139 Different Than Meeting Face To Face

Amber sniffed before looking to the side and was shock to see Timothy.

"What are you doing here?" she asked as sh wiped her tears away feeling embarrassed that he actually saw that.

Why is it that the same person she just remembered was actually here, without her realising it at all?

"Ask your fiancé over there, he was the one who asked me to be here now," Timothy shrugged pointing at Ashton.

Amber looked back at Ashton with questioning look.

"I have heard that he has a business over there, a broadcasting business and that he plans on going there early this year, so I asked him to change his flight into a much earlier one to accompany you," Ashton explained, wiping the remaining tear stains in her cheeks.

She once again looked at Timothy, "You have a broadcasting company?"

"I have, though I just started it a few years back so it was still at its initial stage."

Amber grinned together with her eyes shinning brightly as if the whole world suddenly lit up around her, something that stunned Timothy.

She was just crying a while ago, how come she was grinning now? How come she looks so happy now?

~"She has switches", that is what Leslie said to me that Blake and the others think of her. ~

Brian told them this one time.

Hearing and seeing is truly different,

Ashton, on the other hand, had an exasperated smile on his face.

She really can handle herself quite fine, one moment she was crying, another second she was laughing, the next she was angry.

He no longer knows whether this was a good thing or not.

"You have all the time of your flight to speak with him," he stopped her before she started speaking with Timothy.

"Now you want to speak with me? I told you I was cold and you didn't care," she pouted as she glared at him.

Ashton flicked a finger on her forehead.

"Hey!!" she exclaimed as she held her forehead.

Ashton removed his jacket and placed it on her, "How much more childish could you get? You really do have switches inside you, don't you?"

"I don't have!!" she complained but a smile was already on her lips.

Timothy blinked a few times, another young child appeared in his mind.

She had this side as well, sometimes she acts mature but a lot of times she would act spoiled to all of them.

Even when she became at ease with Ashton when they were kids, she even cried when they were about to separate.

"I'll just go to the restroom," he said despite knowing that they are on their own world.

It has been going on for a while now. He would suddenly remember things about Nathalie and they even heard her name, the name they haven't truly heard for almost twenty years.

He splashed some water on his face.

'Just why the hell am I seeing Nathalie on that girl?' he thought as he looked at his reflection.

Meantime…

"What are you really planning?" Ashton asked her knowing that Timothy was no longer there to listen to them.

"I am not planning anything other than checking on them over there," Amber answered.

Ashton squinted his eyes at her, Amber looked straightforwardly at his eyes, not backing down either.

He could only sigh, this one is truly stubborn, he can tell there's something else in the reason behind her early departure, he just couldn't pin point it.

"Okay, so why did you really cry?" he decided to change the subject seeing her stubbornness.

Amber pursed her lips before she sighed, it's no longer a secret to him about her past anyway, what's the point of not speaking about such little thing?

"I had a fight with Timothy the night before we left that place. I wounded him and didn't get the chance to apologise, in the end, we separated without making up," she admitted.

'Well it was a good thing I was acting stubborn a while ago, if not Timothy would have heard that,' she added in her mind.

"You have so many regrets, haven't you? Why not make up for it from now on. You don't have to tell them who you truly are, but just support them as much as you can. Stop keeping your distance from them," Ashton gently said tucking behind her ear a few strands of hair.

"Got it, I'll do just that," Amber agreed as she wrapped her arms around his waist.

He didn't speak and hugged her back in return.

"Remember what I told you, call me no matter what," he reminded her as he pat the top of her head when he pulled away.

"Back at you," she replied.

"Guys, the departure is already being called. Are you still leaving?" Timothy who had returned saw them still on their own world, reminded.

Amber sighed, "I'm going now."

"Go and be careful," he answered before looking at Timothy.

"I know you'll watch over her, make sure you won't regret anything," he said with a serious look.

"I understand," Timothy answered.

But he was confused at how adamant Ashton is in telling him to not regret anything.

Ashton watched them disappear inside before he turned around but upon stepping outside he finally felt the coldness of the morning.

He turned around to look at the airport, before he laughed defeatedly.

'She must have asked for it,' he thought before going back to his car leaving the area.

"You look so happy, why didn't you just ask for it? He would have surely given it to you," Timothy commented upon seeing her hug the jacket tighter.

"Well, I'm shy?" she grinned back at him.

Timothy shook his head before helping her with her things.

"You asked about my company a while ago, what was it about, you seemed excited," he then remembered after sitting down.

"I have a friend, she was currently looking for a job," Amber who once again remembered became filled with excitement.

Timothy looked at her in a deadpan manner.

"Now, now, don't look at me like that, she is an electronics engineer and specialises in broadcasting," Amber tapped his shoulder and ensured him.

"Why would I employ her?" he asked with furrowed brows.

"Well maybe because I am your friend now? You know, we should really help one another," Amber asked with beaming eyes.

Timothy just raise an eyebrow at her.

'Stingy,' she thought.

"I just can't leave her on other companies, that's all. She is kind of special after all," she finally decided to tell the truth.

"Special? In what way?" Timothy could only sigh and ask after seeing her dejected look.

Somehow he now knew the reason why Ashton seemed to spoil her, whenever she's dejected, those close to her wouldn't feel right.

Just like that girl.

'Stop thinking about that girl,' he reprimanded himself.

"Well, she has two dreams, she loves walking down the runway but she also wants to build systems for programs or events. Just like that of a concert, recordings and playing everything in the LED wall, something like that," she explained.

"Are you telling me right now, that she is a model?" Timothy asked incredulously.

Amber nodded slowly, "Well yes she is a model."

"Why would a model want such a tedious work? Isn't it that modelling was a very delicate work?" he once again asked.

"I told you, both are her dreams. Why not try her for a month, you know, probationary period. Then if she really is not cut to it, feel free to remove her. I won't say anything by then. So please employ her?" Amber begged and looked at him with her amber coloured eyes.

Looking at them Timothy could only relent, he cannot disagree at all.

"Fine, one month. A month and that's it, if she's not cut for it, she's not cut for it," he relented.

"Got it, thank you very much," Amber beamed upon getting his approval.

She knew that Alissa would be able to make it.

'I have a feeling that modelling was actually her second dream, instead it was the broadcasting that she really wants to do,' she thought as she hugged the jacket tighter to herself, ready to sleep.

Seeing her happy look, Timothy could only shake his head.

'She was that happy to be able to help her friend? She really is something else.'

Meanwhile, Amber was actually excited that after seven years, she will finally meet them again.

Video calls and normal calls are very much different than meeting face to face.

At the same time, she needs to see just how much the company have improved, though she saw the stocks going well just fine, what she needed the most was to get some of the minor stocks in Hughes Empire.

Currently they are still a bit short, so she needs to be there and find a way to gain more.

Together with all these was her excitement of seeing the designs of that shop over there.
