148 An Amazing One I Suppose

"I'm shock, the moment you arrive you actually addressed the matter," Jake commented after Elloise left.

"If I keep it longer it would be even more difficult to say it. Plus saying it earlier would prepare her better," she replied honestly as she sat down in the couch opening her laptop.

"And, what are you planning now? Are you going to tell her straight?" he continued asking.

"No, I wouldn't. But I'll try and say things in passing. Just as I have said it may just be her transition, who knows this might even be for the better," Amber nonchalantly said.

Jake nodded in agreement, it was not too serious yet so they can just watch over it for now.

After that the whole place turned silent with only Amber's typing as the sound.

"Woah, you guys are seriously working too hard."

Maybe around two hours later did Hayley suddenly came in.

"Done with the call?" Amber asked as she glanced up before looking down once again.

"Yup, just got over it," Hayley happily said that even her eyes were beaming.

"You look so happy," Amber commented.

"Well, I guess."

She giddily walked to Amber and sat beside her, looking at what she was doing.

"Rose Gold Jewelries?" Hayley asked in curiosity.

"I'm going to make a special gift," Amber replied with a smile.

Hayley looked at her teasingly, "Don't tell me you have fallen in love, could it be Ashton? Or are you having some forbidden love."

Amber looked at her with a meaningful smile.

Jake could only cover his ears when Hayley suddenly shrieked.

"Are you planning to break the glasses?" he asked in anger.

"Ooops, sorry aunt Jacqueline. But you were listening right? She fell in love, she fell in love with her fiance," Hayley excitedly said.

"Geez, they are engaged, they can fall in love all they want," Jake rolled his eyes after saying this.

"Not all engaged people fall in love with one another. Oh my gosh I'm so happy I can finally relate with someone," Hayley exclaimed.

"Yeah right as if you can relate with those two, without speaking with one another they can already understand what the other is thinking. So are you going to read Amber's mind?" Jake butted in.

Hayley gasped, she had forgotten about this.

The four of them are updated because Blake and the other two were in constant contact with them as well.

And it was Blake who told them that these two could understand one another with just eye contact.

"That's right, Blake did say that you two are out of this world couples. But wait… they didn't tell us that you two are officially a couple," she then said upon realizing this.

"They did, you were just focus on something else back then," Jake commented in boredom.

"Let me guess? With Mark Dwayne?" Amber asked with a hint of teasing.

Amber shook her head with a smile before standing.

"Where are you going?" Hayley asked.

"You already know where, one reason for my earlier arrival," Amber answered.

"I wanna go," Hayley stood up as well.

"Have you done all your current projects?" Amber asked her as she walked out of the office.

"Half of it," Hayley grinned.

"Yeah right, the deadline will be in two weeks and you still want to play," Amber lightly said.

"I will be able to finish it don't worry, I also want to check the shop you're going to," Hayley cling unto Amber's arm.

Amber shook her head as she let her do what she wants.

But Jake could hear all the meaning behind Amber's words, she was already testing Hayley.

"You truly are a hard worker, aren't you?" he commented looking at his closed door.

"Though, such trial, it was your friend whom you should test."

"Welcome ma'am," one employee greeted as Amber and Hayley entered the shop.

"Could you be miss Hayley Coleman? The designer of Leaf?" she then said upon having a closer look at Hayley's face.

Hayley smiled to her, "I guess that would be me."

The employee gasp as her eyes brightened, "Can I please have your autograph? I am your fan, your evening gowns were so beautiful and elegant and unique. They are just wonderful."

Hayley giggled, "Of course, what's your name?"

"Arlene, Arlene Batton," she happily said.

Hayley smiled and signed where she was asked to.

"I guess bringing you here was the right choice," Amber commented as she watch Hayley happily signing.

A smile was also on her lips, she can still see the joy in Hayley's eyes as she entertain her fan.

"I told you, you should bring me," Hayley grinned.

"Yes, yes, I am lucky I brought you. To think that the owner would actually be your fan," Amber said.

Arlene stared at Amber in shock.

"Proper research," Amber said as she smiled back at her.

"I'm amazed, almost no one could guess that I who had always been in the front desk would be the owner and the one in the office was actually the employee," Arlene answered back.

"Well, I want a personalized ring so I had to make my research. It was the condition after all, if you want the famous Rose Gold Jewelries to make your own design of jewelry. A fun one actually," Amber smiled as she said.

But in reality she just had to hack through their computers to check every employees profile and viola, she found the real owner.

Amber stuck out her tongue in her mind with this thought.

"Very well, since you came prepared- Ah… Are you sure you didn't bring miss Coleman here, because you knew I was a fan?" Arlene asked.

Amber raised both her hands, "I just arrived here yesterday so I practically barely knew anyone around here. Even your preference."

"I can guarantee that," Hayley added.

"I see, well since you brought me a pleasant surprise, I will personally help you with the personalized jewelry that you want," Arlene nodded before she guided them inside the shop.

"I would like to make a request," Amber said.

Arlene looked at her, her eyes asking.

"Wow, I never thought you could be this romantic," Hayley commented as the two of them drank their coffee.

"I never thought I would be as well," she answered.

"And, don't call me romantic when you yourself designed such an intricate design for that person," she then added.

Hayley smiled bashfully.

"See, see, see that. Acting all cute just the mention of that person. Waaahh, I never thought you would be like this once you fall in love," Amber teased as her face scrunched up.

"What? Don't tell me you don't even call him? Or you two don't even have video calls," Hayley asked back.

"We do have our calls but it does not take that long, going two hours? *sigh* don't your ears hurt?" Amber retorted.

"Well I guess when you fall in love you just forget such small details?"

Hayley answered for truly after the calls her ears were in pain, something she didn't feel when she was still speaking with Mark.

Amber laughed seeing her look.

"And what is he doing?" she then asked.

"Currently he is working in a fashion magazine company in Helios Country, so he sometimes ask me for opinions," Hayley replied.

"An amazing one I suppose," Amber nodded.

"Not suppose, he IS an amazing writer. You should try and read his corner in Blue Moon magazine," Hayley suggested.

"I'll give it a try when I have the time," Amber accepted.

The two of them hang out for a bit before going back to the office.

"Geez, do you want me to have an earful?" Timothy commented.

When he was about to go for lunch, he saw Alissa still sitting on the table designated for her, reading manuals of the current equipment used in the company.

Alissa looked up at him before checking the time.

"The lunch's almost over. If Amber were to hear about this, she would surely give me an earful," he then added.

It was already an earful when she told him to watch over Alissa a while ago, if she were to hear of this, she would surely give him a much longer lecture.

"Sorry about that but I am also on diet-"

Alissa couldn't finish her sentence when he just raised an eyebrow at her.

"I got it, I got it, I'll eat okay? I'll eat," she instantly stood up and fixed the things she was reading.

"It's your first day, you don't have to be so busy. Try and be familiar with your surrounding first," he then commented as the two of them walked out of the building.

"I can do that but currently I am in probationary, I want to be useful and be able to work properly since I used the backdoor to get in," she nodded and said.

"Don't be too uptight, even the others weren't like that. You're putting too much pressure on yourself by trying to rush things," he advised.
