Book 2: Chapter 9 (1/9)

Name:Twin Soul Author:Zskyph
All of Etgar’s Blood Equipment have finally reached depletion, but his mana pool was still full. Even so, as a level 53 Blood Wind Mage, Etgar won’t dare to fight with those powerful Lords of the Colors without using Blood Equipment. The real Etgar deactivated all of his clones created by [Replica] spells. Wrenn, Larissa, and Bohdan expected this would happen and they quickly left the Blood Mages Guild’s secret hideout. Each of them then carried some corpses and successfully escaped. But more than forty percent of the Members and Executioners from their Colors were still buried deep inside the ruined Blood Mages Guild's underground palace. After meeting up with Lord Fosnes of the Purple above the ground, they were glad to see he and his Members have rescued about ten percent magic casters using [Teleportation] spells. This made their casualty drop to only thirty percent instead of forty percent as Wrenn's thought.

“Damn it!” Wrenn yelled out loud. “How can they know that we are going to attack today and laid out such a trap to take down thirty percent of our magic casters? More predominantly, who would be powerful enough to cast the ice blockage to seal off the exit and continuously drop giant ice blocks from the sky creating massive earthquakes?”

“It was because of me.” A man flying above them using a pair of Ice Wings calmly said as he threw ten more giant ice blocks down toward Wrenn. Wrenn quickly destroyed those giant ice blocks using [Fire Missile] spells to protect his allies from getting hurt.

The man landed on the ground, smiled, and greeted everyone, “Hello worthless pieces of shit, long time no see.” The man said using a cocky tone.

There is only one Saint Ice Mage in this world who can fly through his self-created Saint-tier Ice Magic spell named [Ice Wings], and his name is Adrik Volsky. Not only did [Ice Wings] allow Adrik to fly, but it protects him from physical and magical attacks as well by working as his shield at all times after being activated. Adrik was a level 100 Saint Ice Mage, Solo Executioner that served no Lord in the Mages Council. One day, he was caught trying to steal the Magical Key to the Dungeon with difficulty rated ten from the Holy Mage, Gwenn Bigham. Rumors have said Dungeon rated with difficulty ten has great rewards including chances to become a God-tier in an instant, but that was just rumored.

This Magical Key was passed down from one Holy Mage to the next Holy Mage and can only be used to unlock a Dungeon once per calendar (once every a million years). Since Dungeon with a difficulty rated ten allowed only a Thirteenth Stage Saint Warrior or Level 100 Mage to participate, only one person can be chosen among powerful level 100 magic casters in the Mages Council to enter. There was an incident that occurred making Adrik feel like it wasn't fair for him because it was supposed to be his term to enter the Dungeon, that was why he decided to steal the Magical Key. After Adrik successfully escaped from Flumen city, he has been listed down as one of the most dangerous Rogue Mages of all time. This incident happened over two thousand five hundred years ago.

“Look at you pathetic Lords of the Colors. So sad to see how the Mages Council has turned out after I left. If I was still being a Solo Executioner, then I should refer you guys as Lord Wrenn Fasketel of the Red, Lord Oleos Fosnes of the Purple, Lord Gerda Mork of the Blue, Lord Dasha Vaelbe of the White, Lord Larissa Krasnaia of the Black, and Lord Bohdan Brish of the Green. But because I am just a Rogue Mage now, I shall refer you guys as pieces of shit.” Adrik jokingly said.

Out of all of these magic casters, only Wrenn has reached level 100 in magical power. Even so, Wrenn knew his power can’t be compared to a living Legend such as Adrik Volsky. If being compared to Lord Noe Clerico of the Gray, or Lord Kath Donoghan of the Brown, Adrik Volsky won’t fall behind any of them. He alone is power. He alone can kill countless magic casters in the Mages Council and fly out of Flumen city like it was nothing. Despite having tremendous fear in his heart, Wrenn still acts tough as the leader.

Wrenn said, “Lords, escape with the surviving members and Executioners out of here. I will hold him back.”

Other Lords didn’t want to leave Wrenn alone by himself fighting with Adrik, but they know their current magical power won’t be enough to help out anything. Just when they were about to flee, Lord Kath Donoghan of the Brown showed up.

Lord Vaelbe asked in a happy tone, “Lord Donoghan, why are you here? I thought you have to assist the Holy Mage with the interrogation of the suspected Blood Mages?”

Lord Krasnaia said, “Be careful, there could be a Blood Mage that can use Black Magic to transform into Lord Donoghan using [Shapeshifting] spell.”

Lord Donoghan was surprised to see the state of panic the other Lords including Saint-tier Members and Executioners of the Colors expressed. She said, “I have a bad feeling that something bad may happen and asked the Holy Mage to let me go look after you guys. What happened here? Did we successfully defeat the Blood Mages Guild?”

Before Kath could receive an answer from one of the Lord, her eyes opened wide when she saw Adrik. Kath said out loud in an angry tone, “No need to tell me anything now. From my observation, the poor state you guys are in letting me know that you have failed the mission. This must be the doing of that traitor! Lord Fasketel, lead other Lords and other magic casters out of here. I will deal with that Rogue Mage by myself!”

Kath immediately casted one of her self-created Saint-tier Earth Magic spells named [Clay Dragon Knights] to create at least two hundred Dragon Knights made out of clay. Each Clay Dragon Knight has the power of a Fifth Stage Saint Warrior. However, because they are not real Demi-Humans, none of them can use any special abilities that an actual Dragon Knight can use. But because Clay Dragon Knights are created using magic, they can instantly recover themselves using Kath's mana after being crushed to dust by the enemies. Kath commanded her Clay Dragon Knights to fly toward Adrik to attack him. Adrik laughed at Kath’s [Clay Dragon Knights] spell as he casted a self-created Saint-tier Ice Magic spell named [Summon Giant Guardian].

Similar to [Summon Ice Guardian], but the Giant Guardian has a mana pool a hundred times larger compared to Ice Guardian in terms of Ice Magic casting. More importantly, the Giant Guardian possessed a physical strength comparable to an Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior while having the ability cast up to level 50 Legend-tier Ice Magic spells. Seeing the fight between Kath Donoghan and Adrik Volsky amazed other magic casters. But they can’t remain in the danger zone any longer, Wrenn gave the commands for other Lords to lead Members and Executioners of their Colors toward Lastown city to rest until their mana pools are recovered.
