Ecrin city;

"It's been 2 years since I last saw her. I wonder how she's doing." Peeking at his watch every minute, Wil walked back and forth while waiting for Sierra and mom to arrive.

As something clicked in his mind, he suddenly stopped with a deep frown, and spoke to himself, "I really wonder why I am wasting my time after everything… Am I hoping that I have another chance now that she's single?"

"Are you crazy," Wil suddenly screamed, startling the guard who was curiously watching him from the corner of his eyes, keeping an eye on him until the owner returns as per her orders while wondering about his identity.

Realizing that he actually shouted, Wil immediately takes a glance at a security guard, who then, quickly turned his head away and maintained silence as if he wasn't there.

Feeling embarrassed, Wil immediately wanted to leave away from there and started to walk towards the gate. Just as he was about to step outside, a familiar car appeared in his view, which just entered the street.

"Oh! Here they are." Wil quickly scurried inside and takes his seat, and started browsing something on his phone.

Just as he guessed, the car came to stop across the building, and three people stepped down from the car with one of them being their personal lawyer.

But, Wil's attention was completely stolen by the young woman in her late teens.

She wore a simple white dress with a gold braided belt. Her hair was long, wavy, and golden brown, falling brilliantly over her chest. The girl's face was milky white, with large dazzling eyes that resemble bejeweled water and kissable cherry lips.

Looking at the stunningly gorgeous goddess of his previous life, a satisfactory smile appeared on Wil's lips, "Hah! My princess looks just the same, shining like a diamond…"

Just as he takes a couple of steps to greet them outside, Wil saw the girl stopped walking and knocked on the window of the driver-side door.

Quickly, the door is opened, and a young man with attractive features stepped down from the vehicle, wiping out the smile on Wil's face.

"Br… Bran?" All of a sudden, Wil felt as if large waves started crashing into his mind while his heart became really heavy as he saw both of them smiled together. "They were already close to point of accompanying her mother?"

"Brandon, you can stay here. Too many people won't look nice," spoke Mrs. Couvreur in a cold tone before grabbing her daughter's wrist in a little bit of force as soon as she saw the smiles on them.

Upon hearing her, Wil, whose attention was on them from the start, saw the young man just nodded without a change in his expression while the girl's expression turned 180.

Looking at the scene, he sighed in relief, "looks like her mother doesn't have a good impression of him. If I play my card right, then, I might…"

But, just then, his thoughts froze as he glanced at the crestfallen Sierra, and let out a sigh, once again, "forget it. She's obvious…"

Meanwhile, the lawyer slightly leaned her head towards Mrs. Couvreur and whispered, "He's the one."

The middle-aged woman quickly glanced in his direction, "looks very young. Is he the son of a general with a star or something?"

15 minutes ago;

Inside a van that's parked at the end of the street, three people sat in the back with headphones over them with laptops before them.

"Captain, he's making a call," spoke an officer.

The squad captain nodded and put the headphones on.

"Am I speaking to Mrs. Couvreur?"

After hearing the whole conversation, the captain ordered, "call Aster."

A while later, an S-class Liger brand car entered the residential district of Crescent.

While in the back seat, as the mother and daughter pair sat together, Bran was in the driver's seat, helping them out in place their absent driver while the other front seat was occupied by the lawyer, who was reviewing the documents once again just in case.

"By the way, Brandon, my daughter mentioned that your sister is working at Ares city. What is she doing again?" asked Mrs. Couvreur all of a sudden.

Before Bran replied, Sierra answered while looking at her mobile phone, "It's pro gamer, Mom. Do you know her salary is 240 thousand dollars per annum? It's even higher than the top lawyer in our city, you know…"

Upon hearing the praise of his sister from Sierra's mouth, Bran tried to hide his smile, and said in modesty, "well, the city of Ares is costly to live in."

"C'mon, isn't she about to shift to HQ at Leafway city? Even though Scarlet is relatively a complete newbie in the gaming industry, it's still a giant corporation, right?" said Sierra with a smile, without realizing her mother's expression that drastically changed in the middle after feeling pride in her words that seemed like she was bragging her own sister.

As no one commented anything, she didn't stop her bragging, "But, then again, I guess it's natural. After all, she's the sister of the strongest gamer in the world. And once you…"

Looking at Bran, who was blushing in embarrassment, unbearable to hear such bold words from her daughter, Mrs. Couvreur quickly cut off her speech with a cold tone, "Brandon, your sister is still young. It isn't time for her to go and earn money. It would be better if she quits the job and focuses on the study.

Unlike my daughter, who can afford to waste time and even fail in exams, your family doesn't have such a luxury.

To marry into a well-off household, I think it's better for her to study hard, get into a good university, and get a proper dignified job."

"C'mon, Mom, you are too harsh. What's wrong with…." As Sierra about to refute her statement, Bran interrupted with a nod and answered with a smile, "Yes, I too don't want her to take the burden of doing a job but she is so happy. And I already promised to support her decision until one year."

Sierra then supported him, "Moreover, she's very smart, Mom. I don't have any doubt regarding her getting into Ares University."

Just when her mom was about to lecture her again, the lawyer who sat beside her suddenly pointed at the front, and said, "Looks like there's checking. Hmm, are they, military police?"

Sierra and her mom also stopped their argument and looked at the front, where military police stopped a vehicle before letting them go.

"It's weird that the military is checking for licenses instead of traffic police," commented Sierra as Bran continue to drove slowly towards them.

"Maybe, they are looking for a wanted criminal," commented Mrs. Couvreur, shrugging her shoulders, making everyone nod in agreement.

As their turn came, Bran rolls down the window and takes out his license to show him.

But, instead of looking at it, the soldier walked past him and knocked the window beside the back seats, instead.

Present;

"Hello, Mr. Ravens, it's a pleasure to meet you," spoke Mrs. Couvreur with a pleasant smile as she shook his hands.

"Eh? Did I say my name to her? I didn't, right?"
