"No!! I won't leave on that," Princess Felia said with a pout.
"But princess you folded this crane remember, please lets go back to the palace. Your brother will be worried sick," her maid tried to convince her.
"Never!!" she said.
"Come on princess, it's almost going to be noon, if you start your journey any late it will be dark by then," Xia said to the pouting woman.
"No!! I won't leave!! Xiaa...." she cried, holding onto his leg.
Long watched this with his mouth agape. 'This sly woman, how dare she touch my cute Xia's leg?' He thought. He really wanted to kick her off. But glancing at his lover, he controlled his urges too.
"PRINCESS, men and woman should keep their distance," Long said, gritting his teeth. Jaws tight, he watched the woman sob and cry, hugging Xia's leg.
"Princess, don't be a child. It's going to be okay. This crane will safely take you to your country," Xia said in a soothing voice.
Felia stooped sobbing and glanced up at him with her eyes wide. "I don't want to," she whispered.
"Why not? Your loved ones will be waiting for you. So, you shouldn't worry then," Xia said with a sigh.
"NO!! I want to travel with you," she shouted with a red face.
Stunned, Xia watched the woman. He did not know what to say. He glanced up at Long for answers.
Long glared at him and shook his head.
Sighing, Xia whispered, "Sorry princess, we.... we are not travelling for fun. We are searching for someone so I won't be able to take you with us,"
"Who are you searching for?" she said after some hesitation.
Xia softly smiled and whispered, "My mother Yukiya,"
"Oh, where did you last see her," she said.
"In Suikal, she went there for a small business," Xia said with a sad look.
Princess Felia shot up from the floor and gasped. "I was in Suikal when ii was kidnapped."
"Really!! Did you see a woman dressed in white, about yay tall, oh and also she wears a bamboo hat?" he inquired in anticipation.
"Ye..... YES!! I did," she shouted.
Xia took a deep breath and laughed out loud. "She is safe, Yukiya is safe, Long," he cried.
Long glanced at his ecstatic lover and held his hands subtly. Giving him the strength he needed.
Xia turned back to him and said, "Can we take her with us?"
His eyes shone as he waited for his answer in anticipation.
Sighing, Long nodded his head.
"Thank you," Xia shouted in glee.
Watching his lover happy made him happy in turn. He really did not have any more reasons to refuse his requests. But glancing at the woman smiling happily, he got a bad premonition in his heart.
'This woman is trouble. I have to stop Xia from getting close to her,' he thought with determination.
"Xia, let's go then," Long whispered into his ears. He wound their fingers together and walked ahead.
"Wait, wait for us," the stupid woman shouted and ran after them.
The golden dragon intentionally fastened his strides, pulling his lover alongside.
But she soon caught up to them. Panting, she looped her hand into Xia's and smirked.
Long gritted his teeth and glanced at her hands. 'Should I decapitate her or should I punch her in the face. Maybe the face, that she is so proud of,'
Before he could act on his impulses, Xia pulled his hands out of hers. "Women should not get so close to men,"
"Then think of me as a man," princess Felia shamelessly said.
"No!! Get away, you are a woman, so act like one," Long snapped at her.
"Then you get away from him, he is a man and why are you holding his," she bit back.
"I can hold his hands all I Want. He is my..." Long started.
"Stop it both of you. If you keep bickering, I will not walk alongside both of you," Xia shouted, glaring at them both. He softly pinched his brows and sighed.
"I hate loud people," he said and strode past them.
Long and Felia lowered their head and walked behind him, pouting.
Long turned back to her and glared. She did the same to him.
"He is mine," Long mouthed.
"No, he is mine," she mouthed and popped her tongue out.
'This imbecile. I want to punch her so bad,' Long thought with his eyes red.
'Bastard, how could he claim My saviour Xia is his,' Felia thought biting her finger nails.
And thus a small version of rivalry began with the two species. The mighty dragon would not give up on his lover, and the stupid human would not accept the truth right near her face.
They both snickered and sneered as they walked down the road.
