Chapter 89 - 89 - The Puppy

"AHH mommy," the tree shouted and ran to her left.

Felia chased after it. Her steps swift as she darted over to its side. There was even dust raising from her dashing feet.

The fleeing tree saw this and screamed out loud. "MOMMY! MOMMY! A CRAZY BEAST IS AFTER ME AHH," it shouted.

"You stupid tree, how dare you call me a crazy beast. Stop right there ah, let me vent my broken heart on you," she shouted as she gave chase.

The tree panicked even more. It was just a baby tree that cultivated for hundred years but luckily it got a spiritual awareness soon. The prideful little tree sneaked away from its mom to experience the world. It just went thirty feet away and met this crazy tree killing monster.

'Mommy, I will listen to you forever ah. I will never go against your words,' it internally vowed in its mind.

Soon it reached the familiar tree grove. 'Mommy is near I have to reach her before this monster kills me ah,' it internally screamed.

"MOMMY save me!!" it screamed and ran towards the huge banyan tree next to a small lake.

The banyan slowly moved its aerial roots and wound it around its child.

"Who dare try to hurt my baby?" the banyan shouted aloud.

Felia stopped for a while and gazed at the towering tree. Its aerial roots were swaying, like many hands, its roots slowly pulled out of the ground exposing small face on it.

"Who dare trespass here?" it shouted.

"It's me, your baby called me a crazy beast it deserves a trunk whopping," she said righteously.

The banyan creaked as it moved closer to her. "You trespass my territory, hurt my son and then you demand I beat my son? How dare you," it shouted in anger.

Its aerial root swayed vigorously.

The back of it had many pod like bundles attached to its hanging roots. "These are all my victims. I will hang your corpse there as well," it maliciously said and reached to her with its roots.

Felia dodged it for a while but it kept coming from all directions. She summoned her sword from her ring and slashed a few of them. But the roots were endless.

'Situation is reversed. I have to leave soon,' she thought as she slashed s root that was coiling around her leg.

"You stupid guy, it was your son who offended me first," she said.

But another root coiled around her waist and hands, making her immobile. She tried swinging her sword, but her the tree grabbed it out of her hands.

"Now I will eat you too," It shouted and swiftly wrapped her up.

Its roots made her completely immobile to even utter a spell.

'This is bad. I can't move,' Felia though as she moved around. the roots were very sturdy and did not budge under her struggle.

The banyan tree tried to find a spot to hang her up.

"Mommy, put her along with that naughty puppy, let it bite her death," The little tree shouted to its mom.

Nodding a little, the banyan placed her inside a small pod to its left branch.

Felia felt her being shoved inside a cocoon. 'Is this one of the pods it showed me earlier,' she thought, gazing around vigilantly.

In her struggle she lost her illuminating pearl, so she was in complete darkness, with only a ray of moonlight flowing in.

She smelt a heavy smoky smell coming from inside the pod.

'Something else is in there,' she thought as she gazed around.

Slowly but surely, a pair of glowing eyes were exposed to her. 'A beast! I'm trapped with a beast. What a rotten luck,' she cursed gazing at the eyes vigilantly.

"Come out or I will punch you to death," she shouted to the unknown creature.

It growled softly and moved forward. Under the moonlight a small pink puppy was revealed.

"A puppy? Aww, what are you doing here? Did you get lost? Don't worry I will save you from this tree," Felia squealed.

Puppies have always been her weakness. Whenever she saw one she couldn't help but cuddle and hug them tightly.

But weirdly so, most of the doggies she met in her life were absolutely terrified of her. One of it even choked to death when she touched it slightly.

She rushed to the little puppy and hugged it to her bosom.

"Aww, baby, I will take you out of this death trap," She softly whispered and stroked its hairless skin.

This was the first puppy that allowed her to touch it. Felia was ecstatic, her previous heartbreak long forgotten. She tightly hugged its little body.

The puppy growled and bit her hands. But its milk teeth could not do much harm to her.

"Aww, why are you so cute? I love you so much," she hugged to closer to her bosom.

The puppy wiggled around vigorously and whined.

"Cutie don't move so much let me hug you more," Felia said and kissed its little wet snout.

The little puppy frothed around its mouth and fainted.

"Puppy, don't die!!"
