Lady Melissa's swordsmanship lessons with Duchess Ella had now been inside one of the many empty rooms that the Shayla estate just had, though Lady Melissa hadn't had any lessons with Duchess Ella yet after the new adjustment.
Lady Melissa would just have to wait and see tomorrow since she'd be having her next swordsmanship lesson with Duchess Ella tomorrow, for the meantime she would try to figure out a way how to sneak out for future uses of course.
Lady Melissa since she had been grounded from going outside, wasn't able to find out about the news- and whether the news had spread that she, along with Duke Gaston was now back, and if there were any rumours between the two of them( which Lady Melissa was very sure that there were).
Hence, Lady Melissa had asked Sophia to go to the capital for her and to buy some newspaper regarding any topics that included her, or Duke Gaston and had given Sophia more money than needed.
The thing with the bodyguards from her father was that they were very observant- perhaps even more observant than Lady Melissa's own personal bodyguards, though her own personal bodyguards were much more skilful and experienced compared to her father's.
In addition to that, Lady Melissa had noticed how the bodyguards from her father were just silent, though it seemed like they respected Lady Melissa- or maybe that was because that was practically their boss' daughter.
Lady Melissa knew that the bodyguards from her father would obviously report anything if they saw Lady Melissa trying to hide what she got from Sophia- which was why she had lent the girl the unlimited pouch.
The pouch was much smaller and light-weight, not only that but it could fit pockets because of its small size, which meant that it would be much easier for Sophia to hand it over to Lady Melissa later on.
Lady Melissa hadn't asked Sophia to hand the newspaper to her immediately- since now, there were two pairs of eyes that were watching her every move (Lady Melissa's own personal bodyguards not being counted).
Lady Melissa was currently distracting herself with piles and piles of paperwork- though she was technically waiting for Sophia, just that she still wouldn't be able to get the newspaper immediately even after Sophia had arrived.
Least to say, Lady Melissa was more than bored, she wasn't even sure how many times she had been drinking tea today- whatever the answer was, she at least knew that it was a lot, and it hadn't even been twelve yet.
Lady Melissa let out a yawn, stretching out her arms in the process, she had luckily not gotten any dreams ever since Lady Camilia- and had ordered her guards regarding the warehouse in which she along with Duke Gaston had been temporarily trapped in a few hours earlier before her bodyguards had found them.
Much to Lady Melissa's dismay, her bodyguards had found practically nothing- other than of course, Victoria's dead body, which this time she had made sure was actually dead and couldn't be brought back to the living.
It was almost as if the place had been deserted this entire time- it was actually quite scary how the place was so…eerie in a way considering that so many people were able to disappear within just a few hours.
Even with the increased security and such from Lady Melissa's parents, it did nothing to calm Lady Melissa's nerves, she wasn't dumb, she knew that Lady Camilia was already planning her next move right now.
What Lady Melissa needed to do now was to figure out a strategy- to plan ahead of Lady Camilia, and Lady Melissa had done exactly that in the past few hours, she had been thinking of a strategy.
Lady Melissa needed to end Lady Camilia, once and for all, after all, she couldn't just let the Lady run free over and over until one of them eventually ended up dead, could she? Plus, who knew the number of tricks that Lady Camilia had up her sleeve.
In addition to that, if Lady Melissa let the rivalry between her and Lady Camilia continue then there was no doubt that the people around her were going to be severely affected by it- heck Duke Gaston was proof of it, even though he had practically done it willingly.
Lady Melissa didn't want to injure the people who were beside her- who stood amongst her, and who were most importantly of all, her people. The ones who would gladly take a bullet for her and risk their lives for her.
Hence why Lady Melissa had been thinking of a strategy to end Lady Camilia, though it would be hard for her to try and make the plan successful if she was grounded when she was trying to end Lady Camilia's life.
First of all, she wouldn't be able to prepare everything and double-check everything, and there could be someone who would try to sabotage Lady Melissa's plan in the process, and since Lady Melissa was an overthinker she practically needed to double-check everything so that her plan was perfection itself.
Second of all, how was she to gather resources? She then decided that she could always ask her bodyguards to do so.
Lady Melissa needed to make a lot of preparations, and perhaps even pull in a few of her connections to make the plan a success, but it would practically be near impossible for her plan to be a success if she couldn't even be at the venue where Lady Camilia's life would be ended.
Plus, Lady Melissa wanted to be the one who personally ended Lady Camilia's life once and for all not somebody else, she couldn't allow that at all.
Perhaps it was because of her pettiness- or because of how much Lady Camilia had made her life a living nightmare, but Lady Melissa was more than determined to be the one who ended her life.
