Cheng Xiu ran towards the shield with the Ghost flame surrounding her sword flaring. She hit the shield with all her might and created a large chasm in the shield.
The NPC backed away in shock. "Impossible! How can it be! The Azure Shield should have been able to block you!"
Cheng Xiu smiled. Shielding against the Ghost Flame was very difficult. It could only be done by using special Heavenly Fires. The reason was simple. The Ghost Flame could only be controlled under the principle of fighting fire with fire. And it was only possible if the Qi of the attacking flame was not eaten by the Ghost Flame, which was a very difficult thing to do.
Cheng Xiu ran towards the woman at high speed, her sword aimed at the NPC's heart.
The NPC quickly cancelled the Qi supply that she was giving the Spell book to create the shield around her and activated another Spell.
Mud emerged from the ground in front of her, and began to take the shape of a being.
Cheng Xiu skidded to a halt as the mud molds turned into large rats holding hammers.
Cheng Xiu blinked. So that was how those things were created.
Cheng Xiu moved off at a high speed.
Though her movements were slower than when she was in the Barbaric Mode, She made up for it by umping her skills. Her movements were more precise and dealt heavy blows on her opponents without much hassle.
San Zhe was surprised by that.
He had thought that she would be at a disadvantage because she was moving at a lower speed than before, but as it turned out, her attacks were even more ruthless and purposeful.
There was also another advantage to her having access to her logical side. She was able to use the sword copies to the precision that was only possible if she was concentrating on it.
Cheng Xiu beheaded the creatures faster than his eyes could track her using the Sword copies as a distraction.
The NPC woman backed away in fear at the vicious human cultivator in front of her. She glared at the woman who was her mirror image. "You told me that this was a good idea!"
The right NPC looked at her in surprise. "What?"
"Weren't you the one who suggested that eating the cores of the Human cultivators would get us the favour of the King! Look what is happening! That woman is demolishing the Mud Rats!"
Cheng Xiu sweatdropped when she heard what the woman called the Bulky Rats that she had just annihilated. Mud Rats? That sounded more like some kind of weird internet fake name, a band name or some kind of a weird novel title. It did not conform with the images of the Hammer wielding rats that she was fighting with.
"How is it my fault!" the second NPC screamed at her sister. "You were the one who suggested that we attack these humans! I did not want to! I said we had to let the counsellors handle this one but you were too proud of yourself! Now look it got you!"
"Me!" the Left NPC screamed. "It was you! I always-"
The NPC did not get to finish her words as three flying swords impaled her torso.
She looked down in horror.
A ball of black fire collided with the Spell Book in her hand and burned into ashes.
The woman looked on with a silent scream as the fire quickly spread down to her arms and to her entire bodies.
Cheng Xiu blinked as the NPC turned into ashes.
That was easy. Far too easy. She was sure that the NPC would have some kind of protection on her but in the end it turned out that she didn't and she was dead just like that.
Cheng Xiu had forgotten that she was playing against Low Level Dungeon NPCs and not high level players who would have the means to do such things.
Cheng Xiu pursed her lips and frowned. It just occurred to her that she had killed a living thing again. And this time it was someone who looked too human. Wasn't the NPC woman a Rat Mistress? Why did she look so human? Why didn't she turn into a rat?
Was she not a rat then? Was the NPC like that NPC that she had met in the Deep Dive. What was her name?...Right! Jin Er! That woman was delusional enough to fall in love with a troll who was planning to eat her for its dinner. Was this woman the same? Was she also someone who fell in love with a rat?
Cheng Xiu felt complicated in her heart. Why did it seem that the Jin Er was far more logical all of a sudden? At least the Trolls were always the Trolls. But the rats…they were rats before! Rodents!
Would the woman kiss the Rat?
Cheng Xiu shuddered at the thought. She would never understand how one could love a Rodent as a Lover. That was on a Level of creepy that she was not wishing to be a part of, thank you very much.
There was a gurgling sound.
Cheng Xiu blinked and tore her mind away from the weird thoughts that it had taken the train to ride and looked towards the right.
The second NPC who kept copying the first was impaled on a Trident.
Cheng Xiu looked towards San Zhe who kept staring at the woman in front of him.
Cheng Xiu was just about to call him out when he pulled out the trident in his hand and impaled the Spell Book in the NPC's hand instead.
The spell book spilled blood and disappeared.
The NPC screamed and started to transform. Her skin started to bubble like the surface of boiling water and blood oozed out. The sound of cracks echoed in the space around them as the bones of the woman broke…though…the creature in front of her could no longer even be called a woman.
Fine black fur started to grow out of the bubbling parts of the creature's skin, and finally the woman transformed completely into a rat.
Cheng Xiu stepped away in distaste.
So that was how these women looked as rats. She had killed hers by burning it into ashes, and so it made sense that she would not have a chance to turn into a rat before her.
And Cheng Xiu really wished she did not have a chance to witness the change.. That transformation was just to nasty.
