"You want to my friend too, right Lady Melissa?"
Victoria said ignoring Lady Melissa's sarcastic reply as there was a hopeful glint in her eyes as Lady Melissa wondered what to answer her, she knew if she were to say no then her life would end almost immediately.
Lady Melissa didn't want Victoria to do whatever sick or impure thoughts she had to her, seeing the things Victoria could do, Lady Melissa knew she was more dangerous than she looked.
Lady Melissa should've listened to her gut when it told her to be more aware of herself.
"I stole the letter you know?"
Victoria said as she stared at Lady Melissa, wearing a smirk as Lady Melissa could feel shivers going to her bone from Victoria's cold expression.
It was a different one compared to the smile that Victoria would usually show her.
Lady Melissa finally realized what Victoria was talking about- the letter that Lady Melissa was investigating a few weeks ago before she convinced herself to drop it because of Camilia.
She thought that Camilia was more important than a problem regarding letters- and so Lady Melissa had forgotten about it, until right now.
"I stole the letters you sent! I wanted to see how it would feel if you wrote me a letter, you know?"
Victoria said as Lady Melissa felt as if she was frozen in place. Were all the other incidents because of her then? Was the fact that she almost drowned and died because of her?
"Now I can know though!"
Victoria said, as Lady Melissa gulped, Victoria's intense stares at her as Lady Melissa was ready to give out her reply, she just hoped that she'd be able to do it in time.
"You'd definitely make an amazing friend though, just not my friend."
Although Lady Melissa knew the risks she'd be facing if she told her the truth, she decided to do it anyway. Why?
Because she didn't want to lie to her about something as important as feelings for a person even when the person she was lying to was obsessed with her.
She didn't want to mislead Victoria by lying to her, if she did so then maybe Victoria would force her to run away with her.
Lady Melissa said as she put on a smile in hopes that Victoria would lunge at her.
"It's him right? Duke Mason. He's stealing you away from me."
Victoria blankly said as Lady Melissa was ready to deny it- she could see the intention to kill in Victoria's eyes.
"I don't like him, I just don't have any time for a relationship right now."
Lady Melissa said, as she gulped, and although she didn't show it she was nervous, and her head was dizzy.
She hoped that she had said the right answer, for the sake that she would live, hopefully.
"LIES! LIES! LIES!"
Victoria said as she chanted it out loud, luckily, Lady Melissa had made sure to make the room soundproof when she entered, though she didn't know that things would be like this.
"If… if I can't have you… then no one can!"
Victoria said as she lunged at Lady Melissa, a knife in her right hand as Lady Melissa quickly grabbed the dagger that was on her right thigh, managing to dodge Victoria whilst she had just successfully taken the dagger.
As much as Lady Melissa was scared of this whole incident, she was amused by it as well, deep deep inside her heart she was ecstatic.
Almost as if she had been waiting for someone to lunge at her with a knife in their arms, Lady Melissa liked the adrenaline that was rushing through her veins.
The feeling of there being a chance that she was going to die- right here and right now was enough to get her going.
Lady Melissa smiled at Victoria, a genuine smile filled with amusement, this was going to be fun, Lady Melissa thought.
"Come at me with all you got, Victoria."
Lady Melissa said, as Victoria's heart skipped a beat or two., she loved whenever Lady Melissa would use her name, it made her feel giddy inside.
Victoria didn't hesitate to agree to Lady Melissa's orders though, since her crush wanted it so badly, who was she to deny so?
"Let's dance."
Lady Melissa said, as cliche as it sounded as the both of them fought and fought, Victoria with her knife and Lady Melissa with her dagger.
Even though Duchess Ella wasn't present right now, Lady Melissa was more than thankful she had agreed to Lady Melissa's request of teaching her.
She was sure that if the Duchess had denied, Lady Melissa would've already been dead by now in the hands of an obsessed stalker( stalker because she knows about Lady Melissa and Duke Mason's relationship when she never talked about him to her and when Victoria only saw him once).
Eventually, though, Lady Melissa was currently winning against Victoria as she had managed to pin the girl down, the dagger in her hands and the knife was currently out of Victoria's reach.
Meaning that Lady Melissa had the upper hand, at least for now she did, and hopefully for the future as well.
Just as Lady Melissa was about to stab Victoria with her dagger because of how much she had kept moving, Justin had come in through the window since Lady Melissa had locked the door to prevent anyone from coming inside.
"Guess who showed up."
Lady Melissa sarcastically replied as Victoria took the dagger from Lady Melissa's hands flipping her over as their positions switched.
Victoria was now on top of Lady Melissa, pinning her down with a dagger in her right hand.
'Are you kidding me?'
Lady Melissa thought as she regretted her decision of greeting Justin because if she hadn't done that then Victoria wouldn't have the dagger in her hand.
Luckily though Justin had managed to kick Victoria off of Lady Melissa with his feet and Lady Melissa quickly got up, not wanting to be pinned down by her crazy stalker once more.
