Xia Che kissed the little snake's forehead. "But Little Long, I don't like it when you hurt people. I already failed as a father, but now….. Now I feel like I failed as a mentor as well." He nuzzled his head.
"I didn't hurt him," Long Aotian whispered. "I knew that you would not approve of that," he cupped the silly beast's face and pecked his lips. "You did not fail."
The little crayfish gave a breathtaking smile. "I guess so," he mumbled, blushing.
Chuckling, Long Aotian lifted him and laid him on his lap. Nuzzling into his chest, he sighed.
"Long we are in public," Xia whispered, pushing his broad shoulders.
"I don't care. I need some loving." He pouted. "And some praise."
Xia giggled the childish-looking snake. He softly caressed his scalp and whispered, "Good boy."
He lifted his head from his chest and narrowed his eyes. "I am not a dog. Praise me some other way."
"How?" Xia gave a confused look.
"Here," Long smirked and pointed at his cheeks. Xia giggled and kissed him softly. "Here," he pointed to his right cheek. The silly beast kissed him there as well. So feather light kisses were gifted as praise for the golden dragon.
"Hmm," Xia held his chin and contemplated, "what do you think happened to those thugs?"
"Them? I destroyed the entrance portal so they are mostly trapped in there until they find other exits," Long shrugged.
"Hmm, I guess they had that coming," Xia shrugged. He spooned the last of the blood curd from the bowl and chomped on it. "Ah, Long, I heard that peking duck is famous around here, let's go eat that," Xia got down from his lap and pulled his sleeve.
"Let's go." Long linked their hands together.
They both walked around the little market and gathered all the information that there is to get about the black market the thugs mentioned.
Xia had a downcast look when he found out that the thugs were telling the truth about the odd kidnappings in Suikal.
Sensing his distress, Long Aotian hugged him close and whispered, "We will find her. I promise you this."
"Hmm," the silly beast sniffed and wiped away his fallen tears. "Yukiya will be fine. She will be."
"Yes, she will be. Now let's go prepare for our trip." Long patted his head.
"Oh yeah, how could I forget? We might need a lot of supplies," Xia cheerfully said.
They cruised across the entire town and bought a lot of supplies.
"We still have to buy healing pills," Xia mumbled, checking their purchase.
"Hmm, I saw a pharmacy around the corner."
"Let's go then," Xia gleefully pulled the little snake.
A small pharmacy stood in the lone street, but unusually it was filled with a lot of people.
Xia pushed past the hovering crowd and reached the counter. "These people are taking the dragon hunt wayyy too seriously." He wiped his sweat with his sleeve.
"Young man, most of them are not here for the dragon but to win the princess Felia over with it," the shopkeeper added.
"Is she that pretty?" Xia inquired with a curious look.
"She is beautiful beyond comparison. Some people even compare her beauty to that of the moon," The innkeeper winked and passed an open small scroll. A beautiful portrait of a woman in pink was depicted vividly. "Just one copper," the shopkeeper whispered.
He picked the scroll, but the little snake smacked his hands and glared down at him.
"We don't need this. Bring us some Relius flowers and some healing pellets," Long growled, pushing the scroll away.
"Okay sir," the shopkeeper smirked and walked back to the shelves.
"Xia, do you think that girl is pretty?" Long whispered.
"Hmm, she is pretty," Xia nodded his head.
"Then what about me?" Long Aotian pointed at himself.
"You are my cute little snake," Xia pinched his cheeks.
"Then I am not pretty," Long mumbled. 'He doesn't think I'm pretty, but she is pretty.' He gritted his teeth.
"Here sirs, that would be ten silver," the shopkeeper handed a small bag.
"Ten Silver!! But this medicine costs only twenty copper," Xia said, raising the small bag.
"Sir, we have too much demand and too little supply, so the prices have soared," he gave a sleazy smile. "But sir, since you are handsome I will give you an extra deal. There has been a rumour that princess Felia does not approve of this marriage so she went to search for the dragon herself," the shopkeeper giggled.
"Hmm, I see, let's go Long," He pulled the frozen snake out of the crowd.
Walking even further there was a small stall selling fried chicken legs. Licking his lips, Xia rushed over to the stall and ordered two of it.
"Little Long, come over here," he waved, holding two spicy chicken legs.
The stunned golden dragon stumbled over to him. He held the silly beast's chin and bit his chilli oil covered lips. He sucked his delicious lips and plunged his tongue into his soft cavern.
'He should only look at me.'
