"Taio, where did you see these words?." Liu Longwei asked as he pointed at his scribbles.
Although the handwriting wasn't so pretty and was about messily, still, it was easy to recognize the pure Chinese characters written on the paper.
In reply to his father's curious question, Taio pointed at the box lying in one corner of the room.
There was nothing personal about the box, but Chen Lihua guessed he must have seen the words there, so she walked the small box and turned it over.
Discovering it was a toy box, she brought it over with a smile on her face.
"It looks like he got the words from here." Chen Lihua concluded after seeing the same words Taio wrote down on the box.
Liu Longwei took the box from her and glanced at it. Then glancing back at Chen Lihua with a smile, he said as he put the box away.
"Looks like we have another genius in the house."
"And it looks like we have a lot of work to do." Chen Lihua added with a smile.
Their attention was drawn back to Taio who put his pencil on his desk and folded his arms with pouted lips.
"Liu Wei, that's an address for one of your toys, it says it was made in ****** China." Liu Longwei explained the words he put down as he showed him the toy box.
Taio nodded as he finally stopped pouting.
"Taio, can you write what is written on Daddy's shirt?." Chen Lihua asked as she began to test him.
"Mmm... I can try." Taio said after glancing at his father's shirt and looking back at his mother's anticipating look.
The words on Liu Longwei's shirt were written in English, and they were three-letter words.
"Do you think he can do it?." Liu Longwei whispered to Chen Lihua, and their little guy moved his attention to his book and started scribbling.
"I don't know. He doesn't know the Chinese characters too well, but he can copy the words he glanced at. Maybe he can do the same with the English letters. He doesn't know them, but maybe he can still copy them after taking a few seconds glance at them." Chen Lihua whispered back to him.
"I see..." Liu Longwei said as he trailed off.
After scribbling down the words he saw on his father's shirt, Taio sighed before putting his pencil down, and Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei's attention went back to him.
Seeing the exact letters on his book, Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei glanced at themselves before turning to praise Taio.
"Taio, it looks like your life would be very busy from now onwards." Chen Lihua said to the little guy as she rubbed his head.
"We don't want his IQ to waste right?." Liu Longwei asked.
"Right! I just wanted him to have a lot of fun as a toddler, and then when he gets older, he can learn things at a slow pace. But looks like he is way smarter than other children of his age." Chen Lihua said with a little regret as she c.a.r.e.s.sed Taio's face.
"Our son is a genius, and as parents, we are going to do the best we can." Liu Longwei said as he comforted her.
Smiling, Chen Lihua said, "No wonder he is so stubborn and naughty."
Liu Longwei chuckled as Taio frowned a little.
"Taio, come to the mat and play this game with us." Liu Longwei said after he sprayed a mat in the middle of the room while Chen Lihua picked out a puzzle they were going to play with.
Taio walked over and sat on the mat. So the big man, big woman, and little man surrounded the puzzle.
Liu Longwei read out the instructions from the pack to their hearing, while Chen Lihua picked out the picture puzzle and scattered it all over the mat, as Taio paid attention to his parents.
Liu Longwei was indirectly teaching Taio to read packets or packages of anything, before making use of it. He was teaching him to follow instructions.
This may not seem like a big deal, but he was trying to teach his son to do the right thing when he could have easily said told him how to play the game without reading the instructions on the paper.
After reading out the instructions, Liu Longwei kept the cover aside and helped Chen Lihua to set the outer layer where the picture puzzle will be arranged.
With Taio sitting in the middle, he watched his parent's actions.
After getting everything reading, Chen Lihua showed Taio the picture they were going to put together.
"Taio, we are going to fix the puzzles together to form this picture, who while trying to fix the picture puzzle, we are going to be looking at this to get everything right." Chen Lihua said to him, and he nodded in response.
So, began Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei as they began to teach Taio how to play the puzzle. The family of three played the puzzle together three times before Taio was able to fix everything by himself.
"We have to get a tutor for him after watching him for a month." Chen Lihua said to Liu Longwei.
"Why a month, is it not too far?." Liu Longwei asked.
"Not really, but I just want us to give him a little time to spend time with us. I want to understand my son very well before another person comes to take over with tutoring him." Chen Lihua explained.
"Okay, I understand you. We will do as you said. I want to get the best tutor for him, so I will be on the lookout. Should we get a male or a female tutor for him?." Liu Longwei asked, seeking Chen Lihua's opinion.
"I have no idea. Let's talk about this later." Chen Lihua said while looking away.
"Maybe a female tutor will be good, let's get one that is experienced." Liu Longwei suggested.
"You mean someone older?." Chen Lihua asked with her gaze on him.
"Not necessarily older, but someone m.a.t.u.r.e and experienced, I think that should be okay." Liu Longwei replied.
