One of the maids led her towards another courtyard, Yukiya followed after her with an innocent look. After walking for fifteen minutes, they reached a large golden courtyard in between an elaborately decorated coral garden.
"Your highness the prince is in here, princess," The maid bowed and walked away.
She stood still in front of the door. 'This is it, make or break.' Taking a deep breath, she slowly knocked on the door.
Aloud crashing sound came from behind the door.
She slowly knocked again, but another thing crashed inside.
Yukiya placed her ears on the door and slowly whispered, "Prince, are you in there?"
Another loud crash followed behind her call.
"I guess I'm inviting myself inside," she mumbled and slowly entered the door. Broken vase lined near the doorway. Kicking them with her feet, Yukiya manoeuvred in-between all the broken debris.
"Get out," A loud roar resonated from inside the room, followed by a vase thrown at her face. Stepping to the side, Yukiya missed it.
"Your highness, we need to have a talk," She said pulling her sleeves tightly.
"I SAID GET OUT," a raging dragon ran out of from the room. The guy was wearing his red wedding robe that was shaggy and his hair was in utmost disarray.
"You!!" he pointed an accusing finger at her. "It's all because of you. If I hadn't saved you, I would not be caught in this predicament," the guy mumbled pulling his hair.
"Master calm down, please," A little wolf pulled his pats legs.
"Calm down? How the hell can I calm down Raijin? IM GETTING MARRIED TODAY... Married... BUT I don't wanna get married. I'm going to lose my freedom, my independence, to make my decisions. Oh, my life will become absolute hell," he dramatically threw his head back and cried.
"Master howl," the little wolf cried along with its master.
Yukiya stood still, watching all this drama. 'When will this stop?' she thought with a drool stare.
The guy kneeled down and hugged the little wolf to his chest. "Raijin, it's better to dieee...." he cried.
'Okay, I've had enough of this drama,'
She slowly waved in front of his face. "Ahem, Mr Long Ki, we have to talk,"
"Oh my god, Raijin, tell this demon to go away," Long Ki cried, hugging the little wolf closer.
This comment really snapped her delicate nerves. "Who is the demon here? You are the demon; your entire family is demonic,"
"Watch what you say, I am the mighty red dragon of the royal Long family. You dare call me a demon?"
"Yeah, you called me a demon, didn't you?"
"I did. It's because you are a demon." The stupid guy said as if it's a matter of fact.
"You... you're crazy. I came here to make a deal with you but it looks like you've lost your mind already," Yukiya held her hips and sighed out loud.
"What deal," Long Ki sniffed.
"A deal you can't refuse," She smirked, pulling him up.
"Okay, I'm interested. Go on, tell me your deal,"
"I want to run away," Yukiya said swiftly.
"Run away? As in running away with me? That does not sound promising." He folded his hands and glared at her.
"No silly, 'I' want to run away," she pushed the beaded pearls out of her face and continued, "Because I don't want this marriage either and if I am gone, there will be no marriage. Then you can have your freedom,"
"Oh,... it REALLY is a good deal," he mumbled with an astonished look. "Okay, run." He gestured towards the open door.
Yukiya slapped her forehead. 'Goddess, talking to this brute is killing my brain cells.' She took a deep breath and said, "Mr. Long Ki, if I could I would have left long back," she huffed at the annoying pearl strings on her face. "God, this thing is irritating," She pulled at it and the thread snapped. Small pearl beads shattered across the floor.
"So you are saying that you haven't left because..... You couldn't?"
"YES!! I don't know any safe pathways to reach my realm. So, I need YOU to tell me that," Yukiya held her hips.
"Okay," He cheerfully said. "Come here," he beckoned her to his inner room, towards a messy table. "I had a map... of the palace, which has all the pathways to each realm..." he mumbled pulling scrolls after scrolls from the drawers.
"Aha, here it is," he pulled a worn out scroll from the floor. He spread it on the messy table. "See here," he pointed to a small passageway in the centre of the map. "This leads to the drainage system of the palace. It connects to all the realms."
Yukiya memorized the pathway, but she scrunched her brows. "But, what about the guards?"
"I'll distract them," he smirked.
