265 Even If She Was Just Her Sister-In-Law

"Have you tried contacting her lately?" she asked him.

Jackson introduced himself to her when he turned twelve and the two of them started getting to know each other.

They would message one another with the simplest things and somehow their knowledge about their sibling grew.

Though they met only once or twice for the past four years, the two of them stayed in contact through chats.

Hayley may have hated her father's family but she never blamed the child for anything, she was actually very happy when she found out that her half brother was willing to get to know her.

Jackson thought for a bit, "I have thought her replies were too short compared to the past. What happened?"

He only realized this now that Amber pointed it out. His sister always has long replies but for the past few months, it had shortened a lot.

"You heard that we have fought right?" Amber didn't hide this fact from him.

"Yes, I have heard and well since you told me every detail, I can tell that she was the one in the wrong this time," he answered honestly.

"Well..."

Amber started telling him everything that happened after their fight, even the fact that she was betrayed by the person she loved and finally the fact that she currently couldn't draw.

Jackson stood up after listening to the story, "Where is that jerk? I really am going to kill him right now. What right does he have to hurt my sister?"

Amber pulled him by the hand, "Stop that. Your sister didn't inform you because she knew you would react this way. Plus I already told you the way she handled it was already splendid enough."

Jackson sat down while sulking.

Amber looked at him and chuckled before ruffling his hair, "It is fine, I had someone watch over her. She would surely get back up on her feet."

In reality, Hayley didn't know that it was Amber who helped her brother study and reach this point.

Amber didn't want to tell her and Jackson respected that.

That is why Hayley also didn't know that Jackson was already informed of what is going on around her. Despite wanting to hide it.

"That is why I need you to keep contacting her. She needed someone like you now more than ever. Just try your best not to let her know that you already know what had happened," Amber then said.

Jackson took a deep breath before nodding his head, "I understand. I'll do my best to help her out of her slump even though we are far from one another."

"Now, that's a good younger brother we have there," she teased as she once again ruffled his hair.

"Stop that will you?" he moved away from her hands as he complained.

Amber smiled at him, she wanted to have a younger sibling but didn't get the chance to have one.

"I'm sorry," she blurted out.

Jackson who was fixing his hair looked at her in confusion.

"I didn't protect you well enough. If sir Simon didn't find you, you would have been bullied so much and I couldn't even do anything about it. I have a lot but at the same time I am lacking a lot as well. For that I'm sorry, I am the one who threw you here after all."

Jackson looked away, "It is not like this was your own decision. I came to you first and asked you to help me out. I saw that I would be able to have the best future if I follow you who helped my sister."

"You apologizing for the bullying doesn't sit right with me. You are not the one who bullied me after all. So you really don't need to apologize, I chose this path myself as well."

Amber smiled wider upon hearing his words, "Truly I am so blessed to have you as my younger brother."

"Tse, you should be. I am a one of a kind brother after all. Remember this I only accept my sister Hayley and you as my elder sisters. So be grateful you are one."

"Yes, yes I understand. I am indeed lucky."

After saying this, she could see the pride in Jackson's face.

Then the smile on her face turned to seriousness.

She still has another younger sibling she needs to hit hard in the head. Though she has no idea where she could find that person right now.

One week passed since Ashley runaway, both she and Ashton spent most of that time being together at the same time trying their best to look for her.

But alas, this was much more difficult to do.

Amber could just use her picture to search for her through all the CCTV camera in Achernar country but that is something she didn't want to do when she is doing something that is not related to the police.

Though she was planning to use that as a last resort.

She only gave herself about three months until she would use that method. Though she would have to give those people a call.

Those in the main police force of Celestial Country has jurisdiction on the other countries as well.

The main force in Celestial Country is being acknowledged by every police force on each country.

That is why she needs to give them a call for she has no plans of becoming an illegal hacker.

Well Pianist is half illegal so she didn't want to make herself a full illegal.

In the past, she would only use all the CCTV when it involves Luke and the others, she never tried using it without their knowledge.

And that is also the reason why Luke and the others have certain respect towards her as the Pianist.

"Sir Simon," she then said looking at Simon.

"What is it?"

"Can you help me with something, I think the person I am looking for is quite famous in the culinary world. Is it possible for us to use your connections to find her?"

"Well we could try, who was it?"

Amber pulled out the picture of the woman who was with Ashley during the wedding and their departure.

Simon looked at it and tried to think if he already met this person.

"I don't think I have met her but I'll try it with the others," he suggested to which Amber nodded and thanked him.

"Why? Do you need another chef? You already have me and teacher," Jackson butted in.

"Maybe but that is yet to be seen, for now I need her because I need to meet her companion when she returned here about a week ago," Amber answered.

"Her companion? Do you have a grudge against this person?" Simon became curious as well.

"Not really but I need to hit her real hard once I meet her," Amber said with a sigh.

She never thought Ashley would be this willful. Does she think running away is good? Does she think her parents wouldn't worry for her?

Amber really don't know what is going on in that mind of hers.

"Her? So it is a woman. Very well I'll try and help as well. I too have some connections that may have seen that person in the past," Jackson suggested.

Amber didn't turn his offer down, more people is better than one. Plus, these two are the ones who stayed in Achernar country for so long.

She currently only has them as her connection while they have more.

"If you could do it as soon as possible then that would be better."

Before she left, Liana and Kyle even Gideon and Cathrine were sincerely hoping for her to find Ashley faster.

They were worried sick for she was a young miss, she was sheltered and was someone who grew up in a loving environment.

At the same time, they have no idea who it was that she accompanied and why did she suddenly have the confidence to leave without telling them.

"You seem determined," seeing her look Simon couldn't help but to say.

Amber smiled sadly, "I promised after all, I promised to hit her hard and make her return as soon as possible. At the same time, I can't tolerate the way she acted this time."

She will never tolerate someone who would leave just like that leaving her parents and grandparents worried sick of her whereabouts.

She has her own thoughts but that doesn't excuse the fact that she still runaway.

She could have asked her parents nicely but she chose to just up and go like she didn't have a family at all.

For Amber who lost her family at such a young age and have seen the love they shower her, this is something she will never tolerate. Even if she was just her sister-in-law.
