Lady Melissa heard a knock on the door, interrupting her train of thoughts regarding the love triangle between Sophia, Justin and Nathan.
"Come in."
Lady Melissa softly said as Justin came in, following her instructions.
"Good Afternoon Lady Melissa, you called for me?"
Justin said as he greeted Lady Melissa, wondering what reason he had called for Lady Melissa.
Sophia hadn't told him the reason why she had called for him, though she did look pretty excited when doing so.
"Yes, I did."
Lady Melissa calmly said as she took a sip of her tea before elaborating on why she had called for him.
"I'm going to the royal palace later, and I want you to accompany me, Sophia will be going as well."
Lady Melissa blankly stated, as she could slowly see the tips of Justin's lips twitching, although it didn't look like a smile or much of it anyways.
"Alright, what time is it? And I assume I'll be guarding you against then on till the end of the day?"
Justin asked, as Lady Melissa nodded her head before she answered his first question, taking another sip of her tea before doing so.
"It'll be at five P.M. later, so two hours from now on, and you will be guarding me till the end of the day."
Lady Melissa stated as Justin nodded his head in response.
Lady Melissa had obviously trusted Justin the most out of all of her bodyguards, she had been with him for the longest out of all of them, and she had learnt a lot about his personality compared to all of her other bodyguards.
Most of them were quiet- though Justin was too at least when he first started working for her.
Lady Melissa was sure that it'd take her weeks or even months for her other bodyguards to start opening up to her, as most of them were quieter than Justin, not like she minded that much though, she had hired them to protect her, not to be her friend.
Besides, Lady Melissa already had a long list of people who wanted to be friends with her.
"Alright, unless you have anything to say to me or ask me, you can go now."
Lady Melissa coldly said as Justin nodded his head, bowing his head down as he left her room soon after.
Lady Melissa could feel Nathan's stares at Justin the entire time, and she was sure that Justin could feel it as well.
There was no doubt that out of all of her bodyguards, Justin was the strongest one, he had the skills, the experience, and the muscles to prove it.
"What?"
Lady Melissa asked Nathan, as she averted her gaze from her door to him, her tone sounding annoyed and irritated- which she was currently feeling.
"Nothing."
Nathan said, mumbling to Lady Melissa.
"Speak up, I can't hear you."
Lady Melissa said as Nathan repeated his words from earlier, this time louder.
"If you say so."
Lady Melissa playfully said, before she went back to minding her own business, she couldn't believe the fact that she had spent four hours of her day getting ready to the royal palace.
If she had spent four hours just because her mom told the maids that she was going to go to a grand ball or party, then she couldn't imagine the horror if her mother had told the maids that she was going to the royal palace, there was no doubt that all hell would break loose, and Lady Melissa would be the very first victim of the hell.
Lady Melissa did have an amusing time with the maids helping her get ready, as she could hear them gossiping, and talking to each other when she was trying to fall asleep- they had thought that she had fallen asleep, hence the gossip.
Sophia had tried to stop them numerous times- but the maids refused to do so each and every time.
Lady Melissa was a little irritated by the fact that the maids had disrespected their superior's orders, but at the very same time, she was also thankful for it, since this wouldn't be possible if the maids had listened to Sophia's orders and hadn't gossiped at all.
So, that was one thing to be grateful for, at least for today.
Lady Melissa didn't get any sort of noble gossip, she got gossip regarding her chef and some of the employees, though it was amusing.
Lady Melissa had to stop herself from laughing when they were gossiping to each other several times.
Most of the gossip was speculations about whether a maid was dating one of the Shayla estate's knights, and Lady Melissa was already sure that there were a few who were already dating the Knights, or if one of the other maids had done something scandalous- perhaps having a secret lover or so, though it didn't sound that scandalous to have a secret lover- at least to Lady Melissa.
Lady Melissa might've been clueless by a number of things, but she was the master of the Shayla estate- or at least one of the three masters of the Shyala estate, she had heard most of the gossip herself, and had already known which one was true or not.
Forty five minutes had soon passed as the sun was starting to slowly go down for some reason, though it would usually go down at six or seven P.M, and it was currently four forty-five P.M. right now, not like it cared that much to Lady Melissa though.
Lady Melissa slowly went down the stairs, making sure not to accidentally step on the hem of her dress, or the edge of the stairs, in fear of tripping and falling over the long flight of stairs, as one of the maids helped Lady Melissa, carrying the back of her dress to prevent her from falling- though she could always accidentally fall if she had stepped on the front hem of her dress, though the maid couldn't carry that since it would be hard for Lady Melissa to walk, especially with somebody in front of her.
