Chapter 10 - 9

The guard couldn't help but swallow as his gaze swept down to the long slender legs exposed through the slits of her dress. His gaze lingered on those beautiful ankles with a gold anklet shining under the light of the flaming torch.

Being leered at like this by a pervert, Ji Yao couldn't help but tremble in anger especially when he thought about how it could have been that little girl being gazed at like that. He clenched his fists on his dress as he pulled his leg back to hide it from the man's view.

'So you like to stare at little girls, uh? Then I will make sure to gouge your eyes out after this,' thought Ji Yao with his fists tightening.

He was fuming but to the guard, he looked like a terrified pitiful bunny. "Don't worry little girl.... as long as you listen to His Majesty he will go easy on you," said the guard before etching this image in his brain for later use.

The huge iron gates opened and the cart was allowed inside. After ten minutes the cart stopped and he heard an older man say, "Ah, master Huang is finally here..... what happened to your face?"

From the steward's view, it seemed Huang She had half his face scraped off on the ground while being dragged by horses just like in dragging death just that in this instance he didn't die.

Half his face was swollen and an apparent boot print formed a pattern with a purple outline. "Steward Laoren, it's nothing to worry about..... I just ran into a door," replied Huang She as he got off his horse. "I brought Prince Rui's goods..... hope Wangzi would be pleased with this treasure."

As soon as he said this, he took off the cloth presenting the so-called treasure. His gaze met those cold eyes and he quickly averted his gaze with a slight tremble. The old steward didn't seem to notice this oddity as he observed the package carefully.

He reached out to pull the face mask and his expression changed to that of astonishment. "Beautiful, beautiful..... master Huang has outdone himself this time. Wangzi will truly be pleased," said the steward as he took out two bags of coins from his sleeve.

Huang She sighed internally as he accepted his payment. Of course, he had outdone himself. A little makeup could change Ji Yao into an enchantress and without it a handsome face that transcends the heavens. This made him curious about which Nocru birthed this boy because he obviously didn't get his looks from Ji Wen.

He gave Ji Yao one more glance before the servants offloaded the cage of his cart. As soon as the cage was taken down he immediately got on his horse to leave. He didn't want to spend too much time in this Pavillion mostly because he didn't want to be anywhere near Ji Wen's kid. That kid left a traumatic shadow on him.

"Aren't you staying for a meal like usual? I know Wangzi isn't here but he instructed us to take great care of you," explained the steward with a set smile revealing his yellow teeth as he gestured with his hand towards the entrance of the Pavillion.

Normally, Huang She would take him up on the offer but this time he just wanted to be as far away as possible from this place. So he politely refused and cupped his hands bidding him farewell before riding away.

The iron gates closed behind him as he rode through the gravel road at lightspeed. Ji Wen hadn't given him the necrolight stone yet but at this moment he just wanted to run for his life as he seriously doubted that two-faced bastard would give it to him. In one day he not only offended one but two powerful people so how can he not make a break for it.

But unfortunately for him, his time had run out because Ji Wen had no intentions of letting him go. How could he let him go when the man upset his Ya Ya? Not possible.

Just as the horse reached the bottom of the hill it suddenly stood on its hind legs causing Huang She to fall off with a loud thump. The horse sped off at light speed fleeing for its life leaving behind its master to fend for himself.

Huang She groaned as he raised his head slowly. It seemed he had broken something when he fell because his face was a deep purple with his veins throbbing underneath his skin. Why purple? It's because his blood was a deep purple.

He spat out a mouthful of dirt vexed as to what went down. He hadn't realised yet that he had just been sucker-punched by an angry dad. Once his hazy eyes focused he saw Ji Wen with a wolfish expression on his face. His head was slightly tilted to the side with his arms crossed behind him.

On his side was a giant of a man and a skinny lad holding a battle-axe with patterns engraved on it over his shoulder. The three musketeers looked especially terrifying standing there glaring at him.

"You see... I didn't misunderstand. I understood your meaning clearly but unfortunately, your actions earlier have consequences," said Ji Wen and as soon as he said that his smile vanished revealing a devilish expression like that of a demon.

Huang She's body stiffened before he abruptly stood up trying to run. The meaning in that face was clear and if he didn't run he would suffer a terrible ending.

Unfortunately for him whether he ran or not it didn't make a difference. As soon as he took a step a grey shadow suddenly appeared in front of him blocking his path. Within that shadow, he saw a familiar face which was undoubtedly that big man.

Big Hei smiled at him revealing a silver tooth. "Grrr arf," barked Big Hei like a pissed off rottweiler. This scared Huang She so much that he fell back on his ass and crawled in reverse terrified out of his mind.

"No, no..... stay the fuck away from me....," he said but stopped talking when he realised he crawled backwards right onto someone's feet. He gulped as beads of cold sweat formed on his forehead. With his heart palpitating faster than a bullet train he slowly raised his head only to find the skinny lad looking at him with an eerie smile plastered on his face.

"Hie," he said before the smile was abruptly wiped off his face as he raised the battle-axe with the inscriptions on it lighting up with luminous white light. "I am grim reaper's cousin, bitch!"

As soon as the skinny man said this the battle-axe descended and chopped Huang She in half and his soul was directly kicked out. His soul was about to fly away when Big Hei suddenly caught it and put it inside a funny looking bottle.

Ji Wen smiled and said, "Let him experience what real hell is," before ambling over to Prince Rui's Pavilion.
