Chapter 123 - Regret

His anger broke out. He strikes his fist on the wall. Bloods started to come out of his knuckle. Sara got startled by that. She thought he was going to punch her. But he didn't. Sara got worried when she saw blood coming out from his knuckles. Sara tried to look at it but he snapped her away. She was shocked from his cold behavior. She called out his name and looked at his eyes. 

"Why are you doing this to me?" Michael asked with a strong pain in his voice. He wants her to think about him too. Why only about her work? Is he not important to her or her family or he is just a plaything to her. 

Tears rolled down from her eyes. She never knew Michael can be this cruel. Why does she have to inform him everything she does. Can't she do anything by herself just because she is married to him. If it's because of this marriage she doesn't need it. If something gives you so much pain you should let it go. She looked at him and asked if he trusts her even a bit. 

Michael was confused a bit when he looked at her. Why was she asking about it now. Was she not at fault here. She lived alone in front of everyone, he felt embarrassed because of her. Someone who didn't have a chance to stand the same as him came and scorned him because of it. 

An underworld lord who was respected by everyone became a joke in everyone's eyes. Is she not the one who should reply to her not him. 

"First reply to the question I asked you." Michael shouted at her. Sara became irritated from this. She didn't do anything wrong. Why should she reply to him? She had enough. She pushed him away and rubbed her tears. She was not someone to cry, she was the one who made others cry. How can she kneel down to him?  Did he think she was so easy. Just because she loves her, how dare he question her. 

"Who are you?" Sara asked cold heartly. Michael was shocked from the sudden change of her. She questioned him who he was to ask her. Did she do anything to be treated like that? Did he think just because she accepted her feelings for him, he thought he could do anything? And what was this? Why was he angry at her. She didn't do anything. 

He replied back if he was no one to ask her anything to her then why they are together. They should get divorce and it's better for both of them. 

Sara was startled to hear that. He was asking a divorce from her because of it. But she hid her emotions and she replied back they should get one. No one is happy because of this relationship. And she really wants to get a divorce from him. 

Michael was hurten hearing it. He just blurted out about the divorce but when he heard her words. He didn't want to step back, he was not at all faulty here. If she doesn't accept her mistake then why this relationship. He agreed to her and left the room with a loud bang. 

After he was gone, Sara broke down. She plopped down on the floor. Her tears flowed down from her eyes. He just said getting a divorce so easily. Was he playing with her all this time. Was she not at all important to him. How can he just say about divorce just because of a fight. It was not the first time they fought. 

She cried out like she had never cried before. Michael left the place in furry. Her mother showed him going, she wanted to stop him but she didn't. She knows that it's better not to step in between them. They should solve it themselves. She felt both of them wanted to have a talk with Sara and went towards her room. She was about to knock when she heard her crying she didn't. 

She came back to her room. It was in the breakfast table when she saw Sara. Her eyes all red and puffy. She had cried all morning. She just came down because she didn't want to make them worry about her again. She was silent the whole time. She didn't have anything from her plate. She just sat there silently being in her world. Her family showed her like that but they didn't know anything. She was showing that she was fine from outside but she was broken from inside. She was not even talking about it. Her mother called her but she didn't hear her. She called her again this time she heard her call. She fake smile and looked at her. She asked to eat her breakfast but she nodded and said she had eaten. She was not hungry and she should go to her office. Her mother nodded even though she knew she was lying. Her food was untouched, how can she be full? 

Sara got up and left. In the office she can't concentrate at all. Before she could concentrate on it no matter what but today she couldn't. She even got angry at her employees for even the slightest mistake. Everyone in the office was scared of her. They didn't know what happened to their boss but because they are getting tortured.  

Even after the office hours she stayed there. If she stays free she will be having those thoughts again so she tried to overwork herself. 

Her mother showed it when she went to the office and saw her. She felt bad for her. Yesterday she was also faulty, she should have not slapped her in front of everyone, she should have tried to understand her but she failed. She should not call herself a mother. She can't even understand her child, how can she call herself a mother. She went into her office and called Sara. Sara smiled seeing her mother but it showed some tint of sadness. She sat down on the couch and gave her the tiffin. Sara nodded and told her mother to leave it was already late. Her mother should rest now. Her mother wanted to argue about it but seeing her face telling her that she wants to be alone. She left. After her mother left, Sara took out a wine bottle and gulped it one go. Tears fell from her eyes again. If she can go back in time and stop herself from falling for her. If she could.

Every time you make a mistake you can only think about going back in time and changing it but you can't. That's what we regret most in our life.
