Chapter 179 - Give Him To Me For A Day

This Allseer's all-seeing eye was temporarily blinded by Rui Fei's handsome face. She failed to notice the small movements and subtle interactions between the two because all her attention was on this ripe fruit ready to be harvested.

With her hands propping up either side of her head she leaned in closer and said, "little Yao, aren't you going to introduce me to your friend. Her I know..... but him..... this must be our first time meeting."

Ji Yao had been staring at Rui Fei while trying to convince him to move over. Rui Fei was like sticky gum stuck on the pavement refusing to move. He turned to her as Rui Fei grabbed Ji Yao's teacup intending to drink from it. Ji Yao took the cup away and placed it on his further right as he replied, "Who he is is none of your business. All I need to know is whether you can find Ji Wen or not?"

Ai shifted her gaze from Rui Fei to Ji Yao with a look of amusement on her face like she hadn't just been shut down. She reached over to touch his arm conducting a little experiment. As she stretched her hand she said, "I can find him for you free of charge." Before her fingers could brush against his hand her wrist was suddenly caught.

It was painful yet pleasant at the same time. Rui Fei's hand felt hot to the touch that she found herself sweating in excitement. Her Nocru ancestors would be so disappointed by her blindness and failure to see what was right in front of her. Ji Yao's brow furrowed looking at the joined hands. He froze in place as his heart rate spiked sharply.

He wanted to grab Rui Fei's hand and wipe it with a clean cloth to remove any trace of her but common sense was telling him that was disrespectful. Ever since he found out that Rui Fei might have more influence on him than he initially thought an inexplicable possessive feeling sprung up and he couldn't stand Rui Fei touching others.

It's just that before he hadn't realised what level of possessiveness he had over Rui Fei. That hand-holding made him realise how deep he had fallen into this dark abyss. To him, it felt like minutes but Rui Fei let go almost immediately.

"He doesn't like being touched so keep your paws to yourself," said Rui Fei with a solemn expression that you would think he was a toddler who had been robbed of his favourite plush toy.

Ji Yao didn't even hear that sentence. His ears were ringing as he struggled to suppress an innumerable pressure building up inside his body. He lowered his head staring blankly at the steam wafting out of the hot cup of tea.

He was so focused on fending off the beast within him threatening to throw a tantrum that he didn't notice Rui Fei's gaze lingering on him. Rui Fei was busy admiring his enchanting side profile with a few strands of hair brushing against his cheek.

He was just like an immortal expelled from the heavenly realm, spotless with no blemishes. Even when he wore an expression so cold it could freeze hell over he still looked dazzling enough to speed up Rui Fei's heartbeat.

Desperate to get Ji Yao's attention he gently tapped his thigh with his own successfully making Ji Yao look at him. In those gorgeous eyes, he saw a hint of dissatisfaction that had him scowling. Ji Yao was unhappy about something but he didn't know what it was exactly that had got him upset.

"Sure," replied Ai slightly biting her lip in a coy manner. It was obvious what was going on in her mind. "How about I touch you instead?" she asked before letting out a weird laugh that had her feeling so embarrassed.

She covered her mouth as her face flushed from shame. She was normally shameless but this time in front of Rui Fei she wished the ground could just open and swallow her whole sparing her from this embarrassment.

Ji Yao, who had had enough interjected, "Can you do it or not? Name your price."

Ai seemed to like the word price. She leaned back with a sly grin and said, "Okay... give him to me for a day and I will find Ji Wen for you. He is a big man anyway, easy to find."

Ji Yao, "..."

"What do you need me for?" asked Rui Fei reaching to grab Ji Yao's teacup again all to get an indirect kiss.

Because Ji Yao was glaring at Ai he didn't notice the little cub's actions. With the teacup at hand, Rui Fei drank it in full view of Xiaoyu. She had personally witnessed Ji Yao drink from that teacup now Rui Fei had put so much effort into getting the cup before drinking it himself.

She couldn't help but wonder if that's true brotherhood. They share the same room, they touch each other much more frequent and now they are sharing utensils. Is that what best friends or sworn brothers do? Share everything?

While Xiaoyu was slowly creeping towards enlightenment Ai replied, "Well, he is handsome and I am single..... that's what I need him for. How about it sweetheart? I will make it worth your while."

"Cough, cough cough... shit..... fuck, cough," were the sounds of Rui Fei coughing and swearing after choking on the tea he was drinking. This was the first time such a thing had happened to him and it had to be from a woman instead of Ji Yao.

Ji Yao felt like he was going to explode. Overwhelmed by the sudden tightness in his chest he grabbed Rui Fei's hand intending to leave. He could care less about finding his father right now. He would prefer to continue hunting the keystones rather than let these two spend some time alone in his absence.

Why the fuck would he pawn Rui Fei to Ai just to find his father? What did he look like? A pimp? It was like asking a boyfriend to pimp out his girlfriend. Not going to happen.

But as he got up the door was suddenly slid open and Tuzi entered holding a black bag. 'Medium built, slim and baby faced,' thought Rui Fei recalling the features described by his sister. It was him. The guy Ji Yao wall slammed in the alley. Clenching his fist tightly Rui Fei refused to move despite Ji Yao pulling him up by the hand.

Ji Yao wasn't in a good mood, he tugged at his hand again and said, "Let's go," with his heart beating rapidly. He just wanted to get out of there before the urge to kill Ai reach the point of no return.

This was a big contrast to Rui Fei. He also wanted to kill someone but he didn't shy away from doing it publicly. He possessed only one per cent of Ji Yao's self-restraint.. Try messing with an impulsive irrational cub's boyfriend and you would get the short end of the stick.
