260 We Really Are Lucky

Amber felt like another wall was lifted between her and the others.

She had been surrounded by it all these time.

Due to her identity she couldn't entirely be open to all of them and somehow that created some high walls between her and Ashton's friends.

She just decided not to tell them one thing yet, about her being a major shareholder.

Well other than them knowing of her being a major shareholder in Cooper Empire, they don't need to know the other details.

They can just find out about it someday.

Just then Samantha suddenly stood up and run to the restroom. It was when another dish came in and the smell permeated all over the room.

Alissa followed her knowing the reason behind it while the others who didn't know looked at Xander in confusion.

"What?" he asked as if this was not a big thing.

"Is she sick? Why did you let her come if she was sick?" Harvey asked him in furrowed brows.

"No, that's her being sensitive with the smell of some dishes. I can't join her there so I thank Alissa for supporting her," Xander answered looking towards the door where Samantha and Alissa went to.

He then looked at Timothy then nodded at him.

"Uhmmm why do I hear a different meaning in your words?" Leslie who has become quite acquainted with them spoke.

"Hmm? Oh haven't I said anything about it yet? Samantha is on her first quarter of pregnancy."

The way he said it sounds like it was nothing but it was another bomb for them who saw him as someone who never had a girlfriend and only has flings.

"You are about to become a father?!?" Brian exclaimed.

He has the same look as Mathew, Harvey, Blake, Devon and Aldger.

Xander looked at them smugly.

"Who would have thought that the most chick magnet would be the first to have a child in our group," Harvey said with a shake of his head.

Xander smirked and even crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"Hmmmm most chick magnet? I see," another voice came from behind him and his smug look slowly crumbled.

He looked back and there stood Samantha with a dangerous glint in her eyes.

"S- Sam, are you okay now?" he asked.

"Hmmph."

Samantha went to another chair that was empty and was far from him. Xander stood up and rushed to her.

He started coaxing her and gained laughter from the other members.

Soon congratulatory remarks rained on them and more teasing but in their eyes, there were the sincere happiness for their friend.

"But your Empire?" then a question came.

Xander's face turned dark, "They tried taking her but we were lucky that Amber and Ashton found out and started tailing her. They saved her and nothing bad happens."

"How about the child?"

"Then where would she be staying?"

Xander looked at Samantha and she gave him a reassuring smile, "I will be fine. This is better than you worrying about us over and over again."

"She will be staying here and work with the Wright," Xander looked at them and said.

"I think that would be for the better especially with how your Empire handles things."

"How about you Tim?"

They started worrying about these brothers, with the kidnapping even with Amber's warning, the Empire would surely do something to make use of them to hold Amber on the neck.

"I plan on making Lie Company one of the biggest broadcasting company out there. So I will be staying at Kuiper Country instead," Timothy answered.

"I have been meaning to ask, was the name Lie like its meaning or was there another meaning to it?" Mathew asked upon hearing the name.

Timothy chuckled before looking at Amber, Amber looked back at him with eyes asking him what is it.

"It was the last letters of Nathalie's name," he answered.

Amber looked at him emotionally, she didn't expect such meaning. She had thought it was implying to its own meaning and that he was trying to refer to the fact that what they do is the opposite of their company name.

"What? I told you, Nathalie was someone very important to us. But I didn't feel like using your name was a good thing so I used the last letters instead," Timothy said with a smile.

Amber could only smile back at him, she really was a loved younger sister.

"Then what about your Empire?"

"I will return but I will start studying more in depth things regarding the medicine field," Xander answered.

"Do you think you will be fine?" they couldn't help but to worry.

"Don't worry, with Amber's warning I have some freedom as long as I don't openly oppose them, I will surely be fine," he answered but Samantha held his hand.

He looked at her and smiled, "I may not look like it but I can manipulate them just fine, with enough acting they wouldn't think that I already knew that my sister was alive and that she has actually warned them."

"If you say so but we will lend a helping hand anytime. Don't worry despite not being the next heir we still have our own authority over a few things," Mathew suggested to which the others nodded in agreement.

Amber blinked a few times, "We really are lucky."

It was one sentence but it contained everything she wanted to tell them.

How lucky she and her brothers for having such loyal friends who was actually willing to go up against an Empire when the time arises that they would be needing some help.

"What are your next plans then?"

Amber looked at Ashton, "I will be heading to Achernar Country this time."

Harvey's head snapped towards her upon hearing this.

"I told you I have a lot of preparation to do, I can't stop here now," Amber said.

"Have your business started there already as well?" Harvey asked, to which the others nodded in unison.

If she started already then just how hardworking had she been all these time?

"Well you could say I have but its best for me to keep quiet about it for now. Its better to inform you once it has became even more stable," she answered with a meaningful smile.

"Wait, the thing you asked my grandfather for. I mean collaborating with the Price Empire, why would you do that?" Brian remembered while equating it to her preparations.

"Help? Of course not, why would I help them?" she answered.

"But it was a collaboration between two Empires it would be beneficial for the both of them," he added.

Amber once again smiled but this time her smile obviously has a dangerous meaning to it.

"Someday you'll understand why I had your grandfather do what I asked him to," was all she said.

She didn't want to spoil them, it would be better to show them instead of just telling.

"Geez you really love being mysterious then suddenly would throw a bomb on us. No wonder you and Ash are compatible," they could only raise their hands in defeat.

Her demeanor tells that she would really not tell them anything.

"It is better for all of you to learn little than to learn too many, that way your acts would be natural when the day that I throw the biggest bomb comes," she said meaningfully.

"Come to think of it, after this is your wedding night. Are you ready," soon the talk went to this topic.

This topic was something Amber was actually trying so hard to ignore.

"Well, we'll know when we get there?" she said with a smile but Ashton could see that she stiffened upon the mention of the wedding night.

"Ooohhhh, you seem uncertain. Could you be nervous?" they kept going.

"On the other side, you seem like you were so sure of how it is being done, how many times have you done it?" she asked in return.

The question came from Brian and suddenly being asked he was rendered speechless.

The others laughed at this, "Stop messing around when you yourself have not done it at all."

"That was a nice curve ball you threw there," another said giving Amber a thumbs up.

"Wait a minute, in this group, how many have actually done it?"

A sudden question that made all of them quiet popped up.

Then all eyes went to Xander and Samantha, they were the only ones whom they know have done it.

The baby was there, it was the greatest proof.

Blake who asked the question cleared his throat, "I shouldn't have asked that I guess."

Then came the punches coming from the other men within the room.

"You really have a lose screw," they hit him over and over again.

Amber laughed at this but Ashton could see that she had tensed up.
