By the end of the lesson, Lady Melissa had gained much more information about Duchess Ella then she had ever known in heer past life.
Though it wasn't a surprise considering the fact that Duchess Ella was a reserved Lady, a Lady who liked to keep things to herself most of the time, rather than discuss it with others.
Yet at the same time, Duchess Ella was the perfect mix of cheeky and irritating, being able to boil up Lady Melissa's anger to push her to do more every time the both of them would have a duel together, including today's.
Though it didn't have much of an effect on Lady Melissa since her blood was already boiling before the both of them had even started the duel, Lady Melissa didn't feel anything with what Duchess Ella had said to her.
Lady Melissa had certainly gotten closer to Duchess Ella today, and maybe she had even scored a few brownie points, with the amount of chattering she and the Duchess had.
Lady Melissa just hoped that the Duchess felt the same way, since she was sure that the Duchess was going to be a very essential and important pawn for her later on, but for now this was enough.
The Duchess owed her a favour, and she was slowly getting closer and closer with the Duchess, she'd use her later on.
Lady Melissa felt normal for the hunting event, she didn't particularly feel disappointed or happy, but she just felt alright.
Maybe it was because of last night's events that had caused her to feel so numb, or maybe it was because of Lady Melissa trying to shut off her emotions, focusing on her plan on taking down the Crown Prince, which she was supposed to be doing this entire time.
Lady Melissa had three more hours or so before she would be making her way to the hunting event, the time taken for her to reach there would take two to three hours, so Lady Melissa had to leave earlier than usual.
So, here Lady Melissa was spending the three hours she had remaining with Sophia and a bunch of other maids who were helping her put on her beautiful dress.
It was a custom made one that the owner of the Hermione boutique, her friend had made for her, knowing how stunning Lady Melissa would look in it, Lady Melissa originally wanted to refuse, but after she saw the dress she immediately changed her mind.
It was a simple elegant dress, with the colour white, and it was perfect too, it was comfortable, which was surprising because of how uncomfortable the dress looked, something that was surprising as well was how the dress wasn't hot at all, instead it was breezy and comfortable for her.
To put it simply, it was everything in a dress that Lady Melissa loved; everything she ever wanted- at least in her past life.
Lady Melissa had one maid doing her hair, the other doing her toenails, painting them in a certain colour, while another maid was painting her fingernails, making sure not to accidentally paint Lady Melissa's fingers in the process, knowing that she might get fired if she did so.
Sophia was currently just looking at the maids, making sure that they were all doing their job properly as she stepped in when she had to.
Out of all the maids that were in Lady Melissa's room, Sophia had the highest position of them all, though that was a given since she was Lady Melissa's personal maid.
Lady Melissa did wonder whether Duchess Ella would appear later on, although she had appeared in her past life, there was no telling where she'd prepare this time either.
Lady Melissa was a bit concerned regarding the King's assassination, would it happen again? Would things be different this time? Or would the attempted assassination go the same way as how it did last time? What if the King didn't make it this time?
Lady Melissa thought she had numerous questions filling her head, which was why she had prepared some materials and potions beforehand. A few weeks before the hunting event, she had a gut feeling that she'd need the potions and other items beforehand.
She had even learnt a number of spells just for this, just in case something went wrong, and considering what had happened yesterday, Lady Melissa was sure that some things would be different from last year.
Lady Melissa wondered whether perhaps the Crown Prince would show up with the brunette-haired woman together, just like yesterday.
Lady Melissa had to sit at the same table as the royal family, with her parents as well since they were all a part of the five founding families.
At least Lady Melissa would be able to sit near Duke Alphonso and deliver her message to him.
Lady Melissa made a mental note to herself to eat some food before she set off though, knowing that the assassination attempt would happen right when the King had told everybody to feast, and it caught everybody offguard.
Lady Melissa knew that the assassination attempt would be done by a sniper, somewhere from the trees.
Lady Melissa was genuinely curious what would happen next if she tampered with the assassination attempt, but she knew better than to let curiosity get the best of her.
After all, there was even a saying for it.
'Curiosity killed the cat.'
Lady Melissa knew that if she meddled more than she had already done so, there was going to be a numerous number of events that weren't going to happen anymore, and a number of events that didn't happen in her previous life that would happen.
It was the butterfly effect, even the smallest actions someone did could have the biggest impact on everybody.
Lady Melissa spent the rest of the time as the maids helped her get ready by thinking about the hunting event.
She was excited for the events that were going to happen in the hunting event, and everybody's shocked and surprised reactions,as Lady Melissa licked her lips, not being able to wait for the hunting event.
