Chapter 184 - 184

Lady Melissa did wonder though whether there was something between Justin and Sophia.

The other day she had seen how the both of them were staring at each other before she rudely interrupted them.

Lady Melissa knew that the both of them could deny all they want, that there was nothing going on between the two of them, but she knew better.

Friends didn't look at each other like that, Lady Melissa would know from her previous relationships, including the one with Baron Kevin.

Lady Melissa wondered if he had shared romantic feelings for her as well, maybe that was why he was so against her relationship with the Crown prince, but she shook her head, there was no way he shared the same feelings she did with him, or else she would've known.

Luckily, she hadn't caught them doing something other than staring at each other, though even as clueless and dense as she was when it came to romantic relationships, she knew romantic tension when she saw it.

Especially with how Justin and Sophia were fiercely looking at each other before they had noticed she was there.

A few seconds were enough for Lady Melissa to spot that there was something more between the two of them.

Lady Melisssa, although she highly doubted that they were just really close friends and had nothing going on between them, gave them the benefit of the doubt, she shouldn't judge a relationship that wasn't her business, after all, she knew better than to do that.

Considering the number of times she had been judged by numerous people for even appearing near the Crown Prince in her previous life, even when he had been doing horrible acts to her playing the victim, in front of the public.

Gossip headlines would be filled with Lady Melissa being a crazy stalker, and that the Crown Prince was 'protecting' himself from her so he could be safe, or save the damsel in distress.

It was either that Justin and Sophia were really good friends, or that both of them had something for each other.

Lady Melissa would be delighted if the both of them dated each other, though she'd prefer if they do that after they spent more time with each other and learned each other's hobbies, and personalities more.

Speaking of personalities, Justin and Sophia were polar opposites of each other.

Justin was cold, but sweet and pretended that he didn't care, keeping people at arm's distance (as even Lady Melissa had noticed).

While Sophia was bright, and cheerful, most of the time energetic, though sometimes she would be calm and composed when she wanted to, or when things needed her to be calm and composed.

Lady Melissa could see how the both of them would fit each other, it was like hot and cold, they were both polar opposites of each other.

They were like Jekyll and Hyde, having amazingly different personalities from each other.

Lady Melissa realized that she might've been the unintentional cupid of them all this time.

After all, she had gone out a numerous number of times and the both of them would usually tag along with her, only on the exception that they'd use a different carriage than her.

A carriage that would only be filled with each other, and so they had more than enough time to get to know each other.

Perhaps by this time, Sophia would know more about Justin than Lady Melissa did, although Lady Melisa knew about Justin's background and other things, she was sure that there were numerous hidden stories Justin had that he told to Sophia that he didn't tell her.

Lady Melissa would be happy for them if they got together, as long as it didn't affect their work, she'd be a little sad to see both of her favourite employees working directly under her to go.

As much as Lady Melissa would love to play cupid, she didn't have the time to do so with the fact that she had already met the Crown Prince.

She wasn't supposed to meet him until the next three months, and even then she hadn't been standing so close to the Crown Prince as she had been in Duchess Victoria's party.

So, it was a surprise to her when he had just suddenly appeared at Duchess Victoria's party and stood so close to her, not even sparing her a single glance.

Lady Melissa was thankful though, that he didn't spare a single glance at her, who knew how her heart would react if he did.

Lady Melissa knew she was absolutely pathetic with how she acted and she had despised herself for it, that was why she made a vow to herself, yesterday, after crying that she'd ignore all of her feelings regarding the Crown Prince.

Lady Melissa heard a knock on the door, as she quickly answered whoever happened to be knocking on the door.

"Come in!"

Lady Melissa shouted as the person on the other side opened the door.

"Good Morning Lady Melissa, I know you have a swordsmanship lesson in ten minutes or so, so I'll make this quick."

Derreck said as he talked to Lady Melissa.

"What is it?"

Lady Melissa asked, wondering what Derreck had to talk to her about.

"The bodyguards that you've asked me to find, I'm having problems with the brothers, Noel and Nathan. Is it possible for you to give me more time?"

Derreck asked as he hoped that his master would be so generous to give him more time.

"You have more than enough power to find both of them before Monday, plus you have three days before Monday comes, best you make use of it, or you can bid your farewells to this month's paycheck."

Lady Melissa said, as Derreck immediately nodded his head, gulping at the thought of not receiving his paycheck this month, he hoped that Lady Melissa was joking, but by the serious look on her face, he knew she wasn't joking at all.
