"I want to live up to her expectation," Alissa answered back as she smiled.

"I have heard her question, she asked you what you really want without thinking about anyone else."

Alissa looked at him.

"That shows that she didn't want you to live up to her expectation instead she was giving you a chance to understand what you really want."

"You became a runway model for your cousin, you studied electronics engineering for her entertainment company, now she gave you a chance to use it in the real world. Not for her expectation but for you to really know, was this really what you wanted?" Timothy explained.

It came to him as a shock when he found out that Amber actually has an entertainment company and that it may not be as influential as SNN yet but it is starting to become one.

She said it so lightly that he couldn't help but wonder if she was serious.

'If those guys were to find out about this, would they be as shock?' was his thought.

All of them already felt inferior after finding out that she started SNN with minimal help yet here they are facing another company that she spearheaded.

'Seriously, does she have more?' he couldn't help but ask to himself.

Alissa, on the other hand, started thinking. It is not that she was not enjoying whatever she was doing but that she couldn't find anything that would really make her blood boil.

Something that she would keep smiling while doing.

Something that despite the tiredness she would still feel fulfilled once the day was over.

"I can see that you are a smart one, try to look in your heart this time. But well, Amber was not rushing you, so don't rush yourself either," Timothy seeing as she started thinking, advised.

"What do you mean by that?" Jake could feel a head ache coming upon calling for Hayley.

"Just one more day, please just give me one more day and I would be able to finish them," she begged.

"You know that the deadline is today, what were you doing?" Jake asked strictly.

"I was doing it, I swear I was doing it. I just didn't expect that it wouldn't reach the deadline. I'm really sorry, I promise this won't happen again," she said.

"How many times have you said that to me now Hayley?" Jake was losing his patience.

"I'm sorry aunt Jacqueline, I really didn't mean to," was all she could say.

"I'm not asking for your apology, I am asking you how many times have you done this already?" Jake repeated.

"It's the fifth one," Hayley looked down as she replied silently.

"Indeed, what was my name again?" Jake kept going.

"Jake France."

"That's right, I am Jake France, I can do whatever I want, I can cancel any orders, I can accept or not whatever I wanted. But what was it that I never do?" he kept asking.

"Overdue," Hayley bowed deeper as she answered.

"Late," her voice became that of a whisper.

"I can't hear you."

"Late."

"One more time."

"Late."

Jake started clapping but his face shouts of anger.

"That's right, I hate being late. I hate not passing everything on time. And here you are known as my student, but how many times have you been late already? How many times again Hayley?"

"Four times."

"No, it's not four. For this deadline you already are late. That makes it five times," he was stopping himself from shouting but he was already at boiling point.

"I'm really sorry aunt Jacqueline, I swear this will really never happen again," Hayley was already on the verge of crying.

She didn't expect that she still has more than three designs that she was unable to do.

All this time she was confident that she only has one or two left.

"Never, I don't want to hear that word from you," Jake replied in gritted teeth.

"I..."

Hayley no longer knows what to say, she indeed said this word multiple times already.

Jake turned around, his back facing her.

He was trying his best to keep calm, taking a deep breath in order not to explode.

The designs this time were for an important event. Tomorrow should have been the elimination round for what should be or should not be used.

But now, they would be a day late because of her.

And a day in production is already a big lost.

"Hayley..."

Amber who was silent all this time finally spoke up.

Hayley, whose eyes were already red, looked up at her.

"I saw you pulling some all nighters for about three days within this week. Were you not doing your designs then?" she asked.

Hayley's eyes quivered upon hearing this, "I… I… I was, I was doing it but still it was not enough."

Amber nodded, "When I asked you two weeks ago, you said you would be able to finish it. So I let you play but Hayley you have to understand. A company as big as this, is very much difficult to handle."

Hayley nodded her head.

She felt even more ashamed for Amber was not getting mad at all. Instead she was talking to her patiently.

"So you understand why aunt Jacqueline is this mad right?" Amber kept going to which Hayley nodded.

Amber sighed, "Very well then, I hope you do keep this in your mind. I will give you 24 hours, you have to finish it by then."

Hayley nodded vigorously, "I will, thank you so much and I am so sorry."

"Go on now," Amber gestured for her to return to her office.

After Hayley left, the office remained silent for a good few minutes.

"She's lying," Jake started after calming himself down.

"I know," Amber replied.

She was the one sitting on his chair drinking some coffee.

"Then why didn't you confront her?" Jake asked.

He had lost patience of Hayley already. If Amber heard her words of finishing it on time and this would be the last time, for the first time.

He had heard it multiple times already, adding to the fact that he can see so many changes in her designs.

He tried doing what Amber was doing now but even that proved to be pointless.

"Aunt Jacqueline," Amber looked up at him.

"What?"

"I'll do the remaining paper works, you should go and have some rest. I'll take over for about three days," even her face looked so calm.

"Huh? Why would I suddenly do that? I am here to help you and if you can't confront her then I will, she is my student after all," he complained.

"Don't worry, nothing will happen. I just want you to rest. You do know that I will not stay here for long. I want to give you as much rest as I possibly can," Amber replied with a smile.

Jake's anger completely dissipated when he was faced with such calmness from her.

He sighed, "Are you sure you'll be fine?"

"I am, I have been reading all your reports despite not being here. Plus everyone knows that I am connected to you, so nothing much will happen."

Only a few knows of her appearance in SNN so almost no one will think of something else because of it.

She barely stayed there and it was only for a good few weeks.

"Very well then, just call me if you need anything," he finally agreed.

For he knows that he too needs some fresh air. It was really difficult to handle such a big company.

After he left, Amber turned serious as she once again opened her laptop.

Unbeknownst to Hayley that day two weeks ago, when she suggested that Amber read Mark Dwayne's article. Amber already read half of everything he had written.

And now she was already done with them, she had seen the clues but she still felt like it was not enough so she haven't brought it up yet.

For she knew she and Hayley would surely fight once she do so.

Her hands flew on the keyboard, codes were typed at different speed.

One by one, news about him started appearing on her screen and the last to appear was his very own social media account.

Amber asked Hayley in passing if she has any idea what Mark's social media was like.

To which Hayley replied that they'd rather spoke through their numbers than their social medias and that Mark told her that he has no social media account.

'If the pianist wants to, she would be able to find anything that she wants, though I must say you were pretty good in hiding this. It took me a day to finally hack into it,' she thought as she browsed through it.

"Quite clean indeed, mostly posted were about the magazine you were in," she mumbled as she kept going.

It was in one post, a model slash designer did her eyes squinted.

'Damn this intuition,' was what came first in her mind.
