, and she was proud of it.

"Alright, but if I win, then you'll grant me a favour?"

Lady Melissa asked the Duchess, her eyes filled with curiosity on whatever Lady Melissa would ask her a favour for.

"Fine, but don't get too cocky, I'm not letting you win against me."

Duchess Ella said as she picked up the sword she had been hiding behind her back, immediately charging to Lady Melissa who had been caught off guard by the entire thing.

Lady Melissa however skillfully dodged Duchess Ella's sword multiple times, though because of the fact that the Duchess had charged onto her and she was caught off-guard, she wasn't able to take her sword that was on the bench.

"Rules?"

Lady Melissa asked, wondering whether there were any rules to the duel or whether she could duel with her teacher however she wanted.
