Book 2: Chapter 7 (4/9)

“It seems like the speed and strength of my legs has remarkably improved.” Kain thought to himself.

After blocking for more than thirty kicks from Jael using his legs, Kain switched to using his arms to block Jael's attacks. “As I have thought, the speed and strength of my arms have amazingly increased as well.”

Kain asked, “Why wouldn't you use your fists to attack me? Why do you, Urien, and even Xenos only use legs for physical attacks instead?”

While continuing kicking Kain repeatedly using all of his might, Jael answered, “The strength of our arms and fists are weak unless we use human blood to enhance them.”

“Hmm, let me try to attack you once.” Kain then squeezed his fist and threw a powerful punch toward Jael. Jael used his right leg to block Kain's attack but his right leg ended up being broken as he was pushed back fifty feet away.

Kain thought, “My punch didn’t use any human blood or mana at all. It seems to have drained some of my stamina instead. Since now that I have reached the Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior in physical strength, will my physical attack power increase if I use [Demon Anatomy I]? What if I use [Demon Anatomy II] or [Demon Anatomy III]?”

Kain wanted to test how strong his physical power is going to be after transforming into a big-size demon using [Demon Anatomy II]. But Kain afraid his attack may be too strong for Jael to handle and could end up killing him instead. Kain allowed Jael to heal his leg using [Cure] and then said, “I will allow you to kick at me in the stomach. Aim for my stomach only, not my head. If you aim for my head, I will kill you.”

Jael then threw another mighty kick toward Kain’s stomach but this time he put much more stamina into it. To Jael’s surprise, Kain didn’t get pushed back like he was expecting. “Come on man, kick me harder.” Kain said in a disappointing tone. Jael continuously kicked Kain in the stomach fifty-eight more times and only stopped after Kain said, “Enough. I started to feel some pain now.”

Kain thought to himself, “I obviously have gained an incredible strength after eating the Vampire Emperor’s heart. But why couldn’t I cast any Blood Magic? What if I cast Vampire Lord’s spells such as [Enclosing]?”

Kain chanted for the [Enclosing] spell but still couldn’t cast it. After thinking about it for a minute, Kain commanded the Ancient Vampires that were working for the Vampire Emperor, “Can y’all show me where Xenos Heliot stored human blood at?”

After being guided to the Blood Storage Room, an Ancient Vampire said, “All the jars in here contained human blood. Do you want to drink it with rum or wine?”

“Rum or wine? Isn’t it the same thing?” Kain observed the reaction from other Ancient Vampires when he asked this question and thought to himself, “Maybe rum and wine are two different things in this world. Or maybe I was wrong since I don't drink alcohol and don't know any difference between rum and wine.”

Kain said, “I don’t drink alcohol, just give me a human blood jar.”

An Ancient Vampire handed Kain a human blood jar and he immediately poured it down his throat. “I felt it now.” Kain thought to himself as he felt the human blood he consumed was stored inside the left part of his stomach. He then activated [Enclosing] spell and a zone sealed by a circular magical barrier to prevent anyone or any creature from coming in or coming out was created. The Ancient Vampires were freaking out as they saw the [Enclosing] sealed them inside facing Kain. They thought that Kain was about to butcher them all but he calmly said, “No worry. I was just testing it.” Kain deactivated [Enclosing] and the magical barrier faded away. Even after hearing Kain explained, an Ancient Vampire still fell on the ground trembling in fear.

Kain activated the [Infused Blood] spell again and attempted to tap into his Blood Pendant but it still didn't work. Kain chanted and then casted [Vampiric Swarm] spell and he has successfully transformed into a swarm of bats as expected. Kain deactivated [Vampiric Swarm] and asked, “Can y’all transform into a swarm of bats like I just did?”

“No, sir.” A female Ancient Vampire answered.

Kain laughed out loud like a mad man and thought to himself, “I understand now. By eating the Vampire Emperor’s heart, I have gained his strength as an Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior. Not only that, I have gained three extra health pools and eight blood pools inside my stomach. No wonder why my stomach was in pain earlier because it was being molded to match with the Vampire Emperor's stomach. I can still use almost all Blood Magic spells but can no longer use [Infused Blood] as a side effect. Hmm, that is such a bad side effect though. If it's a permanent side effect, that would be bad. I have a Magical Robe embedded with six Magical Blood Stones, a Blood Ring, and a Blood Pendant. Those items will be useless if...”

Kain asked the Ancient Vampires, “One of you tell me how to use [Cure] ability.”

The female Ancient Vampire that answered his question earlier showed Kain how to use [Cure]. She then explained to him the difference between Vampire Emperor’s Wings and other Vampires’ Wings. Vampires, Ancient Vampires, Vampire Nobles, even Vampire Lords from Toria Continents have similar wings. But the Vampire Emperor’s Vampire Wings are thrice thicker. Because of that, the Vampire Emperor only grew his wings out when needed.

“How do I grow my Vampire Wings?” Kain asked.

"Just visualize in your head that a pair of wings growing out from your back. And whenever you are done using it, just visualize it no longer there." The female Ancient Vampire said.

Kain visualized a pair of wings growing out from his back and he immediately felt the wings appeared and connected to his back. He flexed it several times before starting flying around the castle to test it out. Kain thought, “This is great! It uses stamina and doesn’t use any mana at all. From now on I can fly as much as I wanted to without worrying about my mana pool.”

Jael was crying inside as he heard Kain was laughing out loud in happiness. He shook his head and whispered, “You can grow to be stronger, but I can’t. Why would you have to steal the Emperor’s heart from me? I can be an excellent Emperor and wouldn’t abuse my power as Xenos did.”

“Nice... Looks like my hearing and vision are all improved too. I can hear this fool bitched about how I stole the Emperor’s heart from him. By this rate, I won’t need the [Wind Detection] and [Whispering Wind] spells from my Wind Walker anymore.” Kain thought to himself after hearing Jael bitched in a whispering tone.
