Lady Melissa soon made her way inside the carriage, the door being held open by one of the servants, whilst the others were greeting her goodbye, bowing their heads down as they waited for her carriage to start moving so they could finally raise their heads and get back to whatever they were doing.
Lady Melissa let out a sigh of relief, unfortunately, this dress wasn't as comfortable as the other few dresses that she had previously worn in this life.
The dress was elegant and fancy, and if Lady Melissa was being truthful she did love the dress' design, but simply because of how uncomfortable it was she wouldn't buy it.
The whole dress was uncomfortable, and it felt as if she was wearing a corset on top of a corset, in addition to that, she had of course needed to wear a bra, meaning that all her access to oxygen was practically lost.
Lady Melisssa's body was stiff from the dress, and she could only move and do a certain few things or else it'd hurt some of her body parts.
Luckily, the things that she could do were enough to get her through the day, at least she hoped so, she didn't want to hurt any of her arms or twist her legs by any chance.
Lady Melissa was sitting alone in her carriage as Sophia and Nathan shared one together.
Originally, Sophia had detested the idea, but after a scolding from one of the employees who was also Sophia's friend, Sophia had been convinced (forced) to ride with Justin, though admittedly she did enjoy it, or was enjoying it.
Lady Melissa observed the outside surroundings, she could hear the bustling streets and the smell of street food from inside the carriage.
It had been quite a while since she had ever eaten any kind of street food, as Lady Melissa tried to remember the last time she had even eaten it, as she started to think back of the old memories.
It was when she had seen Jack the Ripper murder somebody and stab them with a knife, after that, she had never eaten any kind of street food since the image of Jack The Ripper stabbing the woman multiple times to death would haunt her memories and nightmares- at least for the next few weeks.
Speaking of Jack The Ripper, the alleyway here had looked pretty similar to the one where she had first seen Jack The Ripper brutally stabbed the woman to death, though if she was being fair, the alleyway where she had seen that graphic image was practically similar to almost every other alleyway, not a distinguishable or noticeable feature about it, other than the fact that it was where Jack The Ripper had stabbed a woman- prostitute, to death numerous times.
Fortunately, though, Lady Melissa had stopped having nightmares about Jack The Ripper a long time ago- after she had dealt with him- or more specifically, after Duke Mason had helped deal with him.
Lady Melissa brushed away her thoughts- it was the first time she had ever killed someone, though at least she killed a 'bad' person and not a good one though she did want to prevent bloodshed from ever happening again if that was possible.
Lady Melissa wasn't the biggest fan of blood or the colour red for that matter- but ironically her hair was coloured red, perhaps the reason why she had hated it was because of the amount of bloodshed that the Crown Prince had managed to put Lady Melissa's loved ones through.
Lady Melissa still wasn't a fan of it now- though she wouldn't hesitate to get some blood on her hands if that meant that the Crown Prince would be permanently gone- or if she needed to get some blood on her hands, besides the main thing she cared about was the Crown Prince to die.
Lady Melissa was interrupted from her train of thoughts and the carriage came to a halt, looking out through the carriage window as she stared at the big royal palace, she had forgotten how big it was.
Of course she had gone to the royal palace multiple times- most of them being unannounced visits and to visit the Crown Prince, because of this she was called crazy by a numerous number of noblewomen.
Lady Melissa was at awe with how beautiful and surreal the royal palace looked- and just how big it was, when she had visited the Crown Prince multiple times, she had never even spared a few seconds to watch and admire the scenery in front of her.
Lady Melissa was regretting not doing that- even though the Shayla estate was big, the royal palace was five times as big as the Shayla estate- or even ten times bigger than it.
Lady Melissa had completely forgotten about the royal palace that she had visited so many times just to see the Crown Prince, she was so infatuated with him that she had just never looked up and saw her surroundings, the design was just beautiful, though that was expected considering that this was for the royal family.
Lady Melissa slowly walked outside of her carriage, slowly observing the surroundings in front of her as she was greeted by numerous maids and servants.
Lady Melissa's parents were on another carriage, as the servant offered to guide Lady Melissa inside to the royal palace, to where the King was since it was her 'first time' here at least they assumed so- though it was technically true, it was Lady Melissa's first time in the royal palace- at least in this life.
Lady Melissa looked behind her for a few seconds- wondering if her parents would be mad if she said yes to the servant's offer, before deciding that she'd go with it, it wasn't her fault that her parents hadn't arrived at the royal palace yet- and besides, she could always make up an excuse, as long as she could make them mad- that was enough of a reason to convince her to take up the servant's offer to guide her.
