Chapter 178 - 178 - Hates Me?

Long pulled away from the kiss and glanced down at him. "What was that? That was not your spiritual energy but why does it seem so..... Familiar,"

Xia started sweating profusely. He definitely knew that if he revealed about Hong Lian, Long would definitely get clues about him being demon. "Something that helped you," he mumbled, whilst twirling his thumb.

"What are you hiding? Tell me," Long whispered with his eyes narrowed.

"I'm not hiding any—anything,"

"Really....hm, then where did you get the ruby? Did that demon give it to you?" he joked.

But Xia remained silent, glancing to his left.

"Xia....tell me. Did that guy give this to you.....oh my god Xia, you know well not to trust a demon,"

Xia glared at him at this statement. "Hey that is racism. Not all demons might be bad...like humans, some bad, some good. Even demons would have good hidden deep within," he whispered.

"No demon is innocent Xia, Understand that. Not Icarus Not Bao Hu, none of them are good. They are all evil. Don't trust them," Long shouted.

Xia bit his lips and glared at him. Uncontrollable rage filled his body. He started pounding on his chest. "You are wrong. You are wrong, you stupid dragon....do you hate them…," he shouted aloud.

Attacked without any warning, the dragon was caught off guard. "Of course I hate them. Who doesn't? They are the once who started the Great War. But why are you so angry? I'm just stating the truth." he shouted back.

Xia pushed him off of him and pulled his shirt together. "You know what, You are most condescending jerk I've ever met. I—I don't even want to talk to you now," he shouted and stormed out.

Whilst all this Long was frozen in shock. "What did I do? What the hell, Xia I was telling it for you own good," He followed him but the door slammed shut on his face.

Long ran out, but his lover had already disappeared around the corridor. "Darn!" he rushed through the corridor but he had not even inkling on where his lover left off to.

He ran through the various corridors in the castle like house.

In the corner, Xia stood inside a room with his back to the door. He could hear the shuffled footsteps of his dragon, but it only brought tears.

Just four days ago, he had prayed desperately for Long to wake up, but now....he did not even want to see him. "What would he do if he knew about me?" he summoned a small knife and sliced through his skin. Red blood oozed out of it, painting his entire arm red. "But it's in my blood…..how can I change that?"

Red blood, like a vermillion's wings, dripped drop but drop onto the carpeted floor. "Don't demons, beast and humans have red blood….Then why are we differentiated by our race?" He started sobbing softly.

A small footstep reached for his door and softly knocked. "Master...are you hurt?" Bao hesitantly whispered from outside.

Xia shook his head. "I am heartbroken. Why do I have to be a demon….why…he hates me now," his whole body trembled.

"open the door, master…let me be there for you," Bao whispered softly.

With trembling hands, Xia opened the door to a slid and glanced at him. "Are all demons bad?"

Gazing at his puffy red eyes, bao sighed. "No, master."

Xia sniffed and opened the door fully, letting the demon inside. "Then why doesn't he understand. I am not a bad person. I swear I am not, but he does not believe it...it hurts…" he cried, holding onto his aching chest.

Bao sighed. He knelt down next to him and bandaged the bloody wound. "Master, does he know that you are a demon?"

"He—he doesn't. But I won't tell him. He hates them Bao, he hates 'us'. What can I do? I can't change the way I'm born. It's not my choice to make. Did my previous birth also suffer so…." Xia whispered desperately.

Bao sighed out loud. "Let's get out of here. It'll help you relax." he whispered and led him to a small metal door. He pressed a button nearby and the metal door opened.

Xia wiped his tears and glanced at the magic door.

"Oh, this is an elevator. We use it instead of stairs. It takes us between floors."

"Oh, it's magical,"

They both rode the strange door down to the basement. A few shiny chariots called cars were stored there. "Are we gonna ride a 'Ca—r?"

"Em hmm, we are traveling in a 'convertible'" he pointed to a car without any top on.

Xia nodded. and wiped his snot with his sleeve.

"We need to buy you some clothes and a haircut if you'll allow me,"

Xia pulled his ragged hair and pouted. "Maybe, but I have a knife to cut it though,"

"Knife? We use scissor master. And we have professionals to take care of our hair," Bao whispered with a soft chuckle.

"Professional hair guys? wow that sounds nice. I need a wash badly," Xia hopped onto car and wore his weird strap. "I'm ready,"

"Yes. Master, I'll help you experience the ride of your lifetime,"

The car started and wild wind swept through his hair. The wind was not as pure as back in his world, but the ride was more enjoyable.

Xia curiously watched everything. The roads were painted with white lines where people cross. All the cars stopped there and so did their car. Unlike his birth town, this place was full of people but all of them were preoccupied by a small rectangular box in their hand.

"What are they holding?" Xia pointed to a passerby

"It's called a mobile phone. You can talk to someone with it. It has an illuminating peals function. it can even calculate numbers for you," Boa Hu explained.

Xia couldn't comprehend how a small box could do complex spells like that, but he let it slide. "Oh, that's nice." He mumbled and wiggled his legs around.

Huge stone buildings surrounded both sides of the pathway they drove. They towered so high that they even touched the sky.

Even thought it was completely a new world, Xia was able to admire eth unique beauty of it. "This place is beautiful in its own way," he whispered.

"Hmm, it's a lovely place when you get to know the people," Bao added.

Riding around town for a while, Bao took him to a saloon.

Xia got a gentle hair wash and a haircut. It was cut till below his waist. He watched the demon whisper to the servants cleaning his hair. "Style it like a mythical braid," after saying this Bao held his little rectangular device and walked out of the room.

The stylish started braiding his hair. The process was too tiring so Xia took a short nap whist they worked with his hair.

"It's done," someone said close by.

Xia blinked awake and took a look at his reflection. A beautiful French braid was braided his hair, and the end was a bit curled, making him look elegant as a flower. The little crayfish was without words. He never knew that hair can be weaved this way at all. He cheerfully touched the braided hair and whispered his thanks to the servants.

Right this moment, Bao walked in and was stunned by the view. His beautiful master had returned. Especially with his same robe, he looked like the real Hong Lian had walked out of the mirror. "Master you look stunning," he whispered with a soft blush. He could not even maintain eye contact with him in fear that master would misunderstand.

Just like him, every human in the salon kept throwing glances at him with a slight blush on their faces.

Bao glared at him and led his master safely out.

"Next clothes," he stuttered and rushed out

The demon lord then drove them over to a huge mirror building. It was just had three floors, but it looked grand with all the shimmering light.

"I own this place. I ordered everyone to be cleared so that we can shop peacefully." Bao added.

Xia nodded and walked inside another magic glass door that opened itself. The palace was huge, with shiny floor and bright lights on the ceiling. "This place looks.....shiny,"

"Master here," Bao led him to a metal staircase. As soon as they walked close, the starts started moving up.

Startled, Xia stepped back and summoned his sword. "What magic is THAT?"

"woah woah, master, that's an escalator. It helps you climb stairs without....climbing it,"

Xia glanced at him with a quizzical glance. "Why have a staircase if you are not going to climb it....that moving room was much better?"

Soon they reached a small shop with loads of clothes hanging around. Some were colorful, some of them were made of warm wool.

Xia ran over to them and started feeling around. "This one is made of wool. This one.....its silk. Oh my god,"

"We should buy this." he handed a yellow sweater to him.

Xia changed into his new clothes.
