No matter how much she was annoyed with Topher, Yvonne did not have the time to deal with him right now.
Everyone around her had their eyes wide open at the revelation that had been made.
'What else has Vonna been hiding from us?' Rutherford narrowed his eyes while wondering what more they would learn about their daughter from outsiders.
However, this was something that he would have to think about later as there was more that needed to be discussed right now.
Yvonne had no clue about her father's doubtful thoughts as she was busy glaring at Topher.
'They would have heard about it even if it wasn't from me.' The other boy shrugged while conveying his thoughts to her through the mental link between their etchers.
His justification made the child purse her lips as it was logical yet she could not help but be vexed.
Therefore, she chose to ignore him for now and deal with her family first.
"I heard that story somewhere and thought it would work well for educational purposes." She explained regarding her involvement in the play that had been enacted numerous times.
The ones who had watched that play appeared to be unconvinced as the message delivered through the heart-wrenching script was something they did not expect a mere child to have written.
However, neither Topher nor Yvonne would gain anything from fabricating the truth concerning the writer of that script.
Thus they could only wonder what else this child was capable of as they hesitantly accepted her words for now.
Marquess Samed rolled his eyes for her modesty but knew that she wasn't lying when she said that she had heard that story elsewhere.
After all, he had been present back then and they had learned about the sad story together.
'Yet I could never have thought of using it in this way... but she did.' He assigned all credit to the child's creative mind for this endeavor.
"What else did Minister Leopold reveal yesterday?" Earl Rutherford chose to get all the information he could from Topher before deciding what to do next.
Yvonne was on board with this plan as she nodded and looked back at the boy who had gotten her in trouble today.
His words from earlier were ringing in her ear but she could not suppress her anger even then.
Her anger wasn't only focused on Topher but a multitude of people around her.
Marquess Samed, the King, those Ministers who were all working diligently to speak up about her involvement in various happenings, and most importantly, in the God who had created this world in the first place.
'None of this would have happened if he had not brought me here.' She snarled at Asmodeus who was the main culprit in her heart.
However, in the next second, her conscience pricked her, reminding her that none of this would have ever been an issue if she had not agreed with Marquess Samed's idea.
When Marquess Samed had baited her into becoming the 'Hero' of the citizens by helping him in improving the policies, she knew what he was trying to do yet she had agreed to it.
Her main objective back then was to just take away a part of the reason why the two main characters of Asmodeus's script had gotten popular with the commoners.
Hilda wished to lower the devastation caused by such plagues and improve the life of the commoners after she reunited with the Prince in the Capital.
In this endeavor of hers, Prince Fritzen and Grand Duke Roschester had supported her to the very end, doing everything just to bring a smile on her face.
The success of the policies that they had brought wasn't as enormous as what Yvonne had accomplished now but they had nonetheless won the favor of the citizens.
This accolade helped Hilda gain a foothold in the noble society which had been against her in the beginning due to her lowly upbringing.
Even the King who objected to Prince Fritzen's relationship with her had to give his acquiescence after she had succeeded in this outstanding mission which made the commoners deem her their savior.
Therefore, when Yvonne had heard the Marquess trying to bribe her with the praises and blessings that she might receive for doing this, she had not shown too much interest in it at first.
However, she soon realized that she did not wish to hand over this achievement into the hands of those three from the script.
Thus with not so benevolent intentions in her mind, she had decided to help him out and at the same time snatch this accomplishment away from them in a petty attempt to get back at them.
She did not wish for the praises and popularity they gained as she had asked to remain anonymous.
All she desired was to take this chance of growing popular away from the Prince, the Grand Duke, and Hilda.
'Though my suggestions were much more useful than theirs ever were in the script.' She coaxed her heart that she had done the right thing.
While she was battling her inner conscience which was acting up right now, Topher Tanner had more to say.
"Minister Leopold also spoke about the construction of granaries that Miss Yvonne had suggested." He mentioned but this was something many people already knew of so it wasn't too shocking for them.
Tanner, St. Claire, Valente, Kiron, Samed, and even Zavanths were given this suggestion by the little girl, and following it had been a great success for them.
They had a steady resource of grains during the plague which was a godsend to them.
Topher glanced at the child who appeared to be lost in her thoughts and chose to move to the next matter.
'I still have time.' He noted as this had been the topic that he had wished to discuss with her but had been unable to do so all along.
Exercising patience, he turned his attention to the Countess as his next statement was connected to her.
"The Minister even praised the Countess for her quick thinking and generous heart." He smiled at the lady whose lips also curved into a smile.
The King had already praised Countess Raylene St. Claire right in the midst of those Ministers so it was understandable how they knew of it.
However, Raylene blushed when she heard that Minister Leopold was praising her deeds outside as well.
'The King is making his Ministers work hard.' Yvonne realized that the Ruler of their land was going ahead full steam in what he had mentioned both during their meeting with him and also the lunch with the rest of the nobles.
It was clear to see that he had revealed so much information before his three loyal subordinates and even hinted that he wished the others knew of this matter.
He hoped to prove his point that women were just as capable as men to those noblemen by doing so and also encouraging other women to rise to the occasion.
Therefore, he was not only using Yvonne but also Raylene to set an example before the rest of the noble society.
What Yvonne had inferred was right as that was indeed what King Ophire was trying to achieve through the efforts of his Ministers.
Just like Minister Leopold, the other two ministers were also embracing similar tactics to spread the word around the noble society.
Last night, while Minister Leopold had headed towards the Tanner estate, Minister Carter had gone over to visit Duke Brodie.
Meanwhile, Marquess Jace Kiron, the other minister had gone home and spoke to his wife and children regarding the same.
They had all gone to essential households from where information would most certainly trickle down to those below them and soon spread throughout their society.
Just like how Topher had appeared here to inform them of what had taken place, those who heard about it from these three ministers were doing the same elsewhere.
Therefore, by now, half of the noble society was aware of what the little girl from the St. Claire's family was capable of.
Soon the entire noble society would hear a word about it and there was nothing they could do to stop it now that the gears had been set into motion as per the King's orders.
'And he said to live your life!' Yvonne grumbled while recalling what that bird god had said to her when they had met yesterday.
Asmodeus had left her with those parting words but that seemed impossible for her after realizing that the entire noble society would soon be breathing down her neck after hearing everything she had done in the past.
The father of that child too seemed to be lost in his thoughts as he pondered on how this would affect them and their child as well.
The boys all had grave expressions as they knew that this could not be entirely good as they had witnessed the number of people who appeared to be against Yvonne and also the King's opinions due to their personal prejudices.
Even the adults could decipher the King's thoughts and the reason why his ministers had acted so quickly.
While they loved this little girl and found everything she did to be adorable and praiseworthy, not everyone would share the same sentiments as them.
There could already be people who might be plotting against Yvonne to take her down a notch which was the most troublesome matter that they needed to deal with at the earliest.
