Chapter 190 - Heart Piercing

Da Hua pouted at Cheng Xiu's words.

"And now here we are!"

Cheng Xiu shrugged. Her eyes held a curious light. "Say…what is with that weird Footsteps effect? What do you intend by doing that kind of a spell?"

"Create a sense of horror," Da Hua said to her bluntly. "Why else?"

Xiao Hua's eyebrow twitched. This silly sister of his! Why was she so naïve!

"So it was you guys who did that effect," Cheng Xiu said with a smile.

Da Hua's eyes reddened at the corners, looking like Cheng Xiu had bullied her. "Brother! This woman made me reveal our secrets!"

San Zhe blinked. Brother? What?

Xiao Hua rolled his eyes at Da Hua. "Da Hua, if it was not for you, would the girl know such things? Why are you so stupid at times?"

Da Hua looked at her brother with grievance in her eyes.

"Brother…"

San Zhe nudged Cheng Xiu's side with his elbow. "Hey, sister Xiu…how do you know them?"

Cheng Xiu blinked. "Right. These are the people who attacked us when we got out of that White stone room with the two rat counsellors."

"You!" Da Hua called at that moment. "Do you have the ability to talk? Then let us fight!"

Da Hua grabbed her Spell Book out of thin air.

Cheng Xiu created a pair of Sword copies to spin around her. She released the sword that was held by the sheath and used Ghost Flame to cover the blade.

"We can do this the hard way or we can do this the easy way," Cheng Xiu said to the twins. "I have a bit of a soft spot for you so I am willing to not destroy you."

Da Hua glared. "Do you think we want to fight you? Do you think we are so idle? If it was up to me, I would be in the garden eating some rotten apples!"

Cheng Xiu tilted her head. "Rotten? Why rotten? Why not fresh?"

Da Hua's face wrinkled. "I…am too used to the taste."

"I thought it was because you are a rat," Cheng Xiu said.

"What does me being a rat have to-"

A string of arrows sprang towards Cheng Xiu from all sides as a green patterned geometric circle appeared under her feet.

Cheng Xiu used the swords to create a "Sword Shield". When she saw that the Shield was being cracked open bit by bit, Cheng Xiu directly used the Ghost Flame to burn them away.

Cheng Xiu blinked and looked towards Xiao Hua.

The man held his Spell Book, a calm look on his gaze. "Shields that can withstand such strong physical attacks, a flame that had the ability to burn anything it touches, and the ability to make multiple copies of your weapon. You are quite a strong person."

Cheng Xiu scoffed.

The man sent arrows at her again.

Cheng Xiu dodged them once more by burning them away with the Ghost Flame.

"I am really not good at Physical spells," Xiao Hua sighed. "Da Hua."

Da Hua started to murmur a spell.

San Zhe dashed towards her, intending to prevent her from attacking Cheng Xiu.

Xiao Hua looked at him and created a golden spell under his feet. Blades made of Light attacked San Zhe again and again.

Xiao Hua's eyes went to Yaksha. The man did not try to help his comrades as he thought the man would, and the others did not ask for his help.

"Brother San," Cheng Xiu called.

San Zhe looked at her as he dodged the flying blades, it was hard to do even though they were not fast and he could dodge most without much effort. Cuts of varying depth littered his body.

"Yeah?"

"Divide and conquer," Cheng Xiu said.

San Zhe frowned. Isn't that what they were doing already? She would attack the Xiao Hua and he would attack the Da Hua, right?

"I meant," Cheng Xiu said with a smile. "Kill one and then the other."

San Zhe understood. She wanted them both to attack a sibling together!

"Which one?" San Zhe asked.

"The crying one," Cheng Xiu said and dashed towards Da Hua.

Da Hua stumbled back in shock and fear.

San Zhe ran after her, his trident held high. His eyes darted to Xiao Hua when he saw a spark of blue light from that side.

The man whispered something that sounded like a spell.

The green patterns under Cheng Xiu's feet turned into a deep blue colour, and chains made of light rose from it.

Cheng Xiu frowned. "Be careful! This could maybe turn into blades or even worse! Brother San, you-"

The glowing blue light chains entered her chest in haste.

San Zhe screamed.

Yaksha moved to her side.

Cheng Xiu fell her her knees.

Cheng Xiu felt a deep pain in her heart as something coiled around it. "Wha…what is…this…"

Cheng Xiu puked blood.

"Sister Xiu!" San Zhe ran to her side.

"I did what I had to," Xiao Hua said as he closed his book. "You are capable, but not that capable."

"Brother!" Da Hua screamed as Xiao Hua fell to his knees as blood poured out of his mouth. "Brother!"

"What is your name?" Xiao Hua asked as his breathing came in gurgling intervals.

Cheng Xiu frowned as Yaksha kneeled beside her.

His once mocking and teasing eyes now held a deep worry in them. "Log Out. Now."

"Selafia," Cheng Xiu said to the NPC instead of giving Yaksha spare glance.

Yaksha frowned. "Why are you being so stubborn?"

"Selafia," Xiao Hua whispered, "I have put you under the Heart Spell. It is a life for life Spell. You have to finish off the Queens if you want to not die. I know you must be thinking that since you are a Reincarnator, you can just be reborn into your birth place or your Safe Zone, but with this spell you can't.. You will always reincarnate in this corridor until you finish the quest."
