Chapter 36：Karla's Abduction

At 4 o'clock in the morning everyone woke up aside from Seb who slept inside the bathroom. He was very silent and no one attempted to call him. Karla was already in the kitchen and the two boys were chatting.

" Can't believe it! Good heavens! he sprouted in the skies like mushroom and those lights, those were the agamma lights I've heard from the elders. He did not even tell us that he will attack at once. Wow! he's really the bravest. I can really understand how tired he is right now." Godem said.

" It was really worth-seeing, when I get back and become human again, I will always remember what I have seen last night, after all, it isn't an ordinary story in the history. Did he plan it?" Nomin asked.

" I don't know either, hmm, fantastic!"

" Okay boys, I'm done finalizing everything, just please proceed to the next room, in Seb's room. We'll just let him stay there for a while where he's with, right now. We'll give him space.

Momentarily, inside the bathroom where Seb was, he blocked his thoughts for Nomin. He was still processing, recalling the sweating he has encountered before her shimmering eyes and while she was tightly pressing his hand. He cutoff the memory as it tickled him again with his awkwardness overload of. He shook his head and smiled.

" I'm getting crazy, I guess." He stood up,smiled and had his shower. He got out refreshed and invisibly passed through a closed door, going to his room. He thought no one could see him but he was wrong, before he passed through the wall, they first notice him so they also got out invisibly passing the other side of the room.

After he had dressed up with his coat and tie, he texted Nomin to bring Godem along with them in the workplace for a casual position he has to offer.

He did not take his breakfast and as usual Karla included his breakfast in a food pack. Karla felt hesitant

for what had happened last night so she seated at the back, beside Nomin. Everyone was silent. When they reached the parking area, Seb told Godem to go with him towards the HR office and he did.

" Good morning Sir Seb, is he the one you've recommended, his exam is ready, please come in, Sir." Princess smilingly invited Godem.

" I'll move to some department heads expecting me this morning, please excuse me."

He headed to the annex building and checked personally the offices with certain cracks and marked the areas as hazardous. Employee occupants had he personally advised to vacate to the main building.

Someone was calling on his phone, it's Karla.

" Your breakfast...it's ready in here in your table."

" Hmm...thank you. I'll be there in a few minutes."

While he was on his way going up, he was totally shameful. Karla texted him.

" Hmm..I decided to get out so that you can have a peaceful breakfast, I....I'm sometimes talkative."

" No. Just stay there."

When he reached the office, he started to break the silence.

" My dear...I'm afraid."

" For what then..."

" I'm sorry. I was just thinking that it's this body you're communicating at , while I am just a bystander, just a soul, a guardian angel of Seb who tried to save him."

" Sshhh....don't overthink. Everything will be alright soon." Then she looked at him and smiled.

It was a great reassurance from someone he holds dear and more time became persuasive with his meaningless defense.

" It's not that I can't feel the way it was neither something I cannot do or outdo but it's just something that might lead me to lose you. So...it made me to rather lose all demons that made me miserable with my feelings." Seb told her sincerely.

" Hmm...yes, I only knew it." Karla smiled at him.

" Thanks for keeping, it's not a sin. I did not do anything against God's will, this body of your sensual husband beats for it all."

" Maybe..." Karla smiled at him.

" Do you mean he doesn't act and feel like I do?" Seb asked but she reasoned out to get some bottled water.

Then Karla went to the rooftop and cried.

" She cried again." Seb whispered himself.

While waiting for her to come back, he wrote a memoranda regarding the investigation of fraud and land grabbing of Demido, proposal for the board meeting agendum regarding the grant for a three-day leave with pay to all women experiencing monthly period, paternal one day leave with pay so that they can look after their wives within the first day of this monthly period and the inclusion of psychosocial counseling to employees who are emotionally suffering from life's daily distress, unforeseen calamity effects and work-related issues bothering them. Finally, hiring of a regular resident staff to handle psychosocial counseling is highly proposed with qualifications such as, but not limited to; Guidance Counselor, Psychologist or Social Worker.

After thirty minutes, Karla did not return yet so Seb called up Nomin while Godem was already done with his examination so he also showed up instantly and they went out to look for her and they even checked at the rooftop but to no avail. Seb was very worried and the rest. They returned to the house very early but she was not there. At sundown, the three were hopeless. No one can go for dinner and not even a single taste of food. With that emotional rig, Banli appeared in front of them.

" She's a hostage since this morning. But no one from the dark shadows had touched her. She was taken cared of a female human Cleo, who happened to be one of your company's staff and an accomplice of Demido and Camille. I told you all to guard her that much but still she was abducted. Hmm...now, is the payback of your laxness. He is right now at Camille's Bayside cottage and northbound from here. Go and get her."
