Lady Melissa hadn't contacted any of the three men that were supposed to help her with her rebellion, though she was sure that they knew of the reason why she couldn't go out, at least they were smart enough to figure it out or find out on their own.
Lady Melissa could've sworn multiple times that she felt a pair of eyes staring at her during this whole period of her getting grounded, and she was sure that those very same pair of eyes belonged to at least one of the three men- since they had a habit of entering through the window.
Lady Melissa hadn't gotten any visitors either, since, apparently, her grounding also meant that she wasn't allowed to invite anyone into the Shayla estate, yet her parents were allowed to, so instead, she did what every other person would do when they were blocked to all forms of socialization.
Lady Melissa didn't just read any kind of books though- she had specifically read about the ones regarding alchemy and magic, finding herself being fascinated by those books, other than that, she did something else as well.
She buried herself in deep mountains of paperwork- paperwork that she was sure her parents didn't do at all, because of the fact that she had tried to bring up an issue multiple times about the paperwork, her parents wouldn't know or understand what she was trying to talk about to them.
It was a wonder for her how her parents were able to do their paperwork and manage their time so successfully in the past, yet how they weren't able to do the same thing again now, although she had volunteered to do some work to take a bit of their burden off of their backs, this wasn't what she had meant.
Lady Melissa had never signed up to do their work as the head of the family, even though technically she was supposed to be the next in line after her father passed away, after deciding that it would be beneficial to her if she were to be the head of the family.
She would finally have full ownership of the Shayla estate's resources and such, as well as the connections that her father previously had- connections that would certainly help her in the future.
Lady Melissa had plenty of time before her parents passed away, heck she didn't even know how they were going to pass away, but she assumed that it was somewhere within the year, somewhere before she met the Crown Prince, maybe a month or two before her deadline where she would be ending the Crown Prince's life once and for all.
Lady Melissa didn't exactly know either why or how her parents passed away since things weren't going exactly the same as how it had been in her past life- hence she wouldn't be able to exactly know how either of them was going to pass away.
Lady Melissa had crossed out the chances of her parents dying by fire since she thought that there was a slim possibility for her parents to die of fire the second time around, especially when things had been going on quite differently.
Lady Melissa still reminded herself of the deadline that she had to take down the Crown Prince, afraid that she would meet her doom if she didn't wipe off his face before the deadline- after all, who knew what could happen next?
Lady Melissa was undoubtedly nervous for the future- what was going to happen after she had successfully wiped off the Crown Prince's face off of the earth? Though it wouldn't matter that much to her.
After all, Lady Melissa's main goal was just to wipe off the Crown Prince's face off of the earth- that was the most important thing to her, she'd think on what she'd do later on after she had wiped his face off of earth on what to do or pursue a career, but for now, she had her hands full with everything that was going on.
These past 27 days, of Lady Melissa not being outside had quite the effect on Lady Melissa, though it wasn't that evident based on how she would act nor present herself, perhaps it was because she was already used to faking her emotions and feelings that hiding them wasn't much of a problem anymore- though they were never a problem.
Lady Melissa would have had never expected that the security in the Shayla estate would be that tight- she had known that the security had obviously been tightened, but this was practically twenty times tighter than the first time around, which of course caused numerous problems for Lady Melissa.
The main one of course was the fact that it wouldn't be so easy for her to sneak out of the Shayla estate anymore.
Lady Melissa had practically interacted with nobody face to face- other than her teachers, her parents and the Shayla estate's employees, though none of them could help her with her crave for social interaction.
Lady Melissa wasn't the most social person, yet she seemingly loved all the attention on her, maybe that was the reason why she felt like this- craving for social interaction, and craving to meet other people other than the ones she saw on a daily basis.
Or maybe the reason why Lady Melissa wanted to finally have a social life once more was that she was bored with everything, though it was hard to not be bored when she was stuck with the same people in the Shayla estate.
Lady Melissa obviously wouldn't talk to any of the Shayla estate's employees unless she needed them to do something, and her conversations with her teachers could only last her so much amusement.
Lady Melissa hadn't even shared a conversation with either of her parents during these past 27 days, the both of them seem too 'busy' to spare even 5 minutes of their day to just talk to their one and only daughter.
