Chapter 50 - Tussling In Bed

The best way to deal with a childish person would be to calmly deescalate the situation and not play into their game. With this kind of cold uncaring approach, they would eventually lose interest and move on.

This is how Ji Yao should have handled things but in reality, this approach wasn't practical especially when he was dealing with Rui Fei. Maybe it was because of the height difference that got to him or those dark eyes taunting him that catalysed this exothermic reaction.

"Give it to me," said Ji Yao with his patience hanging on by a thread. Rui Fei could feel the threat coming from the other side but he couldn't help himself. He had this burning desire to test the limits.

What he was doing right now was equivalent to an idiot poking a sleeping viper with a stick. The end result was pretty obvious but that didn't stop him.

"How about this..... since you don't want to tell me what it is about this gemstone that makes it special then call me didi one time and I will give it to you. That's not a lot to ask, right?" suggested Rui Fei in a reasonable manner but unfortunately for him, his sensible approach was met with major resistance.

Ji Yao clenched his fist as he responded through gritted teeth, "What didi? I don't have a stubborn didi like you. You gave it to me as a gift and you can't take it back."

This was a fact but it was as though his words entered through Rui Fei's left ear and came out his right one without his brain having enough time to process the information.

He completely disregarded Ji Yao's words raising his fist in the air as he backed away with a roguish smile. "No..... call me didi and I will give it to you. It's that simple... say it..... come on..... just say it," he spoke with a look of delight on his face. He found that he enjoyed this very much. In fact, this should be ranked first on the list of his favourite things to do.

Of course, Ji Yao didn't comply. Instead, he took a step forward with each step backwards Rui Fei took. Rui Fei picked up pace distancing himself from Ji Yao escalating the situation.

Ji Yao didn't plan on playing games with him so he engaged his aether ready to put this kid in his place. He had completely forgotten his father's no seraphic energy in the house rule. After having random holes in the walls from little Yao's temper tantrums in the past this was one rule he was strict about.

To be fair, Ji Yao was a stickler for rules but Rui Fei had irritated him so much that he forgot himself. Rui Fei spun around to face him and with his index finger pointing to the ceiling, he said, "Uh Yao-ge have you forgotten about the rules. You aren't about to break your father's one golden rule, are you? Though if you do then my position in your heart must be so high that you would even break rules for me. I am so honoured."

Well, that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Ji Yao jumped him and yes you heard that right, he jumped him. The two of them fell on what would be Rui Fei's bed. Ji Yao was extremely feisty straddling Rui Fei while trying to unclench each of his fingers.

Rui Fei found tussling with Ji Yao was so amusing that he kept struggling while chortling like he was having a lot of fun. From this angle, he had a clear view of Ji Yao's long velvety neck that had blanched from anger. His sleek strands brushed against Rui Fei's skin making him slightly shudder as he laughed even louder.

He was truly enjoying himself but he didn't push it. It's a good thing Rui Fei still had a sense of propriety and knew when to stop before Ji Yao's anger reached its threshold. Rui Fei allowed Ji Yao to unclench all of his five fingers but Ji Yao visibly stiffened when he realized the gemstone was never in that hand in the first place. He checked the other hand only to find it was empty.

"Rui Fei!" he yelled while glaring daggers at him. "Where is it?" he asked pressing down both of Rui Fei's hands on the bed. Maybe it was because these two were pure or simply inexperienced that they didn't realize how ambiguous and easy to misunderstand their body postures were.

Ji Yao had also tossed the no touchy-feely rule he had made earlier. He had done more touching in these five minutes than he had done in eighteen years.

As expected Rui Fei was being a douche about it. He let out a throaty chuckle while shrugging his shoulders. This undoubtedly angered Ji Yao so much that he grabbed a pillow and beat the hell out of him with it. Lucky for Rui Fei the pillow was too fluffy to inflict damage on his body.

"Where..... The... Fuck... Is..... It....!" said Ji Yao with each pillow smack. Ji Yao was this close to smothering him with it when Rui Fei suddenly glanced down at his lapel. it was a fleeting gaze but Ji Yao saw it and tossed the pillow away before digging inside Rui Fei's clothes with no sense of shame. It was hard to believe that this was the same person who felt like dying when someone other than his father got close to him.

He hastily went through Rui Fei's clothes exposing the skin underneath all that fabric. He only stopped once he found it. "You are such a tool, you know that?" he said before smacking the boy once more with the pillow. "Tsk.... so annoying," he added as he got off him.

Ji Yao left the room in hurried footsteps leaving behind a beaming Rui Fei. He sat up straight while awkwardly touching his nose hiding his radiant smile. He got up and tried to catch up with Ji Yao.

When he caught up with him, he naturally draped his arm over Ji Yao's shoulder and said, "What if Captain Ji is sleeping? Don't you want to wait until tomorrow to see him?"

Rui Fei was suddenly thrown over Ji Yao's shoulder before he was slammed on the ground. The two were yet again in an ambiguous position but this time they had an audience.

Rui Li was standing beside them with eyes as sparkly as the northern star as she exclaimed, "Wah!"

Both of them turned their heads to look at her wondering how this little ancestor wandered over here. Wasn't she supposed to be asleep now? "You guys carry on please..... don't mind me," she said reassuring them.
