245 Never Thought I Had One Either

She has this happy smile that made every flower pale in comparison to her beauty.

For the first time since they were together, he ended up being awed by her aura that he stopped in his tracks until she threw herself in him.

"What took you so long? I have been waiting," she said with her eyes shinning brightly.

Ashton looked down at her before giving her a gentle smile reaching the depths of his eyes.

"Something came up so I had to fix it, how was your celebration?" he asked.

"It was a happy one, everyone greeted me and congratulated me," she happily said.

She looks like a child who was suddenly thrown a party by her parents on her birthday.

"I'm happy, are you ready then?" he asked.

Amber nodded.

She was wearing a skinny jeans with blue lose t-shirt and jacket. He couldn't help but be amused.

Other ladies would surely put on a dress and make up and doll themselves up when their significant someone would tell them that he would bring them somewhere on their birthday.

But she really was different, its not that she was not dolling up but that she didn't want to get uncomfortable while on their date.

One would surely not enjoy a day when they are wearing uncomfortable clothes or shoes.

"We shall be going now," he looked up and saw her family and his standing by the doorway.

"Take care," his family said.

"Take care of her," her brothers said.

Amber waved at them happily before riding his car and the two of them set off.

"I feel emotional," Samantha couldn't help but say as she watches the car go.

"It's because you are pregnant," Xander remarked causing him to receive a kick on his shin.

"What was that for?" he asked as he squatted down in pain.

"Your such a killjoy, of course you know what I am saying," she stormed in after saying this.

Despite this not their place, they are now comfortable in it especially since the main family of Wright was this warm.

The others could only shook their head and went in as well.

Alissa gave Timothy a smile before she too entered.

"Was it that painful?" he asked looking down at his brother.

He was still squatting down holding his shin as he shook his head.

"I just don't know what to feel," he admitted.

"Because its too short?" Timothy asked again as he looked at the road their car took.

"Because its too short," Xander repeated as he stood up.

"Well, we met after so long. We are all old already you have Samantha while I have Alissa. This is inevitable but we could only feel happy we get to witness this part at least," Timothy patted him on the shoulder and said before going in himself.

Amber happily went down the car as they reach their destination.

It was an open space with a straight path walk ahead of them, it was long enough that one could vaguely see an entrance at the end towards another isolated garden.

"Such a place exists in Ceres Country? This is such a wonderful place," she said with a smile looking back at him who was now standing by her side.

"Let's go then," he said holding her hands intertwining their fingers.

Amber sighed contentedly and the two of them started walking along the pathway.

There are ten pillars that are two meters apart and every pillar has an orange-lighted lamp with tangerine beauty crossvine surrounding the pillars and they are in full bloom.

When she looked up she could see the orange purple sky of the sunset and it gives off a very warm feeling despite the wind being cold.

"Hey Ash," she called as they walk.

"Hmmm."

"My promise to you do you remember?" she asked.

"Yes."

"What of it?"

"I promised that I won't do anything that would endanger my life without telling you so allow me to keep doing this. I will make sure that if it is something new I would consume it in front of you," she said looking up at him.

They may have made up but they haven't talked about this yet.

The real reason why they fought in the first place.

Ashton sighed, "Would I be able to stop you even if I said no?"

Amber grinned and shook her head, "No."

"That's why I am promising you that this time around you would be there every time I consume something new," she added.

"Then do just that. But if it would be too much you have to listen to me and stop," he said.

"Yes sir," she answered with a salute.

Just as they were nearing the garden, "Hey Ash, I have promised and all. How about you?"

The thing about him turning his back on her and waking up without him being there was still making her uneasy.

Ashton tightened his grip on her hand and led her inside the garden.

It was not a simple rose garden but different types of blooming flowers were there. Grouped according to their color and type.

This gave the garden a very beautiful scenery together with the sunset.

In the middle was a big tree with a swing on it.

Amber exclaimed at this sight, she had loved the swing since child. Their house in Celestial country even their rest house has a tree with a swing on it.

She didn't know why but she just loved the scene of a swing on a tree.

"Why?" she couldn't help but ask.

"Thought you might like it since it was what you loved when you were young," he shrugged.

Looking at him, her eyes caught something else.

"Oh my!!" she once again exclaimed as she approach one bush.

There were pictures in every bush and they were pictures of her from when she was a child.

"How did you get all of these?" she asked.

"Your brothers saved them up and my parents have some as well. As for the teen age year it was all from miss Lane," he answered.

There are so many of them, but there are years that was still missing. The years she spent hiding and running.

From when she was six until she was sixteen.

No matter how much he search, he was still up against the Pianist and everything was deleted by her.

Amber smiled with melancholy, "To think I would see such pictures again."

They were not only pictures of her when she was young but they were also pictures of her whole family.

She roamed around the garden and checked each and every picture.

The sky darkened and the lights illuminated the place, not far from the tree was a table for two.

"A candle lit dinner," she said with a laugh before looking up at him.

"I never thought you have such a side," she added.

Ashton shrugged, "Never thought I had one either."

Since she ate a lot during lunch what they have is not actually dinner but instead dessert.

They were pastries she loved and wine to match them.

Amber was filled with happiness as she stretched after eating quite a lot of pastry.

"Here," Ashton handed her a box, the same box he checked on the day they fought.

Amber smiled and opened the box.

There were two things inside, it was a necklace and a bracelet.

The pendant of the necklace was a 14.82 carat orange diamond.

He chose this color because of her amber colored eyes.

The design of the bracelet was like a horse shoe that was much rounder and the design were vines intertwining with one another looking like a loop of infinities.

"They're beautiful," she said happily.

She didn't bother with the price, since both of them rarely gifted one another, they are not stingy when it comes to this. And they would not reject it either.

"Put it on me," she happily said.

And Ashton helped her with the necklace and the bracelet.

"Happiest birthday ever," she muttered as she walked to the swing with him behind her.

The night wind was a bit cold but she enjoyed it.

"Come to think of it, the others didn't give me any gifts," she remembered.

"Well the day is not yet over maybe they will buy you some," he said amusedly as he started pushing the swing.

"Oh well all of you being here was more than enough for me to be happy so I won't bother with gifts. Thank you so much Ash," she said as she played with her necklace.

Ashton smiled down at her and his eyes watched her play with the pendant.

As she played with the pendant, it suddenly came off, falling on the ground.
