Everybody had tables that had five to six seats, with five to six people on a table, but since Lady Melissa was a member of one of the founding families- she had the honour to sit with the royal family as well as the other founding families.

A pleasure that Lady Melissa wasn't excited about, though she was excited to have a front-row seat to see the King's reaction to the assassination attempt, wanting to see his surprised reaction.

Lady Melissa didn't hate the King that much, though it'd be a lie for her to say that she didn't hold some kind of resentment for what he had done to his children- making them fight as if it was all some sort of competition.

The way he treated them was the same way he'd treat his children.

Lady Melissa did wonder though if the seating arrangements would still be the same if the Crown Prince brought the brunette-haired woman to sit with him on the table with the other founding families.

Lady Melissa secretly hoped that the assassination attempt wasn't called off, she was more than interested to see everyone's surprised faces, while she herself made a surprised and scared face.

Lady Melissa did wonder whatever would happen though with Justin with her this time.

Would he run and try to carry her and protect her the moment he heard the gunshot? Or would he be protecting Sophia?

If Justin protected Sophia, Lady Melissa would have absolutely no hesitance in firing him on the spot, he was her guard, and he needed to set aside his personal feelings.

Lady Melissa was becoming a little bit cruel these days, but she liked herself better this way, she'd gladly be the big bad wolf of the story if that meant she could finally get her revenge.

She'd be more than delighted to do anything she needed to take out her revenge on the Crown Prince.

Lady Melissa smiled, a wicked smile on her lips, as she looked at herself through her mirror, although she was dressed as an angel she believed herself to be the opposite.

She believed herself to be a demon or at the very least the living carnation of Lucifer, the fallen angel.

"Do you like it, Lady Melissa?"

A maid said, as Lady Melissa quickly replaced the wicked smile she had on her lips, changing it to a fake one so she didn't scare the maid.

"I love it, I can't wait to show this to everyone!"

Lady Melissa cheerfully said, pretending that she was ecstatic and excited to show how she looked like to everyone in the hunting event.

"I have no doubt that you'll look the prettiest out of everyone there, Lady Melissa."

Sophia suddenly said as she placed a hair accessory on Lady Melissa's hair.

Lady Melissa had almost let out a scoff when hearing Sophia's words, partially surprised that she had been complimenting her after what she had done to Justin.

Lady Melissa thought that the reason for Sophia's quietness this whole time had been because of what she had done to Justin, and it probably was.

"I'm flattered, but there are far more attractive women than me."

Lady Melissa said as she placed her arm on her chest, acting shy and flattered when in reality she knew that she was already the most beautiful out of the bunch.

"Don't say that Lady Melissa, you're the most attractive mistress that I've served!"

Another maid said as she complimented Lady Melissa.

Lady Melissa let out a laugh in return, not saying anything.

Lady Melissa's maids had finally finished preparing her for the hunting event- and Lady Melissa let out a smile seeing herself in the mirror.

She still couldn't get used to how beautiful she was- and how much she had grown from the insecure shy little girl she was to the proud and confident woman she now was.

Lady Melissa felt as if she was just so ethereal, though she'd prefer if she was dressed in black much more, or perhaps red would be the more suitable colour.

Or a mix of black and red, the dress being black and the red part is the Crown Prince's blood after she would murder him, as his blood would stain her dress.

Lady Melissa thought, as the smile on her face would slowly grow bigger and bigger before she changed her expression.

Lady Melissa finished some paperwork for a few minutes before she checked the clock on the wall, deciding that it was time for her to finally get in the carriage and prepare for the journey to the hunting event.

Lady Melissa made sure to bring down the invitation with her, down the stairs as she entered the carriage, knowing that she wouldn't be allowed inside without it.

Justin and Sophia entered as well, both of them having grim expressions on their faces as they entered the carriage behind Lady Melissa.

Lady Melissa secretly let out a smile, wondering just how things would be going with Justin and Sophia

The next two hours spent on the trip to reach the hunting event was hell for Lady Melissa, because she had nothing to do, and no one she could talk to.

Lady Melissa could've always asked Sophia to sit with her, but she wanted Sophia to know her place; which was below Lady Melissa.

And besides, she'd be more entertained with seeing Justin and Sophia's relationship, wondering whether the both of them would be taking a few steps forward into their relationship, or a few steps backwards, either way, Lady Melissa would have a fun time meddling with their relationship.

Lady Melissa's actions were certainly playing a part in their relationship, and Lady Melissa felt powerful, her words being able to control them somehow.

Lady Melissa liked power, and she loved the amount of power and status she held over others simply because she was the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of the Shayla estate, and because she was a member of one of the founding families.
