Chapter 162 - 162 - Lian Hua

"Hmm," his jet-black eyes stared into his soul. "Did you hurt them?" The man calmly whispered, but his murderous aura intensified.

"No..Yes....I...I don't....." Oli panted. He felt his soul being squeezed and pulled. "Ahhh....I didn't.....mean it," he gasped.

"So you did hurt them," the masked man whispered with a deadly smile. He summoned a small sword from his ring. It was shimmering green with a small lotus engraved on its hilt.

"No—please don't..i don't mean to. I'm sorry," Oli begged. At this right moment something gooey and sticky fell on his head. Mortified, Oli touched his beautifully combed hair to find puke in it. The smell…..it made him puke as well. The sword that was going to slice him open stopped mid air.

The masked man choked down his laughter, but was not able to hold it in. "Ha-ha you got puked on. Ha-ha i think it s a wise enough punishment. I was going to take your hands off for hurting my son, but i think heavens served you retribution,"

Oli nodded his head and wiped his face with a small kerchief. 'This puke, it is my life saving grace ahhh. It's a blessing in disguise' he cried internally. He glanced up at the sky to find a small chariot with a woman half hanging down to the side puking her guts out.

The masked man followed his line of vision and saw the woman. Glancing at the woman puking her guts out, he felt a bit of pity. His late wife.....she also suffered from flight sickness. "young lady do you need some medicine. I have some," he offered.

A man's head popped out from the chariot and glanced down at him. "Yes, that would do us great,"

"But I'm fine," the woman assured but she started puking again.

With a sigh, the man lowered his chariot over to the ground. The woman swiftly got up and ran over to a tree and started puking again. The man rushed over as well and held her hair away.

Oli saw that the masked man was distracted and took this chance to run away. 'Thank you young lady whomever you are,' he thought as he sneaked away.

The masked man walked over to them and held out a bottle of pills. "This is for motion sickness," he whispered with a soft smile.

Taking the bottle, Long Ki sniffed it before he gave it to her. "Yukiya, here have this. We really should have travelled by foot. Why do we have to rush," he whispered with a frown.

"But Xia is there waiting for me. i can't delay right," Yukiya sniffled. Her yes started tearing up just the thought of her baby close by. 'My baby is nearby, how can I slow down now,' she thought wiping her tears away.

She popped the pills and dry swallowed them. But it was quite hard considering that the pills were as big as a small grape. Long Ki summoned his water bottle but it was long empty. "Wait till bring you some water," he said but he glanced at the masked man with a worried look. He really did not want to leave her alone with a suspicious man.

The masked man froze listening to their conversation. 'She....isn't she the one my son was searching for.' He had done a thorough investigation of son and found out that a woman named Yukiya had raised him to adulthood and taught him how to cultivate. He was more than pleased that his son had a good adult guiding him.

The masked man smirked and gave them a bottle of spirit infused water. "You don't need to repay me for this. I owe you a lot," He whispered and walked away.

Yukiya watched him walk away with her hazy eyes. 'Is it just me or....does the man's eyes looks like Xia.. And why did that mans say he owed us a lot....wait is he'

"Wait..." she shouted.

The man stopped.

"Are you related to xia? Like are you his uncle or.....his father?" Yukiya said with a frown. Her back straightened up looking at the man's back.

The mans silently glanced back with a smirk.

"Tell me please. Are you?" she whispered urgently. Initially she had travelled to Suikal to find Xia che's origin. She had an informant here that stated that they knew the origin of a demon named Icarus who could help her find Xia's father.

But the unfortunate happened that day, leading to a mess of events.

The masked man walked over and squatted next to her. "Send him my regards. I—I was not there for him most of his life but....i will definitely take care of him from now on," he said softly.

"Then what about me...i am the only family he's got," Yukiya shouted anxiously.

"You will always be his family," the masked man assured and gave her a small ornate box. "Take it. Protect yourself. My son needs you." Yukiya rejected it but the man insistently gave her it. "Don't think of anything." He said.

With hesitant hands, Yukiya took it from him. "What is your name?" she whispered hesitantly. She could feel an overwhelming amount of spiritual energy in him which genuinely scared her. Buts he got her courage and glanced into his eyes.

The masked man laughed. "Lian Hua, my name is Lian Hua," he said with a small smirk.

"Mister Lian, Xia is in Suikal right now. Are you coming with us?" she whispered with expectant eyes.

"No, he is here," Lian hua pointed to the sky. The sky trembled and a small vortex appeared.

"What is that? Why—why is he there? That thing, what is it?" Yukiya anxiously stood up. She glanced at Long Ki with a frown. He held her hand to assure her that he will always be with her.

The masked man walked closer and threw a small branch at it. the small vortex swallowed it whole.

"Where does it lead to?" Long Ki said with a frown. He had seen spatial rifts like this before in his amethyst cave that he close cultivated in. They usually end up pin random places and realms. If Xia was indeed got caught in it them they would not be find them at all.

"They are in a different realm," Lian Hua said the inevitable said.
