168 For You To Tell Me Everything

"You met her already?" he asked upon hearing her answer.

"I have, though she seem to not like me," she shrugged.

"Then, you will still push through without her consent, what are you waiting for in the end?"

"He was the one waiting, not me," Amber corrected just as they entered the top most floor.

"So what were you waiting?" Timothy asked as he followed her but she no longer replied.

"Shall we find out what happened between you back then?"

Timothy was agape. At the center of the green house were multiple computers. She sat down in the middle and shook her fingers, getting ready.

"What in the world is this?" he couldn't help but ask as he stood up behind her.

"I told you, we don't need to comfort her, instead we have to find a way to help her walk down that event," she replied as her eyes turned sharp and her hands started moving.

The movement of her fingers attracted Timothy who was still looking around.

Upon looking down, he was reminded by the year-end gala that she and Ashton played together.

Her fingers flew around the keyboard as if she was playing the piano, the speed changes like that of a music sheet.

As he watch, his eyes went to the monitor and he was shock to see that they were displaying CCTV shots from all over the event venue.

"Then shall we check what happened on that day?" she asked but she was not looking at him.

On the other hand, he was completely taken aback by her capability.

'A CEO of two completely different companies. A major shareholder in one of the empires and now, a hacker? It doesn't seem like she was an ordinary one as well,' he thought for he didn't want to disturb her.

When he snapped out of his thoughts, he saw her just staring at the monitor.

"Are you done?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm just waiting for it to be downloaded. It's better for us to have a copy," she grinned as she turned her chair facing him.

"I don't know how many times I have asked this, but who are you?" he asked.

Amber acted as if she was thinking before she smiled, "Can I trust you?"

Timothy frowned. Her question has so many implications.

"What if you can't?" he asked.

"No, I think I can," she replied with a smile.

He raised an eyebrow. Her confidence baffled him.

"Intuition?" she asked upon seeing his look.

"You know sometimes I wonder if you are serious in everything you are saying," he commented.

Amber's smile slowly disappeared, "Well I guess that is a way for me to lighten up the mood?"

The way she asked it was the same as before, it still has it's light tone but her smile was no longer there and her eyes were sharp.

"How can you change so much as if you have your switches?" he asked.

A smile once again appeared in her lips but the sharpness in her eyes never change.

Timothy didn't speak.

"You see, that's just how easy it is for other people to be fooled. They never truly look in the other person's eyes thinking that they were happy because their action and their voice were jolly."

She started speaking as she stood up taking in the fresh air coming from the plants surrounding them.

"They can act angry but in reality they were not, they can cry like those white lotuses but in reality their eyes were laughing. So many people are like me, they can hide behind their facial features but they can never truly hide their true emotions in their eyes."

"I know so many thought I had switches inside me, I can change so randomly but those people never truly look me in the eye and search its depths," she looked at him seriously and replied.

Timothy was taken aback, the sharpness in her eyes became even more evident after explaining everything.

"Ash was just like you in the past, he never truly look me in the eye but somehow upon meeting again he could read me even more. Is that how it is when you love someone?" she asked randomly.

"I… don't know," was his honest answer.

"You have not fallen in love, is it because you still haven't found the one or because you couldn't entrust them with your heart?"

Timothy became uncomfortable when she asked this. He looked away from her and instead looked at the monitors.

"Oh, the download is finish," Amber had her smile on as she once again sat down on her chair.

But her hands stopped just as she held the mouse, "So can I trust you?"

"Your so random, very well, trust me then," was his reply when somehow they ended up returning to her question.

He was once again taken aback, compared to her smiles a while ago, this time when she did, it felt like the whole world turned bright.

It was so genuine and she is really happy from the bottom of her heart.

He also has the urge to take her mask off her face.

His hand reached out.

"If you take it off, you will be opening the most dangerous pandora's box, are you willing to risk?" she asked.

Timothy snapped out of his thoughts and retrieves his hand.

"I will trust you then," she then said upon seeing this before she looked back at the monitor.

"Allow me to show you, how the Pianist works," she then said.

Timothy's head snapped towards her upon hearing that code name.

The Pianist was among those who are famous within the programming world, he appeared more than ten years ago but up to date, no one still found out just who he was.

He was elusive but at the same time, he barely comes out now. And when he do, he would turn the world upside down by how fast he can hack through things and find what the police have difficulties finding.

Amber played the videos in one monitor while she was prepared to type on the other.

"Found you."

He heard her say but compared to him who was looking at the shot where he helped Alissa she was looking at a different shot.

Following her look, it was a reporter holding his camera, focusing on where the two of them were.

The shot next to it was a shot where his face was visible.

When he looked at the other monitor, Amber already has his face captured and is currently having a run for a face search.

"Aren't you a knight and shinning armor?" she commented.

When Timothy looked at her, she was already looking at the clip of him catching Alissa and carrying her.

"But weren't you a bit far from her? I'm amazed at how fast you are," she added looking back at him with a teasing smile.

"Just continue what you are doing, why still find the time to tease other people?" he retorted.

Amber laughed, "You don't have to worry, everything's under control."

Just as she said this, different information appeared on the monitor in front of her.

"*Whistles* So this had been his work for so long. He will create scandals and twist every possible fact. And what do we have here? There are three people who took their lives because of everything he had written?"

She started speaking and Timothy could only watch, he couldn't help but to look at his watch, it was not yet thirty minutes when she started, how come she is so fast?

"Amazing aren't I?" she asked when she noticed what he did.

"Narcissist, that's what you are," he retorted.

Amber laughed, "One secret."

"One secret? So you really have multiple? Does Ashton knew of it?" he asked as he finally decided to take a sit.

"Of course he knew, he knew everything, every single thing," she answered as she opened another file.

"Every time you speak like that, I couldn't help but want to hit you. Your implications tells me that you have a secret but you won't tell me," Timothy said agitatedly.

"Aren't I telling you now?" she asked innocently.

"Obviously you will tell me things but you won't tell me everything," he said as he shook his head.

"We can't give everything for free," she replied.

"What? Am I supposed to pay, for you to tell me everything?"

Amber's hands stopped moving before she turned to look at him.

"Yes you will. You pill pay a great price in order to know everything. Are you willing to pay that price? There are things I can tell you for free but there are things that comes with a price, what do you think?"

Timothy turned silent, "Your tone tells me that the price would really be too great."

Amber smiled at him but because of what she said a while ago, he decided to look at her eyes.

Her eyes were in agreement to what he said, it was only after he really looked into them did he see that there was a tinge of sadness in them.
