Jaane stripped naked and gave Kain her clothes including her underwear. Kain already took off his clothes before she did. He then casted [Conjure Skeleton Warrior] twice to conjure two Skeletons. Kain made a Skeleton wore his clothes while making the other Skeleton wore Jaane’s clothes. Kain then commanded the Skeleton that wore Kain’s clothes to run South while the other one ran North while Kain and Jaane fled West. After about two minutes of running, Kain found a perfect spot for the next step. He pushed Jaane down on the bush nearby then collected fallen leaves from a nearby gigantic tree and dumped them on her. Kain then dove into the leaves and laid on top of Jaane’s body while signaling for her to remain silent.
Kain didn’t say anything to explain his action, but Jaane could somewhat guess it. Kain wanted the Skeletons to run in two different directions to confuse the Black Panther while he and Jaane hid here, in the bush, under many leaves. Because Vedas is a Black Panther, it would be able to pick up Kain’s smell off of his clothes to chase toward the South. Or it can choose to chase toward the North for the new scent, which belonged to Jaane.
Either Kain was very unlucky or the Black Panther Vedas was too smart. It didn’t follow either Skeleton and ran straight toward the West direction after defeating Fenwi and the Phantom Leech. Well, to be fair. Vedas commanded Amdusias to chase toward the South while having her Four Wings Angel chased toward the North. So Kain’s plan worked somewhat. After following the scent toward the West by flying, Vedas noticed the scent was cut off. He landed next to the gigantic tree to think about what he should do while calculating the remaining status of his mana pool.
Meanwhile, Kain and Jaane who were hiding in the bush could clearly see Vedas was standing approximately a hundred feet nearby. Kain could control his breathing perfectly while Jaane kept breathing heavier and heavier doesn’t matter how hard she tried not to. Afraid of being heard, Kain used his left hand to covered Jaane’s mouth and nose to stopped her from breathing. After five seconds or so, Kain removed his left hand from Jaane’s mouth and nose because he realized that was a very stupid move. If Jaane couldn’t breathe, she would die; or worst-case scenario, her survival instinct would kick in to make Jaane struggling which will create a much louder noise compared to her heavy breathing. If time was on his side, Kain would be smart enough to think of a different way to handle this. But because it required instant reaction, Kain did a very stupid thing that he shouldn’t have.
Kain kissed Jaane’s lips hoping to calm her down. He had never kiss any girl before, not even Sofia who he had been hanging out with for the past ten years. That is why Kain was confused about why Jaane didn’t calm down like he was expected. Jaane didn’t scream, her breathing wasn’t as loud as it was before, but her heartbeat kept beating faster and louder. Doesn’t know what else he should do, Kain used his right hand to covered Jaane’s heart by placing it on her left breast in an attempt of lowering the noise of her heartbeat down while continued to seal Jaane’s lips through his kiss. Both Kain and Jaane opened their eyes widely to look at each other then turned toward Vedas to check if he could have suspected them hiding in here.
Vedas thought that he heard a heartbeat somewhere nearby but couldn’t determine an exact location. He was checking around to see where the heartbeat came from but then Amdusias ran toward him and said, “I spotted him, two miles toward the South. I have told my Four Wings Angel to abandon chasing toward the North and headed South.” Vedas was happy to hear that, he immediately followed Amdusias toward the South direction to catch up to the Skeleton who was wearing Kain’s clothes.
A minute after Vedas and Amdusias left, Kain got up from the bush, grabbed Jaane’s left hand using his right hand, and continued running toward the West back to their old camp. Kain didn’t apologize or attempted to explain what he just did to Jaane. Kain continued to act normal but his mind was spinning all over the place thinking about there could be ten other ways to better handle the situation. Jaane on the other hand was very calm and didn’t blame him for what he did. In fact, she was hoping that Vedas would remain there a little bit longer so she could enjoy the intimate moment she had with Kain longer as well. She was too excited earlier which made her heart beat faster and louder. But If it happens again, Jaane would be able to control her heartbeat to remain normal.
After arriving back at the camp, Kain said, “Get dressed quickly then we will head South from here to catch up with the other groups.”
Jaane softly answered, “...Yes.” Kain and Jaane then went into their tents to dress up using their spare clothes.
After Kain and Jaane dressed up, they met outside of their tents and were about to run toward the South as planned. But then Kain said, “This isn’t right. None of my Skeletons were killed yet.”
“Could it be that your Skeleton has outrun them?” Jaane slapped herself in the mouth after asking such a stupid question.
“It doesn’t matter, let’s-” Kain couldn’t finish his sentence when he saw Vedas, in his Black Panther form, slowly approaching the camp.
“I know you will be here. Do you think that you can fool me by using a Skeleton to wear your clothes?” Vedas asked in a tired voice.
Kain looked around and saw Vedas was by himself. Amdusias and her Four Wings Angel Warrior weren’t here with him. Kain laughed as he asked, “Stupid beast, where is your Demon Lord? Why are you here by yourself? Let me answer it for you. Your mana pool is near depletion and you could no longer maintain your [Demon Anatomy V] form or keeping a Demon Lord being summoned. Do you think that you can defeat me now? Especially in that shitty condition?”
“Blood Mage, you know nothing about me. I reserved my mana pool because I no longer needed assistance from a Demon Lord. I dare you to summon any more creatures to fight me, my [Puppeteer] would be able to control them all. If you decide to transform into the Flesh Monster as you have done earlier, my [Demon Anatomy I] form is strong enough to tear you apart.”
Jaane couldn’t believe what she had heard. She turned toward Kain and asked, “Blood Mage? Flesh Monster? Kain…?”
