Yvonne blushed despite hearing similar words from her family members numerous times in the past.
She admitted that her features were exquisite yet every time she was complimented, she smiled bashfully.
'I might have to be vigilant inside the Palace so I might as well enjoy this moment.' She shrugged and chose to smile without restraint in this place she called her home.
Once Raylene made sure that she had everything she needed, she brought Yvonne over to the Parlor where the father and brother were waiting for them.
The men had not been able to see the child during breakfast as Raylene and she ate in her room while they prepared for the day.
Thus, this was the first time they were seeing them today.
Raylene was in a simple peach gown while Yvonne's mint green dress was something they had not seen her wearing ever before.
"You look like a forest fairy." Howard praised her while nodding at the intelligent compliment he had come up with.
Raylene and the maids behind her giggled at these words while Yvonne curtsied in response.
"Vonny, remember to stay safe." Rutherford was now more worried than ever before.
His child was indeed like a little fairy with her hair braided and her light mint dress making her look refreshing and adorable.
"Especially from anybody who tries to abduct you." He muttered, hinting at the incident that had taken place during their meeting with the King.
Raylene choked at his words while Yvonne's smile faded away in the next instant.
How could they not understand the meaning hidden behind his seemingly innocent advice?
Thus, the Countess glared at her husband for speaking words that might be considered to be disrespectful towards their King.
However, only she was the one who felt that way as Howard and Yvonne both nodded in acceptance of his words.
"I shall be careful, Papa." She declared in a firm voice as that was a given even if he had not mentioned it.
Yvonne's only goal for the day was to spend time in the Rose Palace which was the venue for the Princess's tea party and return home without attracting too much attention from anyone else who resided there.
Her determined expression brought a sense of security to the father who was worried that the King might snatch his daughter away as he had done on that day.
He was about to say a few more words of caution when he found his wife glaring at him.
Deciding to not anger her any longer, he only smiled at her and remained silent.
'Make sure you do not contact Demon while inside the Palace.' He reminded her by using Fryght and Demon's mental link.
Yvonne understood why he had said so and also grasped why her father had not just said those words out loud.
Glancing up she found her mother narrowing her eyes as she glared at the tall man which made her giggle, noticing how bold and dominant her mother had now become.
'I like her better this way.' She smiled in appreciation before giving her father a nod without letting the glaring woman notice it.
This answer calmed his mind and he announced that it was time for the child to make her move now.
The family escorted her to the carriage prepared for her where she found Demon waiting as well.
"I will be back soon." She patted his head as she could not take him along with her no matter how much he pleaded with his eyes.
'Does he think he looks cute?' Rutherford rolled his eyes at the fierce beast who was pretending to be pitiful before the child.
Yvonne was adamant about not taking Demon along as one of her carriage horses because the Palace was a dangerous place.
None of this would have happened if only Demon had known where she was headed.
If he knew then he would be the first one to announce that he was better off at home.
After all, that was the scary place where he had escaped from after many struggles, and going back there would be the last thing he would have wanted.
Thankfully, Yvonne refused him right away and boarded the large carriage her father had prepared for her.
The symbol of the St. Claire family was present on the side of the vehicle which allowed those who caught sight of it to know who might be inside.
As the rest of the family watched, the carriage began moving away from the mansion and vanished from their sight within a few seconds.
___
Yvonne sat alone inside the carriage and glanced outside the window at the view of the different noble estates that were situated between the St. Claire estate and the entrance of the Royal Palace grounds.
Since she was invited to the Princess's tea party, it was obvious that she could not take anyone else along with her.
Not even a maid from the other noble families could enter this place as only those whose names were mentioned on the invitation were being let inside.
When the carriage of the St. Claire family stopped at the entrance of the Palace grounds, the Royal guards checked the invitation which was in the hands of the coach driver.
Like the last time she had come here, the guards first checked the carriage before letting it inside.
'Here again...' She clenched and relaxed her fists repeatedly as the horses moved slowly after entering the Palace grounds.
Once they had reached the Main Palace which was the last point where any outside carriages were allowed, she alighted with the help of a maid waiting for her there.
Each young miss who arrived in succession was assigned a maid who would guide them to the place where they would find the Princess waiting for them.
These maids had been trained by Governess Bloom and the Royal Steward so they knew the names and the faces of each of the misses who would be here today.
Every time a new young miss arrived, a maid would lead her inside, and considering that only a few maids were left waiting, Yvonne assumed that many had appeared before her.
Yesterday, she had asked her tutor to give her the names of those who were on the Princess's guest list and true to his promise, he had reached back to her after an hour.
As she walked with the maid leading her to the Rose Palace, the child recalled the names she had gained yesterday.
Among the obvious names were Rika Kiron and Glennise Brodie, the playmates of the Princess.
Others were the daughters of the Marquesses, Earls like her and Mae Blaise, and finally, Silvia Zavanth who was the only girl among the Viscount families
The last time Princess Felicia had hosted a tea party, it was for her birthday but only the daughters of the Duke and Marquesses had been invited.
Yvonne was still unaware that the future Grand Duke of this Kingdom had a part to play in the decision-making process for that party.
She had rejoiced back then for not being invited but it looked like she wasn't as lucky this time as she was also included in the guest list.
Just as she let out a sigh, the maid glanced down at her and smiled gently.
"We are almost there, Young Miss." She assured her, surmising that the child was tired after walking the distance between the Main Palace and the Rose Palace.
Yvonne did not correct the misunderstanding and only nodded her head before glancing at the routes ahead of her.
As they passed through a certain path, her amethyst eyes narrowed and her vigilance rose to greater heights.
'That's the way to the Pig Prince's Palace.' She glanced sideways to a turn in the path ahead of them.
This caused her to recall the incident where a maid had tricked her by leading her to the Sycamore Palace where she had been confronted by the Prince of this Kingdom.
Her clenched fists relaxed when this maid did not make any turns and continued on the same path which she knew would lead them to the Rose Palace.
Yvonne did not drop her vigilance but watched where she was going.
Since her attention had been focused on their path, she had not noticed the pairs of eyes that were watching her every move.
Oblivious to gaze aimed at her, she strode away in the direction of the Rose Palace.
'Finally!' She exhaled when they reached the entrance of the Palace without any deviations.
