Chapter 35：One Freezing Night

Karla was done packing some veggies for salad to be brought to the office the next day for lunch. While she was looking at the lunch boxes, she cannot imagine it would just be emptied easily for minutes since she has to feed three big men around. Then she added one more bigger lunch box for the rice alone and smiled while putting her hands akimbo.

" These food stuffs I guess would be enough. Hmm... boiled broccolli, cauliflower, carrots, small-sized potatoes in a food container. The other container had one kilo fried fish and 'ginataang nangka.' Great! it's time to sleep now." She unwrapped the apron and rushed to take a bath. While on her way going to the room, Seb and Nomin were approaching.

" Hi, may I ask if where's Godem." Then she hurriedly entered inside the room, locked it properly, removed her shirt, long pants, wrapped a towel around her; and opened the bathroom, but Godem was inside and just got done with his shower. With that very spot, Karla unknowingly had shouted so loud, more louder and the loudest from the top of her lungs upon seeing his manhood. When the other two angels had heard her, they entered immediately without opening the door and found her that way. So funny though, there was never any noise when they entered so they vanished immediately and knocked the door, so politely. So the culprit Godem who took a bath without notice had found a way on how to solve that bad situation by erasing her memory and he just copied what the other two had been doing to Karla, he made her sleep and carried her on bed. The two guys had been watching him as she dressed her up with a big shirt he just have grabbed beside the bed, jersey shorts, put all her hair arranged above the pillow and covered her with a soft blanket. He whistled after that and got back to the bathroom, wore himself with the shirts and soft long pants he has left there. Then they saw a very bright light shining upon him, while he knelt on the floor and asked forgiveness to the heavens for not closing it properly. Seb knew the body gesture and on how well-bent the spine would be, it's too low; to the extent that the forehead and nose would reach to the ground. He prayed so deeply.

" It was the purest rescue I've ever found in the world. You must be proud, it's your body who knelt there and been blessed right after the incident. He treated the human body as absolute sacred creation, yes it is." Nomin whispered to Seb.

Meanwhile, Godem got out from the bathroom and smiled at them.

" Can we talk." Seb sat on the chair beside the window.

Godem and Nomin followed, seated as Seb was a bit chilling.

" What happened, we saw the midway but we'd like to know if how it started." Seb calmly asked.

" Hmm...I was taking a bath when she arrived, running. I was busy rinsing this terrible sticky hair. She came without notice and saw me bare under the shower. Eventually she shouted. So sad, I caused the trouble tonight, sorry. But let me tell you both, the doorknob is damaged, since then? This must be repaired right away without using our power, tomorrow will do."

" Hmm, I see. So where will you sleep tonight?"

" Just next to her, you two can sleep beside her. How come we are guardians then we'll sleep afar from her. It's just the same when we guard humans without seeing us, we stay wherever they go and we're just even a few inches away. Remember, we're not grim reapers that shows up only when they get someone's soul. We protect humans as much as we could, Seb knew that a lot. It's freezing outside, Philippines have not experienced this ever since but just tonight, it's snowy, isn't it suspicious. Isn't yhis Demido's tactic? Hmm...let's continue to confuse them that we're three Sebs or if you want I can go back inside her body, which one."

" No, no, just be temporarily the Godem angel, I know the real Godem would agree, right." Nomin looked to Seb.

" Yes...I agree. Just be visible."

" Okay, fine. But for the time being, I have to check outside with my sacred cloak. No worries, dark shadows could not see me." Godem smiled then he left.

" Seb, is he an angel saint? I saw how he dressed up my wife as I felt his senses, so normal heartbeats and the like." Nomin smiled.

" That's one of the skills given to him as a form of reward. Banli knows him a lot." They turned their heads back to Karla again and she woke up.

" Karl, it's not the aircon, it's snowy in our place. It's your turn to wash up now, we'll wait for you when you come out. The heater is on, isn't it right Seb." Nomin drew closer to her and gave to her the towel.

" Yes, yes...it's turned on, you may use it now." Seb replied and Karla was chilling going on in.

Godem arrived and confirmed that they are being tested by the dark shadows whose estimated number is almost a thousand. In order not to be taken out of their bait, we must not use our skills. This time, we'll stay around. I'm the most harmful and yes, not a possible husband so if they see me beside her, their suspicion will grow that we split now into three, instead of just two and might think of me as Seb. So I stay beside Karla, next to me is Seb, then next to Seb is Nomin. We cannot let Karla sleep alone, they might detect it and will set the final attack. They are becoming crazier of us this time. All the three of us were registered in heaven as angels, but among us is Karla's wedded husband. The reason behind is, if they can mistakingly kill the husband, they cannot get the wife and can't avenge and the worst is, they will all perish. Through Karla, as hostage, the immortal couple as Karla's parents will surrender to them. So our role is very elemental most especially to both of you. There she...comes out not." Godem said.

" I'm done." She smiled at them.

" Come..." Nomin wrapped her first with a thicker blanket, combed her hair and Seb extended the hair dryer. Karla was really smiling while the three felt so much fun on her hair. It took them for 30 minutes before they fully had her hair done.

" Time to sleep." Godem said and so as planned. Karla was in between of them. But Seb was holding her hand so tight, breathless, Godem held her left hand so effortlessly and whispered.

" Seb...you sleep now...you're chilling too much, it's really very cold, such a snowy night...it's my first time." Godem softly said.

Seb was already sweating while Karla turned her face towards him and their lips accidentally met, it turned out that they mutually pressed each other's hands, so tight and meaningful. She was carefully looking at his droopy eyes, her heart wants to burst like a beethoven sonata within. Their lips were warmth, soft and timid albeit no one can even start to grasp each other, like a padlocked door, unchiseled frames and untouched souls, their heartbeats crumpled in a thousand words but holding each other's pulses and breathe forever in a second, she closed her eyes while his sweats scattered on her face, preempting that her lips will begin to twirl in the thiniest space of solemnity. But the reality is, they're in the middle of a war, they'll get lost and the dark shadows might win. Needless, but Seb suddenly remembered the mission on the verge of that difficult situation. He stood up and in a split second, spread his wings, had his sword out and shouted before he flew up in the sky, raised his sword and had his first attack ever in the history of angels, where an angel, alone - is ambushing the outnumbered almost a thousand enemies of ghouls and dark shadows. He shouted again so loud that gave a terrible lightning. For the first time, his body produced a multi colored light like ultra violet rays that powderized the enemies, hiding or not, got melted.
