262 When You Gave Me The Ring

'He was indeed a monster last night, no matter how I train I don't think I would be able to keep up with him.'

Then a smile tugged at her lips, 'Last night was truly something else. Never thought such things could make one feel contented.'

"Stop talking to yourself and eat now, I can hear your stomach from the outside."

She heard him spoke in the door, upon looking at him she grinned, "Good after noon again?"

Ashton shook his head, "Go on and take a shower. I'll reheat the food."

"I want some coffee," she called as he step out of the room.

After getting changed, a smile remained in her lips, there was a lot of mark on her body but she felt even more loved because of it.

"Smells good," she commented as she sat down in the dining table as Ashton serve the food.

Looking at all the dishes, they were healthy ones but she can tell just with the look that they were delicious.

Ashton who waited for her to wake up ate with her.

"You told me the preparations are about to begin and you can't wait for the day I am tied down with you, who would have thought that the preparation you were talking about was the preparation for the wedding day itself. How cunning of you."

After eating a few spoon full, she spoke up after remembering what they talk about the night before the wedding itself.

Ashton just smiled at her before shrugging.

"When did you start all those preparations? I can see how much time everything should have taken," she then commented.

"When you gave me the ring," he answered.

Amber stopped eating and looked up at him, she has a shock look in her face.

"That was five months ago!!" she exclaimed.

"That day, when I opened my door and it was your smiling face that I saw. And the moment you gave me that ring, the thought of you walking down the aisle towards me suddenly popped."

He put down his spoon and fork before looking back at her.

"We both are very sure that we will get married but I can't seem to think about a date for it. The final decision was made during my birthday."

"Then what kind of bride am I? I didn't even help with anything," she couldn't help but to complain.

Ashton chuckled, "You are the queen bride, all you needed to do is be there and marry me."

"How willful of you as well," she muttered with a smile.

"Who influenced me I wonder?" he answered before leaning forward to wipe the sauce on the side of her lips.

Amber sighed in contentment, she feel peaceful right now. Very very peaceful, maybe because of the fact that they just got married but all the things about revenge was currently at the back of her mind.

The two of them didn't go out and stayed inside for the rest of the day.

They would receive calls from the others and would chat with them but they didn't go out.

Just like that time when Ashton appeared in front of her when she was feeling really down because of Hayley, where they stayed inside her place for a few days.

The smile never left her lips and every time Ashton would see this he couldn't help but to smile as well.

Some days they would go out with the others and spend time together, just roaming around Ceres Country.

They didn't care about their identities and most of the people didn't know who they were as well.

That is why during this time, they were able to just freely do whatever they wanted.

Even going to amusement parks and beach in order to help Timothy and Xander in overcoming their trauma.

And maybe because of the fact that they were now with their sister and their loved ones, the two of them started accepting the places faster.

Amber who was busy for so long found this new pace quite enjoyable and entertaining at the same time it gave her and the other girls to really integrate with the group of men.

Their days was blissful and their nights were as blissful as well.

In particular in their bed room.

It was another few days when they finally need to go their separate ways.

"I'm leaving Hayley to you," Amber said to Blake.

"Don't worry, I'll do my job properly."

"Take care both of you," she then said to Timothy and Alissa.

"You too, take care. You are about to enter the final phase of your plans after all," Alissa said giving her a hug.

Timothy didn't say anything more and just ruffled her hair.

Amber beamed at him.

Xander also did the same towards her before looking at Samantha. The two of them have to separate this time, they need to work separately.

"I'll return every once in a while. Take care of yourself properly," he said seriously.

The two of them was always together. The others didn't know but every time he was not around them and was not with the Empire, he was always with her.

"You too, the place your going to is the lion's den. It is more dangerous than most of us," Samantha answered.

"Just call me if anything comes up. And..." he looked at Ashton.

"You really don't have to worry, your grandfather is here and surely he would take good care of her," Ashton answered.

The family was still a bit awkward with one another but slowly, the familiar ties are starting to stabilize.

James who was with Gideon on the distance nodded at them, compared to the past, his facial features have tremendously became gentler.

Especially when he found out that he was about to become a great grand father, the happiness filled him with pride and warmth.

Looking around there are two people that were not present.

Amber smiled knowingly while the others looked at her.

"Leave them be, they finally resolved the issue between them. It is high time that they face one another," she said.

"Were you actually watching them?" the others couldn't help but to ask.

"No but I saw some subtle hints of when they were unaware to when they were slapped with the truth and when they finally realized everything."

She just shrugged, they were talking about Brian and Leslie.

The two of them are currently not present.

When she gave them a call a while ago since their departure was close and they were not yet there. She could hear the sleepiness in her voice.

"Then what are you planning?" another question.

"Why do I have to plan? The two of them have been working nonstop for me. They can use a good month of rest," she answered.

Soon the time for them to leave has finally come and well there are few tears that was shed but all of them knew that this was inevitable.

They need to face the current reality they are having but they also know that one day they will have more time to enjoy each other's company.

Especially when they finally got the result that they desire.

Everyone looked back to where Amber and Ashton were standing and somehow they can see it.

The two of them who experienced a lot would be able to achieve the goals they are trying to reach.

They somehow have a glimpse of a queen and a king within the two of them.

Amber sighed before looking up at Ashton and she could see, despite his emotionless look, he too felt sad that they are to part ways again with the others.

"Let's go home?" she asked to which he nodded and they headed to where Gideon and James were.

But soon their brows furrowed upon seeing the dark look in Gideon's face while he was on the phone.

"What happened?" Ashton asked.

"Ashley was missing, it seems she runaway and no one noticed when she did," Gideon said after he put down the phone.

"Let's return Ash," Amber suggested for they won't be able to do anything while standing there.

"Please leave it to us to search for her, we will surely find her," she then said to Gideon before the two of them left.

After getting back, each of them opened their laptops.

Ashton went to check the flight of every planes that departed from Ceres country while she checked the CCTV cameras of the airport and the places near their house.

"Achernar," they said at the same time.

Ashton found her name in one of the flights going to Achernar while Amber saw her through the departure gates.

She looked at the woman who was with Ashley and remembered that she was among those who cooked during their wedding and she remembered them talking during the wedding.

She looked at Ashton and she knew what he was thinking.

"I am going there anyway leave her to me, you still have a lot of things to do in Celestial country right?" she said.

"Okay, I'll give my parents a call."

Amber looked back to the screen of her computer, she didn't expect that something like this would happen.

"That brat I will surely hit her hard this time."

No one understood why Ashley would do this. She was loved and she was not tasked to do things she didn't want to.

Her parents were supportive of her dreams so why? Why did she runaway?

"We'll know once we see her," Ashton knew what was going in her mind.

He was very much worried but seeing that Ashley went on her own accord, he knew that Ashley too had her own thoughts.

"Well, don't stop me for giving her a beating then."

Ashton chuckled, "Please do give her a piece of your mind."

"I guess it is also time to get back to work."
