Long Aotian and Xia first settled down Felia and Jinjue in a room. With his tail upright, Raijin stood guard for them in front of the door.
The golden dragons squatted in front of him and patted his fur less head. "Brother Raijin, we'll leave them to you. Please take care," he respectfully said. He wanted to rush back to his lover and enjoy the bath time he was promised.
The little pup nuzzled against his palm and wagged his tail vigorously. 'Definitely! I will protect them..... and young master, make sure not to over exert your 'ahem' mate,' he barked and howled.
Long tilled his head and pouted. "I don't understand a thing you are saying, brother. Either way, stay safe," he said and cheerfully hopped away.
Raijin whined. He really didn't like going back to his child form. No one could understand him, except that old soul. But even so, he felt quite lonely. 'Master Long Ki, where are you? When are you going to find me?' He internally cried.
He softly whined and curled up next to the door.
Jinjue saw this and sighed. She picked up a small bowl full of sheep bones and placed it next to the pup. The pup raised its head, softly whined and rolled into a ball again.
She patted its bald head and whispered, "I know you are sad that your master is sick. But you shouldn't starve yourself for that,"
Raijin raised his head and gazed at her with his eyes narrowed. 'I'm not a babe. I don't like gnawing at bones,' he said with a whine.
Honestly, he was a little worried for her. Even though she was rough with him, she was very kind as well. That time when they were caught by that tree monster as well. She had always protected him. But he had failed to protect her from the rainbow snake's attack. Thankfully young master's mate knew how to make the thousand poison pill, otherwise she would have lost her life.
Jinjue had tried feeding the pup many other things after, but he refused to eat any. He cried and whined. She sighed it can't be helped after all. Her master loved this pup so much and when she wakes up Jinjue wanted the pup to be healthy.
On the other hand, in the separate room, Xia was drinking tea. Long sighed as he rolled around in the soft bed. "Love, the bed is cold; I'm warming it for you." He said with a smile but his anticipation expression said, 'let me eat you, let me eat you,'
Xia did not bother with his vain attempts. His mind was filled with ways on how to find his mother. 'When Felia wakes up, I should ask her where she saw my mother last. Then I'll start searching there,' he thought as he unknowingly sipped the hot tea without blowing on it. The tip of his tongue got burned badly.
He summoned a small mirror, inspected the damage. It was just a small burn. The tip of his tongue had become red.
The golden dragon saw this from the distance and rolled over. "Love, did you hurt yourself? Let me heal you,"
He gently held his lover's chin and licked his red tongue. His saliva was known to have great properties to heal even mortal wounds. A small burn was just a simple thing. It was healed in seconds. But the dragon refused to let go. He had already got the sweet taste of his lover, and it was impossible for him to let go now.
Xia softly moaned and wound himself around him. The little snake lifted him up by gripping his thighs. Like a little child he was clinging to his sturdy body, as he was being devoured by the mighty dragon.
He was starting to enjoy it. Yet his guilty mind was not into it. His dear mother was somewhere nearby and here he is doing this and that with the little dragon.
He softly patted his shoulders and detached their lips. Long confused gaze made him even guiltier. "Aotian, can we....do this some other time."
"Why love, are you not feeling well?" he was worried. His lover always had a weak disclosure. And the recent near death fight he might have incurred some hidden injuries. He did block a huge wind blade of a Kirin. As for what method he used, he did not know.
"No, I'm anxious to find mommy Yukiya. She must be nearby somewhere. She might even be in danger. My heart is unsettled, Aotian. I want my mother," he whispered with tears streaming down his face. "I miss her so much. I'm scared..... scared that she doesn't want me anymore. I want my mommy." Turning back, he burrowed his head in his lover's warm embrace.
Unknowingly, he had uttered his greatest fear that dwelled in his heart. Fear that he was abandoned.
"How could that be possible? Your mum loves you and adores you. She would never abandon you by choice," Long whispered, wiping his streaming tears.
"I want my mum," Xia sobbed.
Watching him cry broke his heart. Long hugged him tight and softly patted his back. "Don't cry, love. My heart hurts to see tears in your eyes," he uttered as he softly rocked him back and forth.
Because Xia did not feel like bathing their bath, time was postponed. Instead, Long accompanied him as they both counted stars. It was a clear night, so the sky was filled with shimmering stars.
He gently hugged him from behind and whispered, "We will definitely find your mother,"
Xia was still unsettled. He was too anxious and happy at the same time. Happy that he would see his mum again, anxious that his mother might not approve of his relationship with Long.
With anxiety he went to bed. His brows locked up in a frown, Xia kept calling his mother in his dreams.
So Long secretly flew out into the town in search of some news.
