Chapter 26 - Romantic Scene

As expected, Rui Li's cheeks puffed up like a viper before spitting poison. "You and your stupid conspiracy theories. What's next, huh? Are you going to say he is a walking corpse dressed in human skin? You are the one to talk with a face as ugly as a pug."

"At least a pug is ugly but cute. Unlike a certain someone who looks like a hairless sphynx cat," said Rui Yewan exhibiting his true childish side.

"Blobfish!" retorted Rui Lin with a good comeback.

"Ha! Angler fish and the orange kind just like your clothes.... oh shit," he swore when her sabre missed him by an inch. He should have known not to mess with this miniature-sized firecracker.

Rui Fei who was stuck in his own world just now suddenly had to intervene. This type of situation was a regular occurrence that he was barely fazed at this point. With the wave of his hand, the two were at each corner of the room stuck on the wall.

"I still have to find them tomorrow. To be safe you two should wait at the docks for me near Red Bane. It's about time we board that ship," he said before standing up to look around this small cottage.

The two siblings looked at each other wondering how Rui Fei intended on making this happen. They were also confused why they had to board Red Bane. Wasn't it okay to just speak to their benefactor and be on their merry way?

It was then that they realised that they had been searching for this person for years but they never actually discussed what to do after they found them.

Of the three of them, it was Rui Fei who was the most confused. His two-year obsession had led to this but now that he had finally reached the finishing line he didn't want to simply let go just like that. He found that he wanted more than just to say thank you and I owe you one before walking away. It simply wasn't enough.

So he planned on voyaging aboard the pirate king's ship and go with the flow. The only problem was that he had broken the golden rule of Xiehe and killed a bunch of people.

The witnesses to this incident were all in that restaurant and if they pick him out of a crowd in front of any members of the concord then he can only dream about getting on board that ship.

There were two things that could get him identified. One, his seraphic energy which he can manipulate and suppress hence problem solved. Two, his face which he had to hide from the witnesses till he was on board Red Bane.

To solve this he had to disguise himself and since his benefactor can play dress-up then why can't he? Though the result might come out looking questionable it would be greatly effective to conceal his identity.

The following morning in a once dense thick forest as gorgeous as the Amazon jungle, Ji Yao who had been venting overnight had vented till it was as bald as a hairy leg after waxing.

Ji Wen was sitting crossed-legged on a tree stomp wondering where exactly did Ji Yao's temper come from. He himself had a terrible temper but it wasn't this bad. Maybe it was because his and his ex-wife's genes when mixed created a weapon of mass destruction which is Ji Yao.

When he got here yesterday he found Xiaoyu trying to calm Ji Yao down while almost getting herself caught in the crossfire. Feeling a little sympathetic he sent her away realizing then that she might not be the most suitable person to handle Ji Yao. With this kid's temper, she would probably cry herself to death.

With Xiaoyu gone, he sat there for the entire night watching the boy throw a fit. He honestly thought this fit would probably last two hours at most but eight hours in they were still here.

With his fist propping his head up and his elbow digging into his thigh he glanced over at Ji Yao who had paused a little and asked, "Better now?"

Ji Yao stood there with his chest heaving as he responded, "Yes."

"Then why not tell your old man who pissed you off yesterday? How does you going to a restaurant last night warranty this?" he asked with his hands pointing at the dead forest.

Ji Yao clenched his fist recalling that incident and his soothed anger began to boil again. Was he overreacting or something? Should he just laugh it off and forget about it?

"What would you do if Zhang Li groped your ass?" asked Ji Yao as his gaze fell on his father.

Ji Wen let out a scornful laugh before a serious expression sprung up from nowhere. "I will fuck him up that's what. Torture him for six days and six nights straight before striking him with heavenly lightning to death," said Ji Wen already imagining the various methods of torture he would use.

Ji Yao turned his entire body to face his father and asked a follow-up question. "Then what if he gets hard while you are torturing him?"

Ji Wen, "..."

"Speechless, right? I punched him last night because he openly declared that I belonged to him and when I beat him for it he got hard? Like, what the fuck?" said Ji Yao airing out his grievances to his father.

The one word echoing in Ji Wen's brain right now was 'castration, castration, castration damnit!' Okay, two words.

He was about to say he was going to neuter that beast in heat when a person who mind you they hadn't sensed despite having high-grade sixth senses, ran in their direction crying for help.

Just as the person tripped on one of Ji Yao's timber, he swiftly moved to catch them before they fell. The two people spun ninety degrees as a latrion arrow flew past them.

They re-enacted a romantic scene straight from a classic romance novel with Ji Yao holding the lady up by her waist. The two stared into each other's eyes as spring blossomed in their hearts under the shower of falling petals.

This beautiful moment could have lasted longer but Rui Fei just had to open his mouth. "Thank you," he said in a voice as charming and crisp as that of a male.

Thud!

"Ouch...," was the sound of an aggrieved Rui Fei who had been ruthlessly dropped to the ground by Ji Yao.

Ji Wen whose movie had been cut short, "...."

He wanted to reprimand his son and educate him on how to treat a lady but the arrows kept coming making him very displeased.

Ji Yao immediately engaged in battle putting those assassins in their place while Rui Fei pretended to be a helpless weak chicken which we all know he isn't. It seemed his plan to infiltrate Red Bane kicked off with a great sta
