242 We Can't Keep Going Like This

Everyone looked back at him, he has his brows furrowed and they can see that he was angry as well.

"Please excuse me," he said before leaving the room.

All of them then left and Samantha met up with Xander at the parking lot.

"They said Amber came," she said at him upon riding.

"Amber? Why is there something wrong with her coming?" Xander asked as he helped her with her seat belt.

"I don't know but Ashton's face didn't look good," she answered.

"Must be because of yesterday's fight, they haven't made up I guess," he said as he started the car.

He didn't need to butt in with the lover's quarrel of his sister.

'She haven't said her plan yet but well this matter first I suppose,' he thought as they drove back home.

Upon entry, Ashton found her sitting by the floor to ceiling window looking outside.

"Why are you here?" he asked as he leaned at the wall beside the closed door, crossing his arms on his chest.

Amber sneered, "How harsh, are you that mad?"

She didn't look at him and remained looking outside.

"Why would I be mad?"

"There you go again, asking me a question you yourself should know," she answered back.

"Just answer my question Thalie, why have you come here?" Ashton asked once again.

"Should you be asking that or should I be asking you why did you leave me behind?" she asked looking back at him.

Both of them showed no emotion, both didn't want to back down.

"Leave you? Do you plan on showing up to them?" he asked again.

"No, but it was still mine, the hotel was still mine. Don't I have the right to see how it will go?" she asked in return.

"You will find out about it anyway."

She finally stood up and approached him, "What I am doing have been going on way before I returned to Celestial Country. I admit that I should have told you but don't you think that your are being too much right now?"

Ashton didn't answer and just looked back at her.

Amber didn't back down and just looked back at him, "Why? Why did you even have to have them make me stay inside the house?"

"What will you do outside then? Surely when you get out you would just come here," he replied.

"That's what I am saying, if you are mad then face me properly. Not like this, you leaving me behind and waking up on my own. Are you planning to talk to me the moment you get home, that's why you didn't want me to go out?"

Ashton didn't answer and walked until she was behind him. His eyes looking outside the window.

"Ash!!" she grabbed him by his shirt and called him.

He looked back at her but didn't say anything.

Their first little fight she ended up crying making him approach her.

Their second fight she was also at fault and came to him ending up crying once again.

This time it was her fault at the same time not and she no longer know what else to do.

"Do you always need a reason in order to come to me? Do I have to cry?" she asked continuously.

Ashton's facial features softened a little as she asked this.

He couldn't help but sigh, "Must I always learn things when they are already half way through?"

He asked as his eyes finally showed what he was feeling, hurt and worry.

"I admit I didn't inform you and just told you now and with that I do feel bad. But must you react this way?"

Her eyes showing how pained she was.

"Cause I don't know how I will react," he finally admitted.

"This is a life threatening matter, how am I supposed to react when I suddenly found out that you had been putting your life in danger without my knowledge all these time?"

Amber sighed and looked at him seriously, "I'm sorry, I really am. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner and I'm sorry for making decisions that would put me in danger on my own."

"And I promise now that whatever I do in the future I will tell you everything. Especially when it involves my well being, I promise to do it."

She finally let him go and took a step back, "But don't blame me for being angry and hurt right now as well. You promised you won't leave me alone yet you just did that. Waking up on my own and finding out you left for a battle I should be with, without telling me."

She took another step back, "This is a relationship, you may spoil me and support me unceasingly but I can't always be the one running to you whenever we have a fight."

"You suddenly throwing a tantrum and ignore me for who knows how long is not good for this relationship. You can't just coll it off before approaching me and talk about it."

"At times we have to tackle it earlier in order not to make it bigger."

After saying this she left the room and closed the door behind her.

Ashton didn't follow her yet, he knew he still have a lot of short comings when it comes to relationships.

He sighed heavily and walked to his chair opening one of the drawers of his table taking out a box, it was the size where necklace are placed.

A week left and it is her 24th birthday and now they have this fight.

His phone rang after he returned the box in the drawer.

"Everything is settled," Timothy informed him.

"Got it, thanks."

"What's wrong?" Timothy asked hearing the heaviness in his voice.

"Nothing, bye."

"Look at this man, you ask him if he is fine and he just hang up on you," Timothy complained as he shook his head.

"Maybe they are still fighting?" Alissa asked.

"Let's return then and find out," he told her.

*****

"What is it Amber?" Timothy asked.

When they got home, Xander said that Amber wanted to speak with them and to call her once the two of them arrive.

They are now sitting at the living room while Amber was standing in front of them.

"I will tell you the proposal I said yesterday but it was more like a plan that had been going on."

They looked at one another before looking back at her ready to listen.

"During my time in Star Country I have found out that the side effect is losing it's effect on me. I knew poison was the number one weapon of Price Empire and losing the side effect I knew I have to do something."

She looked at them before continuing, "That is why I came up with one solution..."

She paused for a few seconds, "To get use to every kind of poison."

Everyone was completely shock by this.

"Yes I have been training my system to build immunity with different types of poison. Not relying on my immunity because of the side effect. Though it helped my body accommodate thing s better and the effects weren't as strong."

"If I was not doing this, the poison that was on the knives of your kidnappers would surely affect me sooner than later. It was only possible for me to stay awake and moving because of this preparation."

"And Ashton learned about this yesterday?" Timothy asked her after snapping out of his shock.

Amber nodded, "That is why I understand his own anger."

"How long have you been doing this?" Xander asked.

"Almost five years now," she answered.

"Have you explained this to him already?" they then asked.

Finding out that she had been building up immunity for poisons was of great shock but with what she wanted to do? Surely she really need this.

Ashton who cared too much for her would surely be hurt deeply after finding out that she had been putting her life in danger all these time.

"I have but The current fight between us is something deeper. I just called you to explain this. I'll take my leave now," she said.

They watched her stand up and walked up the stairs returning to the study that was being used by Ashton in this house.

"It seems that it is a big fight," Alissa commented.

Samantha nodded.

"Well I understand Ashton's reason for being mad. If I find out that your life I want to protect was being endangered by you I would surely get hurt for not knowing about it," Xander started.

"But since she said that their fight have a deeper reason and the way she herself looks mad, their talk a while ago must have not gone well," he added.
