Chapter 61 - 61 - Along With Saviour

The little woman still glared at him, watching over his shoulder from time to time.

Long pulled Xia's coat closer and huffed.

'This woman is trying to steal my man,'

But he didn't want to trifle with this woman. Huffing, he strode over to Xia. He softly whispered next to his ears. "I have something for you,"

Xia's eyes widened in surprise. "Did you find it?" he whispered with excitement.

Long nodded his head with a small smirk.

"Oh thank gods, I thought I lost it forever." Xia let out a deep breath and held his chest in relief. "long, you can have it. I think I have become quite irresponsible now," he whispered.

Long chuckled out loud at this. He pulled his lover apart from the crowd and took the little leather string from his sleeve. A small golden scale attached to it shimmered from the morning sunlight.

"Long, I can't. I almost lost it this time. You should have it," Xia said with a sad look on his face.

The golden dragon shook his head. He took the small leather string and looped it around his lover's delicate neck and tied its ends. "My scales always belong to you," he bent down and whispered next to his ear, "my precious."

Xia flushed red at his declaration. 'Precious? Little long really learned how to flirt, ah,' Xia thought and hid his face with his sleeve.

Long chuckled and pulled his hands apart. "Don't hide from me. Let me see that red flush," he whispered.

"We are in public, ah," Xia whispered as his neck flushed red.

"Xia... Xia... teach me how to fold this part," Princess Felia shouted from the distance.

Xia pulled himself away from the little snake's hold and darted away.

Long glanced at the annoying pest. The woman in pink was also glaring his way. 'This woman is really pissing me off,' he thought, gritting his teeth.

He glanced at his lover's retreating back and followed after without a word.

He trusted him. His lover would never deceive him, but that woman.... he did not trust that new woman. She was acting extremely suspicious, and his innocent little lover did not even know the difference between talking and flirting, so he had to protect him from her.

Going into full on protective mode, Long followed after Xia with a solemn expression.

Xia squatted on the grass floor and started folding paper cranes after another. Two women, no one woman and one little girl sat next to him folding the paper.

As much as Long wanted to sit next to him, he didn't want to push them away to take their spot.

Sighing, he silently sat opposite to his lover and picked up a piece of paper.

"So cranes, I don't know how to do this," He whispered.

"Oh, it's very easy little Long see, fold this here, then fold this...." Xia continued to teach him. His beautiful little hands folded the papers swiftly into a little crane.

Soon they had enough folded cranes.

Xia shuffled through his medical pouch and brought out a small brush. Wetting it on his tongue, he proceeded to draw some magical runes on each of them.

As soon as the runes were complete the little paper crane turned into a huge one, with a wingspan of about 20 meters.

The spectators gasped as they watched this in wonder.

"The group close to town," Xia shouted.

A small group of three moved forward.

"You can all ride on this," he said, pointing to the crane. The paper crane turned its huge head and glanced down at them.

The humans hesitated as they watched the crane flap its paper wings.

Long walked up to Xia and softly whispered. "It's to eye-catching; they might get into even more danger,"

Xia thought about this issue. What Long said was correct. A huge 20 feet paper crane is more attention grabbing.

"Aha, I'll use a concealment spell," he exclaimed. Rushing towards the huge crane, he started chanting spell softly.

It glowed softly and disappeared into thin air.

"Tada, see its invisible now,"

The humans watched this in wonder.

"Lord Xia, can we even ride on it? Would it allow us?" they questioned in hesitation.

"Of course you can, it's a paper crane it does not have any consciousness," Xia assured.

After some thinking, the three humans got on its back. The little girl that helped him fold cranes also got on it.

She waved happily as the crane took off.

"Thank you saviour," she shouted.

Xia cheerfully watched all the humans leave one group after another. But when it came to princess Felia's turn she squatted on the floor and refused to leave.

"No!! I won't leave on that," she said with a pout.

"But princess you folded this crane remember, please lets go back to the palace. Your brother will be worried sick," her maid tried to convince her.

"Never!!" she said.
