Huishe Yue's gaze shifted from Ji Yao who was sipping on his steaming cup of tea as an excuse to stop talking and Rui Fei who for the first time in his life wore a stop talking expression. But of course, this uncle wouldn't comply.
He had already booked massage therapy sessions with his lackey for the beating he was going to get in training which meant he feared nothing. He had already cracked the porcelain jar then why not smash it into pieces?
"What?" he pretended to play dumb as he fixed his gaze on Ji Yao refusing to look at his nephew, "if you need my help I need to know exactly what you saw otherwise I won't be able to provide an accurate insight."
Ji Yao, "*cough *cough *cough." That coughing could only be a result of almost choking on his tea.
Rui Fei, "!!!"
He reached over to check on Ji Yao but Ji Yao half raise his hand to stop him. Wiping the corner of his mouth with a handkerchief he said, "I saw my parents and they were happy together. And there was almost a wedding ceremony under a pagoda.... hem." At the end of his vague response, he cleared his throat with the tip of his ears turning red.
"Oh..... oh, you.....," responded a perplexed Huishe Yue as his eyes grew wider and wider. With his hand covering his mouth he noticed the bruise on Ji Yao bottom lip and couldn't help but say, "no need for further explanations, I understand you young ones get too excited about these things. Just don't overdo it."
Oh lord! Overdo what exactly?
The misunderstood pair tried to clarify that the fake wedding didn't even happen hence no bridal chamber affairs occurred but Huishe Yue didn't want to hear it. With a teasing look, he said,
"Now now, you don't have to explain yourselves. The more you deny it the more guilty you look. I am an uncle to both of you and it is my responsibility to give you guidance. Remember to take care of my nephew after doing that..... you know a male's body is not designed to withstand vigorous sports like a female's."
Ji Yao, "!!!"
Rui Fei who had been designated with the receiver's position covered his face with both his hands. He now knew the purpose of uncles. They purely exist to embarrass teenagers, that's their life blood. Everyone has that one embarrassing uncle and Rui Fei was no exception.
"Can we please get back on track?" said Ji Yao with a tremulous voice like he was going to cry. It sounded like it but he was more ashamed than anything else. He wouldn't dare touch Huishe Yue's nephew in that way..... for now, as he wasn't such a casual person.
Though Rui Fei tested his limits dozens of times he could still hold his ground and not do anything excessive. He would rather solve his problems by himself than take advantage of Rui Fei just because he confessed his feelings.
The one who wouldn't mind being taken advantage of couldn't take it anymore. With a face as red as cherries, he said, "Oh fuckin hell, get your mind out of the gutter. Isn't an old man like you ashamed?"
Huishe Yue, "..."
"Ol-old man? Who are you calling old, you..... you tomato face? I am barely a hundred and fifty damn it.....," he spoke through gritted teeth. Who was this brat calling old, huh? He wanted to come up with a good come back but unfortunately, he could only mention the obvious which wasn't really a good insult.
It might not have been a good insult but the red faced Rui Fei got even redder. He knew his face was red but now that it was mentioned he was so embarrassed to death. He was going to make this old man pay for his crimes later.
"Go wash your face," said Ji Yao trying to make this a little less awkward. Rui Fei having been granted leeway obediently left the cabin to wash his face. In his mind, he had killed Huishe Yue ten times already and counting. He couldn't wait to get his hands on him in training.
He fetched fresh water from a barrel into a wooden basin before washing his face standing by the forecastle deck. Big Hei and Xunshi Zhe were playing Chinese checkers with two other crew members when they saw him bustling about.
Seeing how ripe Rui Fei's face looked, Xunshi Zhe couldn't help but tease the madam. "Ah-Hei, he looks like a blushing bride out of the bridal chamber. I say, do you think Captain Ji junior did something to him."
Big Hei took out the thin stick in his mouth and whispered, "You think with Ah-Yao's personality he is the one who did something to him? I think it's the other way around."
"Then why is he blushing if he is the one who attacked Ah-Yao?" replied Xunshi Zhe confident about who was dishing it out and who was on the receiving end in this situation.
"As rigorous as Ah-Yao is would he even know what to do given the chance? Maybe if Rui Fei was a canvas he would know exactly how to handle the package," said Big Hei watching Rui Fei from afar.
"What the... Should you two even be talking about this? What if he finds out," interrupted Lan Wu who was standing on the side with his arms folded across his chest.
The two of them turned to look at him while Xunshi Zhe said, "You should stay out of this. We are yet to come to you about you and that Huishe fellow."
"First it was jumping into the sea to rescue his beloved and now they are cosying around with each other in his cabin. It is true, it is the season for love," said Big Hei with a mysterious gaze. The way these two mocked him you would think he wasn't a member of the Concord.
This pair were meant to respect him just like they respect Ji Wen and Lady Ching Sei but in the absence of their boss they treated him like a crew member. It was as though the title of captain was none existant.
Lan Wu, 'QAQ... how did they even know that?' It's true, he should have just stayed out of it. Now he had dragged himself through the mud.
With the wave of his hand, he said, "Carry on," before stepping a few feet away lest he gets accused of participating in this sensitive discussion.
The two turned back to the board game only to be met by the ashen faces of the other two crew members. With his brows creased Xunshi Zhe asked, "What? You two can't stand to lose?"
