"Can I afford that?" Cheng Xiu asked.
[Player's current income is: 200 crystals, 204000 gold, 20 silver, 10 copper.]
Cheng Xiu took a deep breath and selected to proceed to pay.
She felt the mask on her face disappear and instead of it, a new, cooler feeling appeared. It would seem that she was able to afford a lot of things.
She smiled as she looked at the clone once more. She looked far cooler than before. Even enchanting.
Cheng Xiu changed her hairstyle to open hair, with the hair dressings changing to a deep red colour.
Cheng Xiu finished things up and returned to the Viridian Forest.
It was daytime now in the game world, and everything looked vibrant and beautiful.
Cheng Xiu smiled.
Her eyes fell on the two figures sitting under a tree, talking.
Cheng Xiu immediately recognised the two as San Zhe and Yaksha.
Cheng Xiu rushed towards them.
San Zhe looked at the approaching figure with caution.
Yaksha stood up. "Miss Selafia."
San Zhe's eyes widened at his greeting.
"Sister Xiu!" San Zhe said in a worried voice.
Yaksha looked at her with a disappointed face.
"What?" cheng Xiu asked in confusion.
"How can you just leave like that!" San Zhe asked. "Didn't' the doctor already tell you that you have to be careful at this time?"
Cheng Xiu frowned. "what?"
"You are not supposed to play for a few more days!" San Zhe said with a glare.
Cheng Xiu looked down at her feet in guilt. She had forgotten.
"Sister Xiu!"
Cheng Xiu sighed. "I am sorry. I forgot."
"That is good then," san Zhe said with a sigh. "The quickly log out then!"
Cheng Xiu shook her head. "I feel fine though."
"And how long do you think that would last?" yaksha finally said to her.
Cheng Xiu finally looked up at him.
Phoenix eyes locked on to dark deep-set eyes.
"I am much more sturdy than I look."
"You are supposed to be intelligent."
"You are a very rude person."
"And you are a very forgetful one. Or uncaring," Yaksha said, his eyes not leaving hers. "Only someone who did not care about the people who would worry about them would still insist on playing a VR even after the doctors said to take a break."
Cheng Xiu glared. "You don't have a right to judge me."
"Maybe not, but I do have a right to speak out my opinion of what I think about this unreasonable behaviour of yours."
Cheng Xiu sighed. "Hey, anyway. I am Selafia…I mean SelaXiu…but you already know that."
Yaksha frowned. "Your memories are jumbled?"
Cheng Xiu frowned in return. "I suppose it is. I had not considered it before. I guess it will take some time to reach my former glory."
"You can rest for a few days," Yasha advised, "it would allow you to reach your former glory sooner."
Cheng Xiu smirked, even though he could not see it. "I am fine. Thanks for the advice though."
San Zhe looked at the two people. Why did the atmosphere between these two seem a bit too charged? Was he being fed some kind of dog food without knowing?
"I know my limits better than most people," Cheng Xiu said to Yaksha. "It is just that, the Deep Dive was far too unexpected and I had already lost my reasoning to some extent."
Yaksha sighed. "Very well. If you think so. I am nobody to force you to do something you don't want to do."
Cheng Xiu smiled.
"You can't be serious," San Zhe said in shock.
Cheng Xiu looked towards him in anger. "San Zhe. Shut up."
San Zhe was shocked at the harsh tone in Cheng Xiu's voice.
"What happened?" Yaksha asked Cheng Xiu.
Cheng Xiu blinked and looked at him in confusion. "what?"
"You are angry about something and are taking it out on San Zhe. What is bothering you?"
Cheng Xiu left out a sigh. "something very personal."
Yaksha nodded in understanding and did not push her for more information.
San Zhe looked at Cheng Xiu for a moment and then thought of something. "Miss Gu still hasn't contacted you?"
Cheng Xiu snorted. "I called her."
San Zhe guessed that the talk did not go the way that Cheng Xiu had thought it would go, and the two friends must have had a fight over the phone.
He wasn't' sure what he felt at the moment. This Gu Shu did not seem to be that great of a person.
"Anyway!" Cheng Xiu said, "where should we go, now that we are here anyway."
San Zhe sighed. "Sister Xiu…are you sure you should be playing this game."
Cheng Xiu nodded her head. "Yes. I want to."
"Do you have any business in the forest when you came here?" Yasha asked.
Cheng Xiu looked at him in confusion. "what?"
"When you were forced to fight with the experts," Yaksha explained.
Cheng Xiu's eyes widened in enlightenment. She turned to San Zhe in excitement. "That is right, Brother San! We still haven't done the Rat Pit Quest!"
San Zhe frowned as worry rose in his heart. Cheng Xiu was a bit too emotional today, which was not what he had seen from her so far. She seemed like the quietly contemplating type than the sugar rush attitude that she was showing them at the moment.
It was either because of the Deep Dive damage or it had something to do with Gu Shu.
Seeing that he was with her for the past few days and she had not shown this kind of an attitude before, he decided that it had something to do with Gu Shu.
He was surprised by the amount he was able to figure out about Cheng Xiu after just a few days of interacting with her.
Cheng Xiu was not that complicated a person although she was an S-ranked genius. It put him in a weird mindset that Gu Shu had this level of impact on Cheng Xiu's mood.
"she is your best friend, correct?" Yaksha asked Cheng Xiu.
Cheng Xiu frowned. "Who?"
"This Miss Gu that San Zhe was talking about."
The scowl on her face became deeper. "How did you know?"
"I didn't. I just made an educated guess and asked you about it."
Cheng Xiu nodded. "yes. She is."
Yaksha looked at her for a moment, his thoughts a mystery to the two of the Qiless in his company.
"then let us go to complete this Quest of yours," Yaksha said with a small smile. 2but you have to promise me that you will log out after that."
"Okay!"
"Let us leave then," Yaksha sadi to San Zhe.
San Zhe gave him a dazed nod.
