Chapter 122 - Selfish

Sara looked at her mother. It was the first time that she slapped her like that. She slapped her but not like that. For the first time she said she was unfilial and she will disown her. But she has no time to think about it. She ran outside to her car and left. 

Everyone there started to gossip about what was going on there. Michael stood in his place. She just left him for her work and what he thought. She was so selfish she can't even think about others feelings. Her mother was also disheartened from her. She was always proud of her but today she made her head tilt in shame. If she doesn't care about them then she will also not care about her. She announced that the party is cancelled for some reason. 

The guest started to leave after hearing it. It was only Michael and her family and Rayn who was there to pick on Michael. 

Rayn laughed and went close to Michael and asked if he really thought that Sara would fall in love with him. He was nothing. 

Hearing Michael 's mood which was already bad, it worsened more. He punched him on his face hard enough to make him blood. He pulled him by his collar and asked him who he was talking to. He was nothing in front of him, a man who can't even protect the mother of his children dares to say something like that. 

Rayn was shocked hearing that he didn't know Michael knows about him and Quinn. He removed his hand away forcefully and asked who was he to say that? Even though he can't protect himself, he has his ways to keep her side but what about him, his wife just shouted at him in front of everyone and left him alone. He can't even control his wife. How can he call himself perfect for her? 

Her mother stopped them fighting and asked Rayn to go. Rayn left the place regretting that he can't beat Michael before going. 

Sara went to the same pebble beach she went to yesterday. It was already late when she reached there. She got out of the car and went to the tree located on the cliff. 

"What do you have to tell me?" Sara asked the woman standing in front of her. It was none other than Quin, she somehow escaped from Rayn's place when he was coming to the party but she has nowhere to go where Rayn doesn't know about. She only had one option that was to call Sara since she knows most of the places that he doesn't know. Quin broke down in tears after seeing her. Sara was shocked seeing her. Her neck was full of bites and from one corner of her mouth it was dark as if someone beat her. Though she thinks of her as an enemy, she is still part of her family. She can't forget their blood relationship. 

Sara hugged her and consoled her. She finally told her everything that was happening between Rayn and her. She was spooked from hearing that. She never thought that Rayn could be someone like that. He thought that he was someone who just loved her and that she rejected him but hearing what happened to Rayn he was not going to experience him hell for what he did to her. 

Sara called her secretary and asked her to ask the maids of the Cambridge mansion to clean it and someone was going to live there from now on. Her secretary nodded and did what she said. 

For now she took her to a hotel of their own. After leaving her there, she rushed to home. She knows she has to take care of another drama at home. It was around five in the morning when she reached home. She thought everyone would be sleeping so she entered silently but going inside she saw Michael sitting on the sofa. He looked tired as he was waiting for her whole night. She didn't know what to say to Michael. She already promised Quin that she was not going to tell anyone about it to anyone. 

Michael looked at her and asked her why is she coming home now. She tried to find an excuse and tell me that she was working on something in her office. Michael pulled her by his hand to their room. He didn't want to disturb them because of her. She took her inside the room and closed the door and pinned her on the wall. She tried to escape from there but Michael didn't allow her to go anywhere. She felt she didn't know this Michael, he was so cold today as if he was not the Michael she knew. The sweet and caring one was gone. He was harsh and cold to her for the first time. 

He asked her who he was with. She tried to cool him down but he asked her the question again that who was he to her this time louder and clearer than before. She was shocked seeing him like that. He was not at all sweet and caring she used to know. He was a completely different person now. 

"Michael" she tried to cool him down. But he was not at all listening to him. This time he shouted at her,"Just answer my question, Goddamnit!" 

She was startled on hearing her. Unknown from her tears started to fall from her eyes. But still Michael was not cooled down. He wanted to know today who he was to her. He wanted to know whether he was important to her or he was just a plaything for her.
