230 An Attention Grabbing Way

There were five of them in the conference room but there should have been six of them in there.

"We are already working out on it," was what Gideon replied.

"Why can't you just agree to their demand? It was your grandson who infuriated them in the first place," another one commented.

"Demand? Do you think I would let my grandson marry that one who finally showed its true colors?" Gideon retorted.

That's right they were talking about Carla Ansel and her grandfather Leon Ansel.

After what happened to Carla during Ashton's birthday of being scared to death by Ashton and Amber.

Even Cathrine barely met with her again.

"As if you haven't seen it in the past," another retorted, he was sitting farthest from Gideon.

"I can see that you have keen eyes James," Gideon answered.

James Scott just raised an eyebrow at him.

He had noticed just how much Gideon had been looking at him as if he was laughing at him about something.

"You seem too relax," another asked him.

"Do you think someone like them could make Wright Empire tremble?" Gideon answered.

"Wright is currently at the bottom of the five empires, this current problem might shake it at its core," another warned.

Gideon knew they were worried and he would be lying if he is not. But who would dare make his grandson marry that woman? Someone he never had feelings for?

That Leon is truly cunning, Gideon could already feel it in the past, he was eyeing the Empire.

He was now using the accident in order to apply pressure to them.

"Anyway, relax, Ashton surely has a way to stop this from getting out of hand."

"We should have known, he was still a troublemaker through and through," one said.

The others were shaking their heads and the meeting ended with no particular solution produced.

Gideon sighed as he leaned back on the chair.

He couldn't call for Ashton now, the siblings had been in danger and Amber was the one that caused him so much worry.

He once again sighed.

"You're grandson is too stubborn, just like you," James commented.

The two of them are the only ones left in the meeting room.

"What? I want him to choose his own future being the heir is already too much," Gideon said while massaging his temple.

James just sighed himself.

He had two children but both run away because he wants to dictate their lives. Truly what a sad father he is.

His wife died early and he ended up bringing up their two children on his own.

Hearing his sad sigh, Gideon looked up at him.

"I am the one having a problem here. Why are you the one sighing there?"

"You know, why do I feel like you had been mocking me all these time? Just come out with it already," James retorted.

"What should I tell you?" Gideon acted clueless of what he was talking about.

But he was indeed teasing him because he knew just where his grandchildren are.

Just that it was too bad because his daughter was no longer in this world.

"Just what would you feel if you found out the truth?" he muttered.

"What are you mocking me again?" James didn't hear him and just asked.

"Nothing just speaking to myself," Gideon shrugged.

Just then his phone rang.

"What?!?" he answered without looking at the caller.

"Come on grandfather, is that how you answer to your future grand daughter-in-law? I just want to say that we are about to take our flight and will be there around afternoon today. Don't be mad now," Amber said after pulling away from the phone because of his shout.

Gideon abruptly stood up getting the attention of James.

"Why are you coming here? What is going on?" he asked both in excitement and worry.

"Geez just relax. Do you think I don't know that that woman is trying to cause trouble? Of course I am coming to pull her hair."

Gideon laughed, "I would like for you to really do that."

"As if I would, I am coming to do my work," Amber said in contrast to what she had just said.

"Your work?" Gideon asked.

"Just wait," was all she said before bidding him goodbye.

After keeping his phone he looked at James with a grin.

"That's disgusting, what are you grinning about?" James asked with a disgusted look.

"Well, the solution to our problems are finally coming, ain't that a happy thing?" he said with a laugh.

"I don't get what you are talking about but if you would be able to shut all those old men up then that would be great," was all he could say.

"Don't worry, don't worry. Come on let's have some coffee shall we?"

Gideon happily left the room while James followed him shaking his head.

"Oh, this is such a beautiful city."

People couldn't help but to look towards the three ladies walking out of the airport.

Each of them wearing stylistic clothes, even matching it with sunglasses, well except for the one in the middle for she was wearing a half mask.

If one were to look closer they all look like a model.

"Will you guys stop that already?" Xander exasperatedly shook his head.

This three have been acting tourist since they arrived, no even during the flight.

"What's wrong with you? We are enjoying ourselves, stop being a kill joy," Samantha instantly snapped.

Xander could only puff his cheeks, due to her pregnancy her mood swings have increased a lot.

"Just let them do as they please, this is a rare time for them to enjoy themselves after all," Timothy placed a hand on his shoulder and said.

"It is fine but can't you see all those eyes staring at them like hawks?" he complained.

Timothy looked around and indeed quite a lot of men are watching the three ladies quite too closely.

He squinted his eyes and the brothers walked forward placing an arm in the ladies shoulders.

Not noticing that even they were being watched closely by ladies with hearts in their eyes.

Ashton shook his head before pulling Amber who was in the middle of this two couples and placed an arm on her shoulder. The two of them walked behind the other two pairs.

And for the bystanders their appearance are picturesque as if they just walked out of a portrait.

"Announcing your arrival?" he asked her.

Amber looked at him with a grin, "Well, since this is your country surely there would be a lot of people working under them. Then that means that news would reach her ears the moment we arrive."

She looked ahead, "And making it in such an attention grabbing way is a great way of agitating her."

Ashton didn't smile but his eyes were as he looked at her.

"Sir," Cedric, who went ahead a few days earlier, came to pick them up.

"Hi there Cedric, it's been a while," Amber greeted upon seeing him.

"It has been indeed miss, it is really great to see you doing well."

Amber smiled at him before riding the car.

It was a limousine, as per her request, to fit the six of them and to have more impact in their arrival.

"And how does this woman look?" Samantha asked as they travel to where they will be staying.

"Ah, hmmm, how should I put it. Oh that's right, a white lotus," Amber answered with a laugh.

She could still remember that time when she poured soup in her legs and acted so pitiful with just a little wound in her finger.

"Oh, how is that so?" Alissa became interested.

Whenever they had some talk in the past, not everything that was happening are being said.

"Well you see..."

After telling them the story of their first meeting, Alissa and Samantha couldn't help but to laugh as well.

"She actually did that? But it's a good thing that the soup didn't leave you scarred," Alissa said.

"Well, Ash helped me with it, so it didn't left any mark."

"But for her to be proud at such small thing, that's quite a way for being a white lotus," Samantha commented.

"Well such pitiful tricks won't work. If she wants to really compete, why don't she go ahead and train with guns and knives? Maybe I would give her a chance for a competition," Amber shrugged.

"Anyway, so currently you are saying that her grandfather who was a major shareholder is applying pressure to the Wright Empire because of her whim?" Samantha asked.

"Not entirely I just want to join in that's why I asked Ash to wait for me."
