Chapter 40：Lost Calling Card

In the following day, Seb, despite dizziness woke up immediately and was searching for the calling card. But it's not anymore on his bed. He tried to search for it on the floor but still nothing. In a while, he just decided to get out and searched to the laundry that Karla had gathered beside the well at the back.

" Hi, my dear, it's good to see you around when I'm worried. Can I sit beside you. There's this thing I'm looking...it's a calling card from someone, he's the store owner of Cake and Pastries. Can you still recall that chocolate cake, where Godem was still inside your body. You bought that there and I sneaked beside the store, waiting for you to get out. I did not know that the store owner had seen me so when I returned there yesterday to buy a box of it, he extended to me that calling card. He told me to just message them whenever we have to order some. But I was just curious on what's been written on it, there were two names and I somewhat heard or seen it somewhere, hmm. But this morning, that card wasn't anymore on my bed. I assumed it's here in the laundry. Just in case, have you seen it?" Seb smiled at Klara.

" Card...I haven't seen anything on bed but your company suit yesterday. However, last night, after Nomin and Godem sprinkled you some wine at the doorway, you got back to your room and changed again before you head back and finally joined us."

" Hmm...yes, I remember it. It wasn't in my mind when I changed because I was in a hurry to go back, though, it's okay, I'll ask for another card from the store soon." He smiled while arranging Karla's hair.

" Last night...while you were drunk, you mentioned of your beautiful wife and a daughter..." Karla whispered him.

" What? haha." It's another joke again. I'm sure enough, yes, I had only one wife in my past three lives. But goodness...I never had a daughter, even if I wish to have a dozen of them." Then he laugh.

" No. All of us have heard it, so clear. Godem even said that maybe it's your wife and daughter from the past life." She sadly looked at him.

" Hmm...honestly, I oftentimes see that beautiful woman and a little girl, but the moment I see her face, you won't believe what I'm going to tell you, haha because it's your face holding the tiny hand of a little girl. That's why, even me can"t understand. Call it my future daughter? wow...I would love to, that my firstborn would be a girl. Love that, yes, I'm human, hmm...almost human." He looked at her while smiling then immediately left.

" Haha!" then her cheeks turned out pinkish.

While Seb was walking going to his bedroom he passed by the mini library and found Godem praying on the corner.

" Can't believe a joker angel kept praying all the time while I was doing it weekly. Hmm...haven't heard of Banli so far, need to have some updates." Seb smiled and saw Nomin in the kitchen, prepararing for breakfast.

" Hi Nomin, good morning, have you seen any calling card on my bed?"

" No, I haven't. Try to ask Godem after his prayer and daily report to Banli. He was the one who carried you last night to your room."

" I see...hmm, is he reporting daily, he's got a tougher mission." Seb pulled a chair then sat down beside the kitchen table.

" He's too serious when it comes to routines. Just at dawn, I saw him at the orchard and planned to pray there. I prevented him from doing that outside so I made him transfer in the mini library and just close the door." Nomin continued.

" Really! at the orchard, wow! he's really amazing! good that you told him to stay inside while doing it. Speaking of him, here he goes coming."

" Good morning Godem. Not to mention everytime I see you, I see myself. Is that your feeling also when you see Nomin around?" The three of them laughed out loud.

Godem pulled a chair and leaned his hands on the table while Nomin was removing from the pan the last sunny side up egg.

" I have to tell you honestly buddies, since we are not allowed to lie...." Seb and Nomin laughed again while watching him so serious.

" Haha....what's that...share that to us so that you can unload your burden." Nomin jokily said.

" I'm pretty serious. Here, I found a calling card inside Seb's room, in your room and I can't believe what I saw." Godem stood up and deeply inhaled.

" What's that..." Seb excitingly asked. Then Karla came in to join them.

" No, nothing..." Nomin replied then urged everyone to enjoy the breakfast he had prepared.

While they were having their breakfast, Nomin looked at Seb, signaling that they have to continue their conversation with Godem after breakfast. He told him that he was doubtful that it has something to do with Karla because Godem looked worrisome. Seb agreed and the three guys were terribly silent.

" Hmm...since it's Saturday, I have to finish my laundry early for some appointments, thanks for the breakfast everyone, praise God." Karla then left.

Seb ran next to him.

"My dear, can you do the laundry inside my room's bathroom than do it outside the house....please, I'll help you finish doing it early when I get done helping Nomin and Godem at the kitchen

Seb lifted some pails and basin and transfered it all inside. After a while, Seb hurriedly proceeded to the kitchen and joined Nomin and Godem back there."

Did you put anything on the area nearby her?" Godem asked.

" Yes, I did. So what was in the card?" Seb curiously asked.

" Aha...so what's in those names that made my brain almost burst last night before I joined you at the veranda. I've heard it somewhere else, but I forgot where and when, and who they are." Seb pressed his head while Nomin stood up blankly.

" Seb, it's Karla's parents." Godem looked at him

" Now...I already have a clue. Now, it's a bit clear." Seb murmured.

" That's it...that's why the cake's taste is very familiar to me. Now this is a real war between angels and dark shadows. I guess the parents knew what's happening these days that's why Gante is sending you this message. The thing here is, they knew where the hideout of these dark shadows already, I'm sure." Godem said.
